We currently own the Outback 2024 XT, and it’s a great car to drive. However, its turbo CVT engine does produce a slight lag in acceleration and when slowing down. Just a matter of getting used to. Also had issue with the lift gate button, which broke after only two months in possession. My wife and I are in our 60s, and all our kids have their own families, so thank goodness we don’t have to drive those 8 seater SUVs anymore. This outback has been the best alternative for us.

2024 Subaru Outback review
The acceleration lag that this car has is immediately outweighed by everything else. This car is super smooth and granny sedan comfy, and it has more utility than any equally priced SUV. The roof rails have built-in cross bars that stow, it tows 3500 pounds, and the Harmon-Kardon sound system kicks. It has butt fans, people. Additionally, the aftermarket base is thick, so accessories, customization, and reflashing options abound. The tech is old, the powertrain is old, but you see 300 of them a day for a reason.

I purchased a 2026 Subaru Solterra from the Subaru Port Richey location. The employees at this location have done nothing but go above and beyond for John and I . Since this is a new electric car there has been some hurdles with SubaruConnect. Frank and Nasser has exceeded our expectations by helping us get in touch with the correct people at SubaruConnect to get this system resolved . The service department is also now assisting allowing me to leave the car there to assist and figure it out for us. I’ve worked for the insurance industry for 27 years and deal with shops all the time. I definitely will recommend Subaru of Port Richey for any future car buying.
2024 Subaru Outback review
The Subaru Outback is one of the best cars on the road. This car is definitely worth every penny that it costs. Performance at reliability cannot be underestimated. The company stands behind its warranty in every way. It’s like having a more expensive car without the hassle and expense!

On a late Friday afternoon shortly before closing we pulled into this Subaru dealership with a potential dead battery. Now I realize this is not a major problem but experiencing this after hurricane issues and brain surgery, it was a big deal. Their policy is to put the vehicle thru a 2 hr test before putting a new battery in. With no loaners in sight at first and a husband not in good health we couldn’t be without a vehicle. This is when “Danny” De Angelis came to our rescue. The way he treated us at almost closing time, the care, the concern he showed us was deeply appreciated. Subaru can take pride in this gentleman who knows how to treat customers and those of us who are stressed to the max. In no way, did he “rush” us thru. I always recommend this dealership when people ask me where I go for service. When I tell them Lakeland, I’m always asked why I go so far. I always tell them that I would go twice as far for great customer service and service department than to go to a service department that always seems to be a revolving door of staff and it’s never the same people twice.
