2024 Buick Encore GX review
For the money you can't do much better. Quiet, sleek and has lots of options available. Has plenty of room and storage for this class of car. Love the AWD version as I live in a part of the country that gets a fair amount of snow.

2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer review
Certainly enough power and comfort. Very roomy front and comfortable for passengers. The reviews call it sluggish and, it is not that during everyday use. I was shocked how well it drives after reading reviews. I got a great looking white 2024 RS in perfect shape with 9.000 miles on it. Much much better than expected meets ALL of my needs and, expectations.

2017 MINI Countryman review
I've owned this MINI Countryman Cooper S for several years, and it has been one of my favorite vehicles I've ever owned. I had always wanted a MINI, and after owning one, I can honestly say I have no regrets. What surprised me most was how comfortable it is. I've taken multiple long road trips in this vehicle, and unlike some cars I've owned in the past, I never felt stiff or uncomfortable after spending hours behind the wheel. The seats are supportive, and it's a great vehicle for both daily driving and longer journeys. The handling is outstanding. It has that tight, responsive feel that people who enjoy driving BMWs will appreciate. It feels connected to the road, corners confidently, and is simply fun to drive every time you get behind the wheel. I also like that the technology is useful without being overwhelming. It has the features I want, but it still feels like a driver's car rather than a computer on wheels. The panoramic sunroof, premium audio system, and overall interior design make it feel more upscale than its price point would suggest. Most of all, I love the styling. The Countryman stands out from the crowd and has a unique personality that many vehicles lack. Every time I walked up to it, it felt like I was getting into something special. It's practical enough for everyday use, comfortable enough for road trips, and distinctive enough to put a smile on your face. If you're looking for a compact SUV that's fun, comfortable, and different from everything else on the road, the MINI Countryman is worth serious consideration.

2019 Ford EcoSport review
The car is greater than the sum of its parts. I think it was a bit overpriced for what it was when it was released here in America - but as a used car it is great. It is 2026 and I just bought a 2019 2.0 4cyl SES with 25K miles for my 16 year old daughter. It is the cutest thing - like a VW bug of yore. I really like it and find reasons to drive it. I am 6' tall and feel very comfortable in the driver's seat. It is easy to maneuver and I find the car inside and out very simple but elegant and unpretentious. If you need a little more zip merging onto the highway drop it into S mode and it does the job. It is a great car for her to gain driving skills while going to school and volleyball.

2014 MINI Countryman review
The countryman is the perfect compromise for those who want a Mini and still want a workable amount of interior space. The gas mileage is insanely good, it's fun to drive, and you will be running laps past everyone at the stoplights because of how zippy it is. Parking is also never an issue, always lots of space, and easy to maneuver. My only two complaints are that maintenance tends to be expensive (when you factor in the gas savings though, I'd say it pays for itself) and the engine is weak. If you load even just a couple hundred pounds of passengers and cargo into it, it can drive for maybe an hour or so before the engine light kicks on and begs for mercy. I've never had this result in an actual issue that caused a breakdown or required us to pull over, and maintenance confirmed that there are no larger issues with my engine in particular. Turns out that it just limits its own engine power whenever it's struggling. But it is a bit annoying, especially on longer trips.

2024 Buick Encore GX review
My wife and I are very pleased with our 2024 Encore GX purchased used w/ only 2500 mi on the clock. The Encore GX is one of the current Buick lineup of 3 small SUVs for about $25k; I suspect these hidden gems are unknown to many Americans. Unfortunately Buick's focus on China has resulted in the Buick brand being all but forgotten in the US. The NHTSA has given a ***** Overall Safety Rating to the 2024 GX. I have one negative with the Encore -- I'm 6'-1" and the Encore is small for me. Some call the cabin "surprisingly roomy" for a sub-compact suv. Truth be said IT'S JUST SMALL. Likes * 1.2L Turbo engine surprisingly strong in city driving * Entry-level luxury at a moderate price * Fun to drive (some call it boring) * Lots and lots and ... of safety features * Excellent mileage (30+ mpg) for an ICE SUV * Sits up high (as a SUV should!) due to 18" wheels * Quiet cabin due to Buick's QuietTuning technology * Heated seats, steering wheel, outside mirrors * Physical buttons/knobs for radio, climate controls -great * Power hatch/liftgate w/ kick plate - very handy * Traction & Stability control Dislikes * 1.2L Turbo engine is somewhat challenged on the highway * Design same-same as every other small SUV on the road * Digital Speedo and NO Tach; I prefer the real thing * Seats are narrow, hard and uncomfortable on long trips * Road noise is worse than expected for a Buick * Small cargo area w/o rear seat backs down * Insufficient legroom in back seats * Insufficient rear headroom for tall persons * AM/FM/Satellite radio difficult to program * VERY sensitive brakes and accelerator

