I had never bought a car before and only heard horrible things about how awful the process of car buying can be. However, this was NOT my experience with Ourisman Honda of Laurel!! I was greeted with nothing but professionalism, compassion, and kindness. They truly care about their customers! George was INCREDIBLE every step of the way. He even sent me a video of the vehicle I was interested in before I came in. He made every part of the process easy to understand and made sure I would be able to drive off with the car I wanted. I can’t say enough about George. He was so kind and caring and willing to do whatever it took for me to be able to officially say “I’m a car owner!” He took his time with me and never made me feel rushed. Thank you George!! Bought a 2023 Mini Countryman ALL4 John Cooper Works Edition of the car, and received my order last summer. Simply put, the performance is AMAZING. Put it in Sport Mode (a minor inconvenience), and it becomes a force to be reckoned with, especially to those unaware of this car’s capabilities. It’s marketed as a Mini—SUV, and I think that’s a fair categorization. Still have plenty of room for passengers, groceries,!etc, without sacrificing much, if any, performance. My only complaints? Difficult/clumsy control mechanism to get into Sport Mode, no native Android support, and rear windows are awkwardly installed, and have been “properly aligned” with remainder of car, instead of giving the appearance of being aligned with front/rear windows. In summation, this car performs better than its competition (a 2L inline 4cylinder, lightly turbocharged/intercooled, AWD, pretty aesthetics, and lots of opportunities for upgrades, beyond 301HP, 331FT/LBS Torque, and you have a contender for “production car SLEEPER OF THE YEAR!”), like the other “hot hatches”. Everytime my wife or I drive it, we NOW take turns.(she was bitten by the Mini bug) driving it EVERYWHERE, from trips to work, to the grocery store, and vacation driving. You really have to drive a JCW in Sport Mode to appreciate what I’ve said. Anyhow, these are my impressions on this amazing little car. Worth every penny, not getting rid of or replacing it, anytime soon!

I am on my 2nd Countryman! I was always a Mercedes driver as I had 8 of them. I was looking for something a little taller with plenty of room. I needed all wheel drive and I ended up with so much more. This car is sporty, fun great on the snow and so much room. Also let me highlight it is great on gas. I have had a very good experience with the sales team! I bought with Evan Williams. He still checks in! The service department is so professional and I can't say enough positive things about Mini in Glencoe!

I have had my Countryman S for about 7 months and 2000 miles (I have two other cars). It’s Chili Red with Petrol Blue interior. My favorite points are 1. The interior. If you love interesting fun interiors as I do then you will love it. If you try to avoid black interiors and exteriors you eliminate 90% of the cars other make. With Mini, you can get perhaps the most fun interiors anywhere and the Vescin seems comfortable enough. Just with they had ventilated seats. 2. Power, FINALLY Mini got a full BMW tune given you pay about the same price. It is plenty quick and I get 33-36mpg on the highway all the time. Drops much lower zooming around town. 3. Appearance and layout. I like the unique appearance, low roof line for kayaks and plenty of room for the kind of car it is. Negatives: 1. Electronics. Had several updates since I bought it and it has improved a lot but will take some getting used to. Use the favorites menu. Everything is pretty much forced onto the center screen. Sometimes Mini does things to be cute rather than practical. Rather than a start button it uses a flag toggle key you turn off and on like an old fashioned key. If you have to change cars like I do it’s confusing. 2. Center console. Basically, there is not one. There’s a little clam shaped compartment the size of a clutch purse. The armrest doesn’t open. Wasted potential. You will hate this if you are used to piling layers of stuff in a huge center console. Glove box is minimal, too. Neutral. 1. There’s no screen behind the wheel but there is a heads up display. Frankly, after awhile I don’t miss it at all. The heads up is excellent but it takes a little getting used to. 2. Suspension is a bit stiff like all Mini’s. Makes it sporty but trade off is feeling most road imperfections. It does take the top off bumps well but it’s a trade off. In summary, the reliability has been good AFTER the electronics updates and most things work well. It is just so fun to drive and look at inside and out that really I am not sure what I’d rather drive. You might cross shop the BMW X1 and see which works better for you. You cannot beat Mini interiors though for just pure fun and the driving matches on what is a practical Mini for a family. Oh, I got it to tow a camper but I have yet to do that. That is a great new addition in my book. I will probably get a kayak trailer.

