2023 Volkswagen Taos review
Our 2022 Taos is almost 2 years old with about 21K mileage. Very satisfied with our car. For the price point (25K) it provides good handling, a comfortable ride and great interior space for a subcompact SUV. The gas mileage is amazing at over 40 MPG on the highway and about 30 MPG tooling around town. Couldn't be happier!

2023 MINI Countryman review
I am on my 2nd Countryman! I was always a Mercedes driver as I had 8 of them. I was looking for something a little taller with plenty of room. I needed all wheel drive and I ended up with so much more. This car is sporty, fun great on the snow and so much room. Also let me highlight it is great on gas. I have had a very good experience with the sales team! I bought with Evan Williams. He still checks in! The service department is so professional and I can't say enough positive things about Mini in Glencoe!

2023 MINI Countryman review
Bought a 2023 Mini Countryman ALL4 John Cooper Works Edition of the car, and received my order last summer. Simply put, the performance is AMAZING. Put it in Sport Mode (a minor inconvenience), and it becomes a force to be reckoned with, especially to those unaware of this car’s capabilities. It’s marketed as a Mini—SUV, and I think that’s a fair categorization. Still have plenty of room for passengers, groceries,!etc, without sacrificing much, if any, performance. My only complaints? Difficult/clumsy control mechanism to get into Sport Mode, no native Android support, and rear windows are awkwardly installed, and have been “properly aligned” with remainder of car, instead of giving the appearance of being aligned with front/rear windows. In summation, this car performs better than its competition (a 2L inline 4cylinder, lightly turbocharged/intercooled, AWD, pretty aesthetics, and lots of opportunities for upgrades, beyond 301HP, 331FT/LBS Torque, and you have a contender for “production car SLEEPER OF THE YEAR!”), like the other “hot hatches”. Everytime my wife or I drive it, we NOW take turns.(she was bitten by the Mini bug) driving it EVERYWHERE, from trips to work, to the grocery store, and vacation driving. You really have to drive a JCW in Sport Mode to appreciate what I’ve said. Anyhow, these are my impressions on this amazing little car. Worth every penny, not getting rid of or replacing it, anytime soon!

2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport review
Before I bought this I was driving a BMW 330i xdrive great car. But I wanted something which much more room and reliable. I had this car about 10 years ago and loved it. It’s great on gas drive smooth wish the engine would have a little more power. The interior is super comfy but feels a bit outdated. I feel like for a 28k car called sport it should be a little more sporty. Like electric seats fr example. But other than that interior is great heated seat are great ! Driving is alright and overall all I’ll give it a 4 out of 5 !

2025 MINI Countryman review
I have had my Countryman S for about 7 months and 2000 miles (I have two other cars). It’s Chili Red with Petrol Blue interior. My favorite points are 1. The interior. If you love interesting fun interiors as I do then you will love it. If you try to avoid black interiors and exteriors you eliminate 90% of the cars other make. With Mini, you can get perhaps the most fun interiors anywhere and the Vescin seems comfortable enough. Just with they had ventilated seats. 2. Power, FINALLY Mini got a full BMW tune given you pay about the same price. It is plenty quick and I get 33-36mpg on the highway all the time. Drops much lower zooming around town. 3. Appearance and layout. I like the unique appearance, low roof line for kayaks and plenty of room for the kind of car it is. Negatives: 1. Electronics. Had several updates since I bought it and it has improved a lot but will take some getting used to. Use the favorites menu. Everything is pretty much forced onto the center screen. Sometimes Mini does things to be cute rather than practical. Rather than a start button it uses a flag toggle key you turn off and on like an old fashioned key. If you have to change cars like I do it’s confusing. 2. Center console. Basically, there is not one. There’s a little clam shaped compartment the size of a clutch purse. The armrest doesn’t open. Wasted potential. You will hate this if you are used to piling layers of stuff in a huge center console. Glove box is minimal, too. Neutral. 1. There’s no screen behind the wheel but there is a heads up display. Frankly, after awhile I don’t miss it at all. The heads up is excellent but it takes a little getting used to. 2. Suspension is a bit stiff like all Mini’s. Makes it sporty but trade off is feeling most road imperfections. It does take the top off bumps well but it’s a trade off. In summary, the reliability has been good AFTER the electronics updates and most things work well. It is just so fun to drive and look at inside and out that really I am not sure what I’d rather drive. You might cross shop the BMW X1 and see which works better for you. You cannot beat Mini interiors though for just pure fun and the driving matches on what is a practical Mini for a family. Oh, I got it to tow a camper but I have yet to do that. 2024 BMW X1 review
The 2024 BMW X1 is nimble and responsive. It has an excellent memory for self-driving the car to back out of tight parking spots along the path the driver used to get into it. The car feels spacious inside and is easy to get into. My observed hwy mileage is 36mpg @ 75mph and 22mpg in suburban driving. It’s defects are: 1) the driver must learn how to start from a stop to avoid a sluggish pick-up or a sudden forward jerk; 2) the owner’s manual does not include directions for setting up the electronics, so the owner must resort to a complex cryptic in-car system that is difficult to sort through; 3) the built-in navigation system's is hard to use; the owner will resort to Waze or Car Play; 4) the car is bumpy on rough surfaces, and vibrates like a massage unit on washboard.