2021 Jeep Compass review
I had a really nice 2022 Chevy Equinox RS last year, but due to my commute over a mountain pass during winter, I was afraid it was going to get trashed. I decided to trade it in on a 2021 Jeep Compass Limited, believing that it would be a more rugged option. I am so impressed with my little Compass! Its leaps and bounds over the Equinox in my opinion. The Compass is more responsive, more comfortable and definitely more solid. I love how my doors unlock when I reach for the door handle. I love the tight turning radius (I’ve owned two Wranglers), and I absolutely how it handled compact snow and ice on the highway in Montana earlier this spring. I felt extremely safe driving my little Jeep Compass, whereas the Equinox always felt like it was “lightweight “. The only “bells & whistles” the Equinox had that the Compass lacks, is the remote rear door release on the fob and on the driver’s door and maybe the 9-speaker Bose sound. As long as I can listen to my memory stick with 5k+ songs with all 8-speakers working, I’m happy!! The mileage is comparable; the Equinox had a 1.5L 4 Cyl w/turbo and 6-spd transmission; the Compass has a 2.4L 4 cyl w/9-spd transmission, and I like having a little more meat under the hood. The Equinox is considered a mid-size SUV, Jeep Compass is a little smaller and rated as a “compact” SUV, however cargo capacity (cubic inch) is equal. The seats in the Equinox were very short under my behind, only extending halfway between my butt and my knees, if that, so long trips were not super comfortable. The shorter seats did allow for a little roomier cabin, which my husband liked, but since it’s my vehicle… yeah. I absolutely love my Jeep Compass Limited. I really wanted a Trailhawk model, and I might trade up to that version later, unless I can afford another Wrangler or ultimately a Gladiator. Summing it up, I am a Jeep Girl, and while I initially thought the Compass “isn’t really a Jeep”, I have happily been proven wrong. I refer to it as a Baby Jeep that wants to grow up to be a Wrangler Unlimited.

2017 Honda HR-V review
I own a 2017 Honda HRV 1.5 Petrol FW CVT (European model). I’m the first owner and I just reached 220k Kilometers. No issues so far except for a start/stop button replacement and a scheduled suspension replacement (200k). All the services and oil changes were made on time according to the manual. I also started doing the oil/fluid changes (engine & cvt transmission) in less kilometers than the proposed schedule once the car reached 180k kilometers. The European edition 1.5 petrol motor responds well but I believe that a bigger motor would be more suitable for the specific model. I’ve traveled a lot on asphalt, gravel and snow (with a good pair of snow tires) and in temperatures varying between 14 to 113 Fehrenheit.

2016 Buick Encore review
I have not had any problems with my Encore. I drove it to Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Kentucky and Arkansas and have not had any problems with it at all. I have had the standard maintenance on it, Radiator Flush, Oil changes and put a new battery on it in 2022. The battery it came with lasted 6 years, can't complain about that. And I just put a set of tires on it too. I am very happy with this model and would recomend it anyone looking for a GREAT SUV.

2024 Mazda CX-30 review
The turbo is remarkable feat of engineering. 227 HP from regular unleaded and torque that leaps right from the get-go, maxing out by 2500 rpm. 29 MPG on a trip with 2 hours of highway and 1.5 of city stop & go. Add 93 Octane and you get 240 HP and change. Very responsive steering and suspension. The Premium Plus will spoil you rotten. THAT SAID ... the gas tank is tragically under-sized. Good luck getting to 300 miles even on a well-behaved week of driving. Though 2 gallons remain when the panic lights up on the dashboard, you won't know how much you've used of it thanks to zero=2 gal on the gauge. Also, at 1 of those is just used to keep the fuel pump cooled. We've wrestled for months now over whether it's even safe to drive around these parts with a measly 275 mile range.

