truck was my first vehicle, i had over 200k on it, not a single problem with it other than maintenance, was a sweet truck and would recommend for anyone looking for a small size truck
We found Theis Motors while looking for a reliable car for our sixteen year old daughter. We approached the business with the usual concern and hesitation that usually accompanies a trip to a used car dealership, but within a few moments of conversing with Mike Jr. we came to realize that this was no ordinary dealership. They function at a level of honesty, integrity, and competence that are rare in this day and time. I would highly recommend them with no hesitation at all.
Best trucks I ever owned.

I think Ford Rangers are the best of the best, when it come to small trucks. I use to work at GM and Chrysler, but I picked a ford Ranger. Most dependable and trust worthy vehicle you can buy. GM and ford make good trucks but I like the ranger. It seem it will run forever.
I appreciate when people work hard, they do over there at Frontier. They got on my request and called back! I was looking for a car, and it was funny how often you don't get calls back like you'd expect. These guys really do want to earn their business. I also feel I got a good deal on my Expedition. Nice car, good price, good people. Nice experience.

Was happy with my truck until this last yearly inspection and was told about excessive rust on the frame. It has less than 68,000 miles on it! I will never buy another Ford again!

Very reliable. No issues mechanically. Seats are a little stiff if you're picky on comfort. Easy to do maintenance. I wish the little trucks stuck around.
i had a wonderful experience purchasing my mazda tribute lat week. jeff ryan was awesome he even offered to come pick me up so i could pick my car. i have never had a salesman go above and beyond like that before.i will certainly be sending family and friends here.they are friendly, fast and efficient thank you frontier motors

This truck has 138K and has never given me a problem other than a new AC system. It has given me trouble free highway miles and has given decent mileage and great performance
I have been involved in 3 New car purchases in the past two years and I haven't had a better experience than the one I had today at Frontier Motors with Jeff Ryan and the rest of the staff. All were patient and not pushy at all. Very professional! I will definitely refer all my friends and family.

I've owned this truck for may years and it has run, without any problems. Over 100 grand on the speedometer and still runs like new. Very versatile as it gets 26 mpg year round.
Don't normally buy used vehicles, but stumbled onto Frontier Motors and could not be happier with the experience. Jake, my sales guy was professional and fair. The truck is great. I found an issue with the radio after I drove it home. Called and they installed a new antenna for me with no problems.
Will go back if looking for another used vehicle. Nice people.
2010 Ranger regular cab, manual trans., 4 cyl.

Good truck. Only problem was bad AC heater blend door actuator which is controlled by the knob you turn to raise or lower cab temperature. If buying make sure this works otherwise it is about a $300 + repair at Ford dealer or shop. AC heater blend door actuator is behind glove box and very difficult to R & R. Took me 3 -4 hours. Part was $20 on ebay and $80 at dealer.
This part commonly fails in some Rangers and you need the heat adjustable when using defroster or windshield will fog up reducing/eliminating visibility.
We have purchased 3 vehicles over years (and my mother another 1). We have always been pleased that we received a great deal on our purchases and fantastic service anytime we have had repairs or maintenance done with them. Truly a great company to deal with.

I bought this Ranger from a Ford Dealer in Michigan. It was traded in from a repeat customer for a Ford F150. This truck was exactly what I was looking for because it was extremely clean and well maintained. It was not driven much in the snow and has no rust on the truck. I do not drive it much in the Indiana winters because I am retired. I even removed the running boards so they would not be rusted by the weather. I wash this truck by hand frequently and wax it twice a year, spring and fall. I even change the oil every 3000 miles. This truck is still in great condition with only 48k miles.
Very easy to do business with! Thanks for the awesome van!
Perfect light truck for commuting and weekend jobs

