2025 Honda HR-V review
Love the car....I have 2 concerns. First, the driver's seat is not comfortable (this is my wife's car) ....the other seats are fine. This is weird. We have the all wheeled drive version. It loves gasoline !!! My Toyota Corolla gets 38-40 mpg with a smaller but peppier engine. This HR-V Gets between 25-28.....not sure why. HOWEVER. This car drives like a dream... VERY SMOOTH. Love the car !!!

2016 Honda HR-V review
Overall, it's great! It's a Honda and it is reliable and holds up well over time! It can be parked anywhere! However, the heater is terrible - takes over 20 minutes to warm up the car inside (my 1996 Civic and 2002 CR-V had fantastic heaters, I don't know what Honda's done to ruin their heaters). It is also bad for road noise, it is difficult to hear passengers because of all the road noise on a highway!

2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer review
Drove one in New York, NJ ,PA area for work (rental). Loved the connectivity to Android, very simple, you get what you need. Comfortable, drove about 800 miles and it did very well driving in all sorts of traffic and terrain conditions. Overall very satisfied with the car, would consider buying one if the reliability is good long term.

Bought brand new 9 miles on it now 5400 went from Iowa through Colorado to Arizona no problems other that forward Collison sensors getting dirty and the auto stop start not always working.I used rock mode on my trailhawk in canyon land it was a blast

2024 Jeep Compass review
We purchased a 2024 Jeep Compass Limited Elite. This vehicle has far surpassed our expectations for comfort, handling, road noise and quality. There is very little road noise we hear inside the vehicle, and this allows us to keep the radio turned down to a comfortable level. Handling is exceptional and very responsive. The driver safety features of lane guidance, adaptive cruise control (my favorite) and 360-degree backup camera are now features we will not go without after experiencing first hand performance. I've been meaning to write a review of a purchase from last December but life took over! I purchased a 2015 Lexus with 24K miles. I had been looking for a low mileage Lexus as my vehicle was on its way out. Soon as I saw the ad on a Saturday morning, I sent an inquiry online and received a call back from Firas within 15 minutes. The vehicle was not quite ready to test drive as a part was needed but I was kept up to date from Firas as to the status. I was able to put down a $1k deposit and be approved for financing on line. I have a 10-year old with lots of energy so was nice to be able to complete documents at home. I'm an hour away from Monterey, so when the vehicle was ready, my sis drove us to the dealership, test drove and completed paper work in about two hours. I was then off and away with my super low mileage Lexus RX 350. Easy and quick process! Highly recommend Audi Monterey. My hubby and daughter love the vehicle...I just need to watch my speeding. My kiddo enjoyed the hot chocolate as well. :) Hope this helps anyone looking for a used vehicle. I'm sure they have a great process for new purchases as well!

2022 Nissan Kicks review
Good quality car. After so many long trips I enjoyed any time with my family, ex. Medellín to Guajira more or less 1000 KMS ~ 600 miles. It is an Mt Advance version and does not have as many technical assistants. But it is a city car, don't expect too much. it doesn't have much strength

2023 Kia Niro review
This is my first kia. The fit and trim are solid. The car is sound all around. Great gas mileage between 46 in the very cold winter to 67 mpg. Depending on how you drive it. I.ve been dealing with a dealer in burlington massachusetts where I purchase the vehicle. Im not sure they pay attention to detail as the engine calls for a special motor oil, 0W16, And that was not reflected on the engine oil change receipt. When I approached them with a question about the Motor oil, i was told all the engines are the same, which is not true. Also they recommended a 4wheel alignment which i paid for but had problems down the road. The dealer was very unhappy when they had to Repeat the alignment again, and made sure I knew about it. At this time I am searching for another dealer.

2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer review
This vehicle has one drawback that I am aware of. The back up camera is very poor. The images are not crystal clear. It is like looking at a television screen from the 50s. I had a Blazer 2019 and my screen was great. I cannot understand why my 2023 vehicle has a poor screen. I have contacted General Motors and have gotten nowhere with them. I find this poor visual screen to be a safety issue. Had I known the back up camera and screen were so poor, I would’ve never bought the car as much as I like everything else about it. The visual on the screen is even worse at night.

2024 Mazda CX-30 review
The turbo is remarkable feat of engineering. 227 HP from regular unleaded and torque that leaps right from the get-go, maxing out by 2500 rpm. 29 MPG on a trip with 2 hours of highway and 1.5 of city stop & go. Add 93 Octane and you get 240 HP and change. Very responsive steering and suspension. The Premium Plus will spoil you rotten. THAT SAID ... the gas tank is tragically under-sized. Good luck getting to 300 miles even on a well-behaved week of driving. Though 2 gallons remain when the panic lights up on the dashboard, you won't know how much you've used of it thanks to zero=2 gal on the gauge. Also, at 1 of those is just used to keep the fuel pump cooled. We've wrestled for months now over whether it's even safe to drive around these parts with a measly 275 mile range.