After connecting with the Tony, the sales manager, I set up an appointment to see the car. The sales team was friendly and welcoming. I will disclose that I take an extremely detailed in my approach to buying a used car. Tony and his team accommodated my request to put the car on a lift, talk to his service manager, and get the car inspected in Maryland because the requirements are different state to state. In addition, Tony was flexible and straight shooting about the cost of his car and extremely transparent when discussing terms. Tony went the extra mile and addressed my concerns regarding specific items that caused the car to fail Maryland inspection. What I valued the most, was Tony's honesty during the process. Don't get me wrong the sales team are salesmen because they need to sell a car. But the experience was good because Tony went out of his way to be creative in order to make a deal. All in all it was a good experience.
2017 MINI Countryman review
This my second Cooper S Countryman ALL4. My first I had for only two months, a 2013. I was T-boned in an intersection by a BMW X2 Hit with such force that both vehicles were non repairable. I walked away from what could have been a disaster. I absolutely love my 2017 Countryman S it is yards above the 2013 in every category. I am perplexed about the lack of satellite radio and other electronic features but I still love this car. Great build quality and styling for the used price of a 4 year old Hyundai or Kia. I'm glad I purchased again.

2017 MINI Countryman review
I've owned this MINI Countryman Cooper S for several years, and it has been one of my favorite vehicles I've ever owned. I had always wanted a MINI, and after owning one, I can honestly say I have no regrets. What surprised me most was how comfortable it is. I've taken multiple long road trips in this vehicle, and unlike some cars I've owned in the past, I never felt stiff or uncomfortable after spending hours behind the wheel. The seats are supportive, and it's a great vehicle for both daily driving and longer journeys. The handling is outstanding. It has that tight, responsive feel that people who enjoy driving BMWs will appreciate. It feels connected to the road, corners confidently, and is simply fun to drive every time you get behind the wheel. I also like that the technology is useful without being overwhelming. It has the features I want, but it still feels like a driver's car rather than a computer on wheels. The panoramic sunroof, premium audio system, and overall interior design make it feel more upscale than its price point would suggest. Most of all, I love the styling. The Countryman stands out from the crowd and has a unique personality that many vehicles lack. Every time I walked up to it, it felt like I was getting into something special. It's practical enough for everyday use, comfortable enough for road trips, and distinctive enough to put a smile on your face. If you're looking for a compact SUV that's fun, comfortable, and different from everything else on the road, the MINI Countryman is worth serious consideration.

2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport review
traded my 2021 for a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport limited edition last month. I'm very happy with it. Mitsubishi has made some improvements. bigger screen, leather steering wheel and shifter. I like that I have heated seats and telescoping steering wheel now! and it's 4 wheel drive. helps when I go fishing. 😂 great gas mileage! just needs a little more power under the hood. but for the price and reliability it's very worth it. plus an amazing warranty!