2023 Audi Q3 review
Very comfortable drive and ride, has all the top shelf features for comfort, technology, safety . Sturdy buttons, interior materials are high class. Can take 89/91 grade gasoline. City drive is 25mpg, highway is upto 32mpg. oil change intervals is 10000mile . Seats in the back recline by adjustment, making it comfortable in long drives. Recently had a 14hour highway drive- was feeling refreshed even at the end of the day. The highway drive at night was not fatiguing to the eyes, likely because the glass quality must be really good compared to other brands. Wish they had a hybrid version to get better mpg or even better, a plug in hybrid version would be welcome for the future. The trunk space is small and can fit only one international size suitcase.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport review
We bought our 2022 Outlander sport GT in august of 2022… when we compared feature for feature with the other small crossovers, this was our favorite.. it looks nice , has plenty of power and is comfortable on long trips . We took it to the snowy range and it handled the mountains with ease. This is our first brand new car and we are “ seasoned citizens “ So the warranty was also a big selling point . Then I decided I wanted to get myself another vehicle, not necessarily a new one but a recent late model, but then the ordeal of deciding what I wanted to get started. Did I want a small car a big car a truck, and SUV and if an SUV which one? Since I am a veteran I use the VA Health Care Center in Providence and I am provided Lyft services to and from the hospital for checkups and what have you. During my car search time I happened to have an appointment at the VA and when I called Lyft services to schedule a ride they sent over a beautiful Honda Pilot which I rode in and was very impressed with, and as luck would have it, when I was through with my appointment and called for another ride, Lyft sent ANOTHER Honda Pilot to take me home and I was very impressed with that vehicle as well. I searched for Honda Pilot vehicles online and came across a beautiful looking 2020 EX model, it was burgundy, loaded with a lot of features, had very low mileage, and was very reasonably priced. It was for sale at Grieco Honda on Hartford avenue in Johnston. As a lot of people , are I was a little hesitant about going into a car dealership having heard stories about various bad experiences some people have had with some. When I went into Grieco Honda I was introduced to a young man named Chris Matarese who was a very pleasant individual. He brought the vehicle around for us to go for a test drive, was extremely polite, very intelligent and exceptionally knowledgeable about the vehicle, answering all of my questions in an instant. After a brief time of asking my "20 questions" about the vehicle and financing I decided to buy the 2020 Honda Pilot. Since the vehicle had just been taken in trade it had not been inspected by the service department as yet, and Chris had the vehicle taken in immediately to have it inspected, the service manager noted that the driver side sun visor was not functioning properly and hung a little bit low having apparently been sprung over time, and it was decided that Grieco would put a new visor in for me which I thought was a very nice gesture. So to end this story, I've had the vehicle now for a little over 2 months and I cannot be happier with it and also with the excellent and outstanding service and courtesy which was extended to me by Chris Matarese, you will find him exceptionally honest, devoutly professional, and eager to earn your business. The services provided by Grieco Honda including sales, financing, and the service department were all excellent in quality, if you're looking for a vehicle go to Grieco Honda on Hartford Avenue in Johnston and ask for Chris you will not be disappointed I can assure you. Love the personality of the reps and they are always eager to help! They don't push you into buying more than your original budget and won't bother you about it! They also will let u browse the lot on you own, and all there cars are unlocked! I absolutely love there transfer program where they will transfer vehicles to your local stores without an obligation, and many transfers are free! Only complaint about Carmax is that I feel the cars are a bit overpriced, but it's worth it in the end for there customer service!
2020 Hyundai VENUE review
Bought this car yesterday and drove home 285 miles against a 25 to 30 mph wind and at 80+ mph (mostly interstate) and got 31 mpg. The trip was non-stop and thoroughly enjoyable. Dealership got my phone set up in Android Auto and my Spotify music sounded WAY better than I had come to expect after reading "professional" reviews of the 6 speaker system. I thought it was more than adequate and the equalization program was good. Seats were more than comfortable, they were also very supportive. I emerged from the car with no TB. I wouldn't have been able to say that with other cars I've owned and some cost much more. Everything about the dashboard layout and Android Auto seemed intuitive. Bought the SEL with comfort and premium package so enjoyed the sun roof, LED lights etc. The ride was controlled, the road noise and wind and engine sound was noticeable at times but at no time was any of it even close to unacceptable or intrusive. I was amazed at how quiet is was in light of a number of paid critics' views that cabin noise is so problematic. Several people commented today that they found the vehicle very attractive and couldn't believe the purchase price. They thought it must have been a much more expensive purchase. I downloaded the Hyundai app and can now read the owner manual on my phone. It also will remotely start the car, score your driving (for your eyes only unless you want them to give it to your insurance company) and perform many more functions including remote locking and provision of vehicle status reports in real time. Your maintenance program reminders and records are also provided. I think this is the most car you can buy for the money. Many safety features are standard on the SEL including lane keeping, blind spot advisories , Auto braking etc. Before you buy a small SUV/Crossover at any price you should do a lot of research. If you do, you will certainly give the Venue a closer inspection. Just because it is very affordable is really no reason to not consider it seriously. BTW, the dealership in Sioux City IA is excellent. You won't believe how beautiful this one is when dressed in Galactic Gray!! Reliability rating is unearned at this point but I am confident that it will be earned.
