2023 Honda HR-V review
What a great car! I was originally going to get a CR-V but realized I did not really need that much room so I decided to drop down to an HR-V but then get the highest trim level with all the bells and whistles. So now I have all the great comfort and sensors and top infotainment and still paying less than the CR-V. The drive is very smooth and easy to handle. The only "issue" is that it does not accelerate from a stop very quickly but then again I did not buy this to have a race car. And I just need to get used to this being a bigger car than my previous Fit so the gas mileage is not that great. Anyway, If you are looking for the small end of an SUV, this is definitely a car you should focus on.

Also received a follow up phone call the next day to see how we liked the car. Everything Vince told me was right on no games or anything like that. Everyone else at the dealership was very friendly and helpful as well. I dealt with 6-9 other dealerships and delt with various knuckleheads. I would recommend Laguna Niguel Hyundai to anyone looking for a car.
2024 Honda Pilot review
After almost 180,000 trouble-free miles with our 2015 Pilot and an excellent Honda dealer near by, we really didn’t look hard at anything but another Pilot when it was time for a new car. Our EXL, purchased in March 2024, just turned 20,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, and the trip computer says we have averaged 27.1 mpg over the last 5500 miles. That is about 4.5 mpg better than the 2015. The good: It is extremely roomy and comfortable, even the third-row seats. We are very pleased with the fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The headlights are the best we’ve had on any vehicle. I really like the rugged looks, especially compared the the previous generation. It’s great on snowy and slippery surfaces. The not-as-good: This is my first vehicle with all the modern safety aids. I find the lane-departure system annoying, especially in construction zones. The first time I backed out of the garage with bikes on a hitch-mounted carrier, the car automatically slammed on the brakes so hard I thought I ran into something. (Pro tip: Use tow mode when hauling bikes.) I don’t use the adaptive cruise control because it starts matching the speed of the vehicle ahead long before I would normally change lanes to pass, even with the system adjusted accordingly. However, I can’t see that future vehicles will have FEWER of these features, so I suppose I will just have to get used to them.

2023 Honda Passport review
Had problems w/ battery draining at 17 months 22,000 miles. Then at 19 months 25000 miles, the audio unit needed replaced. While mine was In the shop, my service consultant had the same problem. Tow truck service told me they've had numerous calls on Passpotrs w/ dead batteries being dead more than once on the same vehicle. Hopefully we've got it fixed.

So slow it’s almost unsafe! Front seats are not comfortable. Blind spot in side mirrors. Everything else is good. Base engine needs 40 more horses. Sport trim should have a turbo engine.

2023 Honda Pilot review

2024 Honda CR-V review
This is my 3rd CR-V EX-L. It gets more comfortable with each iteration. Performance is outstanding. Fast acceleration. Nice sound for gas-powered vehicle aficionados. The blue color I have is the most beautiful color ever produced by Honda. Fuel efficiency is as advertised. I won’t buy an EV until charging stations are everywhere and charging speed is improved.

2023 Honda Passport review
Made in Lincoln, Alabama, this car may be Japanese in name, but built in the USA. Craftsmanship, fit and finishing are excellent. Car arrived in perfect condition. Just an amazing value, nice being in a full-size vehicle that runs on regular. The V6 is quiet and has lots of pep. Lots of room for passengers and all your stuff. Amazing vehicle, that gets the job done.

Sticky steering wheel when cruising at 40+ speed. The new CRV shares the same platform as the Civic. Since the Civic has a recent recall, expect CRV to have the recall in the future.

2025 Honda Prologue review
I have owned this 2025 Prologue Touring AWD SUV for 3-months, driven 6,500 miles including a 2,200-mile road trip from Austin, TX to Telluride CO. and back and am very satisfied with my purchase. It doesn't have the range or acceleration of an AWD Tesla or Kia EV6, but the performance and range are good ( about 5.9 seconds to 60 mph and real range of 220 miles at 20-80 percent charging) and it is VERY comfortable with a smooth ride. Prologue is a great commuter SUV and a good road car for 200-400 mile distances. I had no issues fast charging at Tesla superchargers across the 2,100 mile Texas to Colorado trip, just plan on a short bathroom-charge break every three hours. The Touring package includes many Tech amenities like heated seats, apple car play, auto headlights, great info-media, navigation, adaptable cruise control, lane assist, auto remote locks, auto tailgate and more. Honda-Link-Onstar works well to control basic features, like charging, cabin temperature control, locks, lights, tire pressure and more. Fast Charging experience is good, but not any faster than 155 kwh at superchargers or 20-80 percent in 25-minutes ..SO just Home Charge it for commuting and save money-NO GAS STATIONS. 2024 Honda CR-V review
Purchased at Lease return, a 2019 with 20k miles, I am at 70k and its been consistent. Gas, Oil change, minor filters, wipers etc. getting average around town 32 MPG on long trips if i stay under or at 70 MPH it gets close to 40 MPG (Its not a hybrid)