I bought my Ranger new in 2009 but it has less than 50k miles. I use it to commute occasionally and it is mainly the weekend workhorse for suburban living. It replaced an identical 1998 except that this one is an automatic V6 and it's predecessor had the 4 with a stick. I got rid of the 1998 at 140k miles with having only replaced the timing chain (in addition of course to the usual tires/battery, etc.) My 2009 has not had any problems other than the Takata airbag recall that I had done last week. In working with the dealer on this issue is was not one of their finest moments but my service rep ended up knowing what to do and how to make it right. While I like the new technology in the reborn 2019 Ranger, I am not so sure about the required 4 cylinder engine. Thought about getting a new one since I have had such a good experience with a total of almost 200k miles between the two trucks, but when I do I probably will switch brands in order to stick with a V6. However, at less than 50k miles the only thing I would be getting would be new infotainment technology; the working aspect of the my current truck is fully adequate and no less than a more current model year.
great experience really aprecciated...............
2011 rugged reliable Ford ranger but very cramped

The 4.0 liter engine is extremely reliable fuel effecient and enough muscle to get the work done. Interior is cheap and the super cab sealing is poor allowing alot of road noise into the cab to the point of cannot hear the stereo.
I purchased a car here not too long ago and would recommend VIP auto sales to anyone looking for a good quality used car at a fair price. The salesmen are knowledgeable and easy to work with. I had a car to trade in that had a flat tire and the salesmen drove my car to me while I was at work and changed my tire on the trade in and drove it back. They are more than willing to help you in any way possible. This was an easy 5 stars

The body has stood the test of time as one of my favorites. I'm not a fan of the round body style currently used. The interior gets less than 5 stars because the drivers side seat is lop sided sloping towards the door. The passenger side front brake hose collapsed on me the first day I had the truck, causing the caliper to seize up. Fixed for less than $20, but still unexpected. The drive train for a 19 year old truck is very strong for a 2.3L and I would recommend this vehicle as a first driver for any parents with teen drivers. Be mindful of these areas I'm commenting on though. Electrical and lights hold up well but the temperature gauge never leaves cold. It does move but not much. The tach has also shown spikes from time to time, when the engine was at idle at a traffic light. The engine runs solid but the starter is very noisy upon engagement. I may just have a localized problem due to a recent clutch replacement. Always check all bolts and the direction of your flywheel. Exhaust and emissions are on the mark, I have driven behind this truck and smelled no fumes, seen no smoke. The heat doesn't get really hot, its just tolerable so that you don't freeze. The AC doesn't work at all due to Compressor lock up. Only $230 to replace components and get AC back online. Suspension at 137k has to be looked at. I replaced all 4 shocks and now have a solid ride on the interstate. Something to keep in mind. I hope this review helps others in their search for a second vehicle or their very first.
If you???re looking for a vehicle MC Chevrolet is the place to go. The sales dept is knowledgeable and will work with you. They did a great job at explaining everything- with break downs. I have purchase several vehicles here and have never been disappointed. Service is great.

This car meets my requirements: 4 x 4 6 cylinder fuel efficient pickup truck that has low miles on the clock. Everything I've been looking for and 4 x 4 Rangers are a rare breed indeed!
I had contacted sales/finance guy KC Markley a couple times to tell him what I was looking for and by the time I went in he had picked out a couple of options for me to drive. I went in and left with a 2016 Kia and the process was easy and he explained everything great and answered all the questions I had. Recommend this place and KC 100%.

I bought this truck new, and have used it on the farm mostly. It has 219,000 miles, mostly short stop and go around the farm. I must have shut it off and restarted it a million times. I never had any problems with starter. Never had any problems with manual transmission, and only changed valve cover gasket and intake gasket on engine recently. I am really satisfied with it. Wish I could buy another Ranger, but they quit making them in 2011.
Greg was super, no pressure very laid back and he made me feel so comfortable an very outgoing. He was so helpful, that I ended up finding and buying my Acura MDX, he had it all detailed and paperwork ready when I came to pick it up.. I am shopping for another vehicle for my son and our start and most likely finish will be with GTX.. GTX has made me one happy owner of my Acura, and no financing, because they made it possible for me to pay cash.. Thank you Greg very being so helpful and making this happen for me and Serenity..