2025 Chevrolet Trax review
I change cars every three years. Mt wife has a 2024 LS and every time i had to drive it i was amazed at what a great car this is. Anyway, i got into an accident and had to replace m car. Having researched just about everything out there when i bought her car i just bought a 2025 Trax Activ. I really love this car. It is really the perfect vehicle. It handles really well, it’s very comfortable, gas consumption is amazing. I only use top tier gas. I had to wait for the dealer to find one without a sun roof. The gps is flawless. I can find nothing about this car that I dislike. I wish it had a trunk release but not a major issue, you really should drive it as you will understand the feel of the operation. As far as the engine, i don’t understand the negative comments. It has ample power. It isn’t a hot rod but i have never had a problem with it feeling underpowered. I do mostly highway driving, set at 69-70 and never any hesitation, oh, the adaptable cruise control is a must have. It takes so much of the stress of highway driving away. I could go on bit i simply say TEST DRIVE ONE. You wil fully appreciate what surrounds you. It’s the only way to understand what GM did.

Watsonville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram review
On 1/27/25 took my 2015 Wrangler in for a check engine light and the code I provided was for a faulty thermostat. My Service Advisor Michael gave me a price quote of just under $800 to replace the thermostat and housing which is after a $220 diagnostic charge. I was told that the part was on back order and would be a month or more before they could get it, "Sorry thats all we can do, we'll call you when it comes in," was their only reply. I took my Jeep to Firestone in Watsonville, they ordered the part from Santa Cruz Dodge and had it installed the next day. Watsonville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram also at the time quoted $270.42 plus labor for a power steering flush that they said "failed." I called the Santa Cruz Dodge dealership and they quoted me $150. I purchased my vehicle from the Watsonville dealership and this is not the first instance of very poor customer service and price gouging in the service department. I have spoken to the service manager before who was responsive at the time but at this point I felt others should be forewarned.
2018 Subaru Crosstrek review
Only gripe is no adjustable visors and side mirrors. I am short and the visors do not adjust in length. The side mirrors swing in and out but not up and down so there is interference for me. I have the seat adjusted to the max and use a cushion but still have a problem.

2025 Volkswagen Taos review
I like the white and black combo. I like that it's not too big and is AWD. Still getting use to the technology. I can start and lock the doors from my phone. It notifies me if I left a window or the sunroof open. Will not go far if the trunk door is not completely shut. This is my 1st suv, I like sitting up higher than in a sedan.

We didn't make the deal. Then I e-mail Santa Cruz VW and told them to send me there best offer. Jonathan Dasig Internet Sales Department sent me a clearly broken down offer that was way better than the other dealership and was in line with my research. 2023 Kia Niro EV review
We had a 2020 Niro EV. So we have had experience with Kia's product. Very nice job on all points for this next generation EV. As it's use is for commuting, we are more than satisfied with the style, controls and comfort for what we use it for. The interior is quite amazing in size compared to its overall dimensions. Our town has its own electric division so the rates are fairly low. Our commute is about 8 miles a day, and I usually charge it when it gets to 50 or so miles left in range. So we use about 200 miles of range, in a months time, and recharge is roughly 7 hours, overnight. The electrician that installed the level 2 charger, figured that at max draw on the charger the cost is $.70 per hour. So for 200 miles about $5. cost. Yes this as the last Niro, hardly puts a bump in the electric bill. So for this usage, it works very well for us. And again this 2nd generation Niro is very nice.

5.0 star rating 7/19/2017 Ok... this is a long story so I will try to keep it compact. I am in Florida, my wife in California with the VW. We are moving to Florida and my wife and son are supposed to drive the car to Florida on a long road trip. My son ends up in the hospital for almost a week with a very fluke but somewhat serious issue. He fortunately gets out and was ok but had to stay in California another week to recover. Now my wife is driving to a friends house in the VW and it breaks down with no power, barely moves. And.. its a Friday night. So now she has to call the VW dealer to have it towed on a Saturday morning to get checked out and she was supposed to start driving the next day. I am in Florida waiting for the movers to show up with the boxes and furniture. So.... they diagnosed the problem to a turbo solenoid and had to order the part and would fix it "maybe" by Tuesday... My stress level was over the top and I called the dealer and YELLED and CURSED at the first manager who would answer my call about the car breaking down at this time. Poor guy! BUT... they got it fixed by MONDAY ! I was completely in the wrong, had to call to apologize. They kept calling me to let me know step by step what was going on and had it all ready to go in time for my wife. And they handled it much better than I did... So THANKS for taking care of this and SORRY for being a not-so-nice customer. Moral of the story: cars and people are not perfect. But this VW dealer will always do their best to help their customers.
2023 Volkswagen Taos review
Our 2022 Taos is almost 2 years old with about 21K mileage. Very satisfied with our car. For the price point (25K) it provides good handling, a comfortable ride and great interior space for a subcompact SUV. The gas mileage is amazing at over 40 MPG on the highway and about 30 MPG tooling around town. Couldn't be happier!

