2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV review
Bought this at Modern Mazda in Watertown ct from Steve Duffy…car is great,better than expected. Glad I waited for the new model, the console and feel of the car is better than Cx-9. I dont regret , haven’t been disappointed with a thing. Captains chairs, ventilated seats, HUD and console are why I bought this, plus the extra mileage from phev. I’d recommend researching the install of charger at home before purchasing, charging is where you get the real bang for buck. This car is a tremendous value!

Great car love the sophisticated and upscale exterior and interior First time hybrid plug in purchase and seeing fuel savings, would like to see greater electric range. I purchased a 2019 Mazda CX-5 online from Colorado from Mark Mazda. I couldn’t be happier. The online buying process was simple. I could figure out the exact cost of the vehicle ahead of time, which was helpful when comparing vehicles. I feel I got a MUCH better deal than dealers in CO were offering, even with the “inconvenience” of traveling to AZ to pick up the car. James Fajardo, my salesperson, is FANTASTIC!!! He picked me up from the airport, gave me an overview of the vehicle and even took the time to follow up with the prep guys to get a slight scratch I didn’t notice on the vehicle buffed out. My vehicle was immaculate when I picked it up. James really went above and beyond to make me feel my business was valued. I would highly recommend him. I appreciated the dealership’s willingness to work with me as an out of state buyer. Rick in finance was great too. My only complaint (and thus the 4 stars for the buying process) was having to wait about an hour to get in to see Rick. That part could have been better, considering I had a long drive home. It’s an older dealership so there’s not much to the facilities, but that not what I really cared about. I understand they’ll be moving into a brand new place later in the year which looks much nicer. I’m so happy with my experience I would buy another vehicle from James in the future - even with a long drive home!

Every person we worked with was positive and professional. They knew the history of the car and talked honestly about all of it. Also great that they do CPO for Mazda - hard to find that for the car we wanted. I would highly recommend this dealer for anyone looking for a high quality used car. They are probably great for new cars too, but I didn’t interact with them on that.

2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV review
Bought the CX-90 in early Feb. 2024 and immediately drove across the country and back. No issues at all. After 4,000 miles, the actual performance was consistent with all of the video reviews. Very comfortable interior with high end feel.Apple Car Play worked seamlessly with GPS system Waze. Hands free controls was smooth and prompt. PHEV experience was solid. Love the charging prioritization feature while driving. Takes about 2 hours on the highway to reach a full charge so that at destination you can operate on EV mode. At home, Level 1 charge takes about 10 hours (overnight) Wish the 26 mile EV range was more like 50 but maybe in future models. Combined MPG with 98% highway driving on the road trip was 25.5 mpg. Overall, so far so good. Vey happy with the purchase.

Second time buying a mazda here. We all know how exhausting the process can be and we are in different kind of business - They are in the business of making money and I am here to save - total opposites. It was a fair negotiation, they very attentive, did a few little extra perks to accommodate me, wasn’t overly pressured and Naim & Hassan are kind and respectful. Naim has a wealth of knowledge about cars in general, so pick his brain. Finance guy was nice too, extremely precise, and I can only say good things about the service desk - they have always tried to get me in & out as fast as possible. Overall great experience and they all have a good sense of humor.
2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV review
I really do love my CX-90 PHEV but, as anyone will tell you as an early owner of a brand new model of anything, there are kinks to work out. I can get most of my driving done on battery without having to transition to the gas engine which is awesome. The amount of time it takes to charge is not awesome. I would schedule all of my charging to happen late at night when power is cheapest but the charger it comes with takes 11 hours to fully charge. I bought a level 2 charger which takes closer to 8 hours. An improvement but not what I was hoping for. The infotainment system randomly but consistently disconnects from my phone without explanation or warning. It reconnects quickly but it is very annoying. Finally, the engine will sometimes have hiccups when I'm driving on either engine. I will feel a weird surge of power which worries me a bit. Other than not being able to get the color I wanted (I was told "soul red" isn't popular on larger, "mom" cars) I am very happy with the car. It is stylish, fits my whole family very comfortably, and it was a wonderful upgrade from my 2020 CX-5 (which I also LOVED). I can't wait to see what the future holds with PHEV vehicles. What a wonderful bridge between gas and electric - makes it feel totally reliable!
