A Great Buying Experience

I recently decided to replace my existing 1999 pickup with a new GMC model. Rather than spend days driving between dealerships, I did some research on line and determined that Scranton Motors seemed to have the best selection in my area. I decided to pay them a visit. I arrived at the dealership and was greeted courteously by a gentleman behind the counter. When I explained that I was interested in purchasing a new pickup, this gentleman referred me to Nick Florentino, a sales consultant. I explained to Nick what I was looking for in a truck and provided him with a list of "deal-breakers" -- features that I absolutely had to have -- such as 4-wheel drive (I live WAY out in the country) and a back-up camera (I have a neck injury that prevents me from turning my head more than a few degrees in either direction), as well as a few things that weren't deal-breakers but that would enhance my enjoyment of the vehicle, such as heated power seats (with memory) and a leather interior. Within a very few minutes, Nick located a vehicle on the lot that included not only my entire wish list, but also a number of additional features such as adjustable foot pedals, dual climate controls, heated mirrors, fog lights, OnStar, wi-fi hotspot, Bluetooth, locking tailgate and a premium sound system. Nick thoroughly familiarized me with all of the various features of the truck -- he was familiar with every nuance of the truck's operation. He paired the truck's Bluetooth with my iPhone, and we decided to take the truck for a test drive. Nick asked me if I would prefer to take it on city streets or the highway, and he was most agreeable when I suggested that we do a little of both. Needless to say, the truck handled beautifully. We returned to the dealership and discussed the price, which I found to be very much in line with what I had come to expect based on my on-line research; the price also included a 20% rebate based on the truck's MSRP. I bought the truck. When my wife and I picked up the new vehicle Nick again asked whether I had any questions regarding any of the truck's features, and even helped me to set up my OnStar account. Nick then turned us over to Anjenette Colby, Scranton's business manager, who had all of our paperwork neatly arranged. The signing of documents proceeded smoothly. Nick, as well as the entire staff, was friendly, helpful and courteous throughout the entire transaction, and even contacted my insurance carrier to obtain the necessary insurance ID card. I have been buying vehicles since 1963, but I had never before encountered this level of service. Based on my experience with this purchase, I would not hesitate to recommend Scranton Motors; I never felt pressured, and I got a great truck.