I went through the processes inquiring about a vehicle and although in the end I decided on a different one outside of this dealership, I felt the the whole process was very transparent, no hassle, courteous, and professional. Kudos to Julian! Down the line when it’s time for another vehicle, I’ll be revisiting Rosenthal Acura.

2015 Countryman S.Very reliable; bought from Bergstrom. Steering problem when turning on bumpy roads.New models (after 2017) are better; but I don’t know about reliability.Have fun!

I was shopping for a very specific Corvette convertible and found a 2006 available at South Street Autos. Since I am from central New Jersey and was facing a 3 hour 25 minute drive to Maryland(according to Mapquest), each way, I called hoping to get some information about the car that was not listed on the website. Wayne was extremely helpful and courteous on the phone, answering all my questions. Most cars look great on the internet and then you get there and it's not what you expected or hoped for. Wayne and John were totally upfront and honest about the car. They were very understanding of how far away I was and were kind enough to pre-negotiate the price on the phone (most dealers would not do this) and provide me with an "out the door" price so that all I had to do was make the drive there and hope it was everything they said it was. Well, I made the trip and it was as beautiful in person as it looked online and was EXACTLY as they had described it. Because we worked out a price that was fair to everyone and the car was what I was "sold" on the phone, I bought the car on the spot and am thrilled with my purchase and the quality of the car. I would definitely make the 6-7 hour round trip again to buy a car from them, it was well worth it! Thank you for your honesty and fairness!

This my second Cooper S Countryman ALL4. My first I had for only two months, a 2013. I was T-boned in an intersection by a BMW X2 Hit with such force that both vehicles were non repairable. I walked away from what could have been a disaster. I absolutely love my 2017 Countryman S it is yards above the 2013 in every category. I am perplexed about the lack of satellite radio and other electronic features but I still love this car. Great build quality and styling for the used price of a 4 year old Hyundai or Kia. I'm glad I purchased again.

What a pleasant experience. My first time financing a vehicle. When going to initially look at the vehicle, I discovered a few issues. Obviously no used car is going to be perfect, nor was I expecting it to be. They told me to come back the next day and the issues would be fixed. I came back and they did in fact fix the car. They are willing to and have went above and beyond.

The countryman is the perfect compromise for those who want a Mini and still want a workable amount of interior space. The gas mileage is insanely good, it's fun to drive, and you will be running laps past everyone at the stoplights because of how zippy it is. Parking is also never an issue, always lots of space, and easy to maneuver. My only two complaints are that maintenance tends to be expensive (when you factor in the gas savings though, I'd say it pays for itself) and the engine is weak. If you load even just a couple hundred pounds of passengers and cargo into it, it can drive for maybe an hour or so before the engine light kicks on and begs for mercy. I've never had this result in an actual issue that caused a breakdown or required us to pull over, and maintenance confirmed that there are no larger issues with my engine in particular. Turns out that it just limits its own engine power whenever it's struggling. But it is a bit annoying, especially on longer trips.

I am the second owner of my 2015 Mini Countryman S and love it. It is the most reliable car I have had in several years. Not very comfortable for long rides and expensive for things not in my service maintenance agreement - lightbulbs $300?! I do have dealer service every time and keep up with service timeline... Bought a 2018 Mini Countryman Base model pre owned and have loved everyday with it. Only had one issue and that being something with the Valve Gas Breather. I have yet to fix it yet and it’s been about 3 months. Doesn’t cause any noticeable performance issue (besides the decrease in fuel mileage), just the check engine light on. Other than that, I drive this around the island. Very easy to park and maneuver around. I am planning on getting the newer Mini Countryman about 2 years after they’re released so they can work out all the kinks and stuff.