2022 Volkswagen Taos review
I bought the 22 model in Apr of 22 and had it about a year and the ac compressor went out. It took them a couple of months to get one and when they did they found that it had metal shavings all in the lines so they had to replace everything in the circuit. They gave us a loaner car for two weeks and so far it’s been working fine. Have had a couple of software updates so far but no other issues. Have just turned 10,000 miles. The transmission is jerky so I basically drive it around in sport mode to keep it from dropping into the highway gear. Overall we like it

2021 Toyota C-HR review
I bought a Toyota CHR 2021 model 4 years ago. It was a demo with less than 1500 km's. It is reliable, comfortable and sleek. The only thing I dont like with the vehicle are handles at the back, but overall good performance and it is a good buy.

My shopping experience at Capitol Mazda was smooth and stress free. Casey Dawes was very helpful in explaining every detail about the vehicle and the purchase. He was very friendly and patient with the bombardment of questions/concerns I had all throughout the purchasing process. At no time did I feel pressured into purchasing the vehicle. Going through the Costco Auto Program helped in saving a couple hundred dollars, and a quicker than usual purchase. To top it off, there's no markups on the vehicles. I would definitely recommend Capitol Mazda to everyone, and would definitely return at some point in the future for a second purchase.
2026 Mazda CX-30 review
So far the car is great. I do like the design of the CX30 more than the CX5, however, I love the full sunroof on the new CX5. I didn't think I would be able to get that in the CX30 but come to find out I could but I would miss out on the Bose speakers. I went for it and the standard speakers are good enough. They lack base is about it. As far as the shopping experience goes it was the best I ever experienced. I purchased the car from Hamilton Mazda in Hamilton NJ and the salesman was on point. Easy peezy. Mike Rees is the best salesman to date. I wasn't there all day, and he really worked with me. My credit isn't the best and the finance office did what they could to make it happen. Mike Wynne at Capitol Mazda was the 1st of 3 dealerships in the area to call back. The offer had to be good enough to persuade me to make the 3 1/2 hour drive. The internet price at Capitol Mazda was already reduced by $1600 off MSRP. Right off the bat, Mike said that there was an additional internet discount of $1000…so I didn’t have to do any haggling. I did a Google search of my 9-year old trade-in estimated at $7800-8300; Mike offered $1700 more than the higher end of the Google trade-in value. The car inspection showed some previously known repairs needed but he still gave the original trade-in offer. He also gave honest advice about using navigation on my iPhone through Apple Car Play rather than buying the Mazda navigation sim card.
2026 Nissan Kicks review
I just purchased a 2026 Nissan kick in February this year and it has 3,000 miles and it needs the axle replaced already. What happened? I wasn’t in a automobile accident with this car at all.

I originally reached out online looking for a used Kia EV that was showing up on their website. I got an immediate response from Josh and was able to set up a test drive right away. Josh was great during the visit to the office and the test drive, with ABSOLUTELY ZERO pressure, which is one of my pet peeves. We decided to complete the purchase at that time, and other than sort of a long wait to meet with Finance, it was a smooth transition. Amir in Finance made the process fast and easy--electronic signatures really make the process fly along!--and he was very clear with his explanations of what we were signing and why. Also zero pressure on the extended warranty and service contracts. By the time we were done signing the car was ready for us. Overall, a really pleasant experience from top to bottom.

CarMax Capitol Expressway review
This place is amazing! They have so many cars to choose from. Plus they have an exotics lane which is really cool, they have everything from a Benz to a Porsche! The whole buying process is very quick, I bought my car in two hours and drove home. In comparison to the Mercedes of Stevens Creek, which literally took me 8 hours to buy after I picked out my car. The only knock is the service department, which doesn’t do paint repair for scratches, even though they told me that the scratches on my car would be fixed, they only used touch up paint, which looks like I did it myself and not professionally done like I wanted. But it was a used car, so no big deal. Overall I highly recommend!
