This car is incredible. Got caught in a snow and ice storm and it handled better than our 4x4. Safety features are incredible. Love it
Alex was great to deal with. Got a great deal no hassles! I would highly recommend! We love our new 2019 Subaru Forester! We would buy agai!

I did extensive research on mid-size SUVs. I hadn't really considered the Ascent until I checked Consumer Reports. I figured I would give it a test drive. That was the deciding factor. I haven't regretted the purchase. It is a comfortable, nimble and reliable vehicle. I could add several more positive adjectives but you get the idea.
Very disappointing. Car I intended to buy was sold out from underneath me. Poor communication between sales staff. Would never recommend your dealershi nop to anyone.
Our 3rd Subaru

We've had 2 Subaru Foresters previously and had no problems what so ever. Buying an Ascent was not a hard decision. We wanted more room and comfort so we bought the Limited model. 4 months and aprox 7500 miles, both city and highway miles with no problems at all. Excellent vehicle
Great time buying at Paul Miller. Great, personable staff.
Love the Ascent

We are about 2 months into our Ascent ownership and it’s one of the best vehicles we’ve ever owned. We compared it to the Toyota Highlander, Acura RDX, Lexus RX and Infiniti QX50 and 60 and nothing else compared. The Ascent had so many more features for the money, rode better and had all of the latest tech. Super comfortable seats and a smooth ride is what we enjoy most. Highlander is ancient next to the Ascent, Acura had a terrible ride and the Lexus and Infiniti’s lacked basic things like Apple CarPlay and were so over priced when adding features. It’s not the flashiest suv on the road but it’s the best all around SUV out there for the price.
Alex was the person I sealed with at Ramsey Subaru. From start to finish, he went to the extra mile to identify the vehicle I want and worked to get it with the reasonable price point. After the car arrived to the dealership he immediately set up the appointment to pick up the car which I couldn???t make due to my flight arriving late from overseas. He still accommodated us same day even they were so busy and delivered the car to us without any issues and problems.
Great car but user controls are a mess

The car looks good, drives great and performance is acceptable. The car is comfortable and quiet and both the interior and exterior are attractive. We don't know anything about reliability yet as the car is very new. Unfortunately it seems to have been designed by folks who are so smart they can make all our decisions for us. As a result, the user controls and the display interface are a total mess. That's why I downgraded the 'Interior Design' category.
Just purchased a CPO Crosstrek last night. The total experience was terrific. We never felt that we were being given a sales pitch. We went in knowing what we wanted and there was never an attempt to talk us into anything else. All employees were professional and efficient. It began with Karen at the front desk. She was friendly and accommodating. Then we took a test drive all over Ramsey with Christopher Fuchs. It wasn't just a quick drive. Chris answered all technical questions about the vehicle. We got a real feel for the vehicle. Then we worked with Alex Petrushin for the trade-in and the purchase. Alex was fair with us and efficiently completed the required paperwork to get the deal moving. He was knowledgeable and friendly and top notch. Then we sat down with Michael Pandolfelli for the financing end of things and Michael was also efficient and friendly. There was one last gentlemen that we dealt with and not sure of his name who assisted with the app along with Chris. Another pleasant and helpful person. All in all I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. This is our first Subaru and it will not be our last because of the great experience at Ramsey Subaru! Well done Gentlemen!
Owned since September 2018

First and foremost I would not classify myself as a Subaru owner for life. The 2019 Ascent is the second Subaru I’ve owned. I formulated most of my opinions about Subaru from the 2014 Legacy I own (and still drive daily).
First of all this thing is massive. If you’re buying or considering buying the Ascent because of its fuel economy I would think twice. I definitely did not buy the Ascent for its mpg capability. Power and drive: This thing is fast, and feels fast. When you stomp the pedal it has tons of power thanks to that turbocharger under the hood. That’s great but just remember you’re getting 5mpg with the pedal mashed to the floor. At crushing speeds (65-75) driving flat and inclines I averaged 24 mpg on. 700 mile road trip. When I needed power it was there and when I needed fuel economy it was there also. The AWD system is on all the time and in the rain and snow I literally do not wonder if I’ll need to slow down but rather you need to figure out how to get through traffic.
Technology: I opted for the limited trim with the technology package. The panoramic sunroof is beautiful and has worked as advertised. My ONLY complaint is that the sound system is lacking. The Harmon kardon sound system is basic at best in this thing. The sound system in my 2014 premium model Legacy sounds amazing compared to this thing. The touchscreen is responsive however, and the apple car play features are extremely convenient.
Safety: the Eyesoght system is cool. I had never owned a car with it before so of course I have a few things I don’t like about it. What I do like about it is it’s safe. If the eyesight system thinks you are in danger it will slow you down and most of the time do it faster than you. My wife and kids are in this car everyday and I am comfortable knowing that eyesight has their back. Now on to the things I personally don’t like about eyesight. Adaptive cruise control. It would be nice if you could turn Eyesight off...and just cruise. It is a minor nuisance BUT you must know....without eyesight...you have no cruise control. When it’s raining and you are on a road trip with cruise control set, of eyesight trips off your car will slam forward and you will get freaked out as to “why is my car slowing down”. It would be REALLY convenient if Subaru had an option to just let the car cruise...without the adaptive cruise control feature, just like my 2014 Legacy.
Comfort and convenience: 19 cup Holders is not that big of a deal to me but it’s nice having cup holders for my kids. THEY think it’s cool and it’s one less thing to fight about on a road trip. The seats are extremely comfortable over long distances and the real win is the amount of USB ports located throughout the car.
Last and most important....space. If you’re think about this car for the cargo space you will not be disappointed. It’s huge...and there is a ton of room. This is the first road trip where everyone got to bring their suitcase and I never had to say “we don’t ha e room for that”.
To sum up this review, I would recommend the Ascent to someone who is a former Subaru owner who appreciates the AWD system and safety features that it has at its disposal. If you are looking for super awesome mpg and minimal cup holders you should look elsewhere. You will be hard pressed to find the used Subaru that you are looking for because people don’t get rid of them.
