Venice Toyota review
Responsive, friendly. Felt a bit like a bait and switch though. Specifications advertised online did not match with the car onsite with that VIN number. Still a great car, service was awesome, but they should look at advertising accurately.
2018 Honda Ridgeline review
It’s everything they advertised. Safety features, ride quality, I especially like my gps. Have not had any complaints about my Ridgeline and I ll buy another.

Jenkins Chevrolet of Venice review
Devin Was our sales Consultant, he was very easy to work with and very understanding of what we were able to do financially as a younger couple and tried to help us stay within Our budget. I know car Buying can be scary for some but Jenkins Chevrolet Has a very friendly group of people who were all down to earth and made our car buying experience very enjoyable. Would also like to mention the sales manager, TJ, who assisted us in the deal and the Gentleman in finance from the garden state, I’m sorry I forget your name. I look forward to doing business with you guys in the future

Honda of SarasotaReviews
Honda of Sarasota review
My wife and I came to Honda of Sarasota to check out a new Honda Pilot SUV. We were helped by Paul DeMiere shortly after we arrived. Paul brought out the Pilot Elite for us and proceeded to explain everything about this model. He described how the doors, seating and storage worked and could be arranged. He then went through a lengthy explanation on all the controls and infotainment system. Very impressive and helpful! Everyone we met or spoke to was very friendly and helpful.
2026 Honda Ridgeline review
Ridgeline Black Edition, the top-of-the-line model, is a great light utility vehicle that also makes a great daily driver. As comfortable to drive as a car. Gets good gas mileage for a truck and has many outstanding safety features, which is why I bought it again after owning two. Next year is going to be a major upgrade. The current model does not have all the features of the Honda Pilot, which has the same engine. Upgraded stereo, heated and cooled seats, and a place to charge your phone without connecting with a cable. Electronics are somewhat confusing because they are layered. Really good view out the front and side. Only black interior. Locked trunk in bed. AC outlet in bed. Quick in acceleration, 0-60 in about six seconds if needed. Steering is somewhat heavy and not exactly as precise as my last model. Overall, this is my third, and I keep coming back because it works for me. AWD can tow 5000 lbs. The black edition comes in three colors: Black, White, and Sonic Gray Pearl, which I bought, and many have commented on. Would I buy again or wait till next year when a hybrid comes out? I needed the safety features now, and the first year of a new edition generally is not that reliable.

Very Good. A nice sales person. Everyone was great The person that did the paperwork was also very knowledgeable. I would recommend these people to anyone looking for a car.
2026 Chevrolet Colorado review
The driving compartment of the truck has plenty of leg, hip, shoulder, and elbow room. There is more than enough head room for my 06'00" frame. The ergonomics of the steering wheel, controls connected to the steering wheel, dashboard controls, controls in the door, and console controls are well engineered and ample enough for a person who wears size XXL gloves. I did not get electric controls for the seats, and wish I had. The manual seat controls leave a little to be desired. The backseat has plenty of leg and shoulder room as well. Operation of the doors is simple; they open and close easily. My 05'03" partner has to really stretch to get into my Trail Boss model. Performance of the truck is superb, with plenty of acceleration to pass when needed. The steering input is as neutral as I have ever experienced with no over- or under-steer. Ride comfort is excellent, front and back seats, with the suspension easily handling standard road bumps. Cornering is much nicer than I really expected from a vehicle of this length and height off the pavement. I don't tow anything, so can't address that aspect. If you're considering a mid-size truck, you would be well served to really examine a Colorado!

Gettel Nissan review
I purchased a used 2023 Tucson from Gettel Nissan. Salesman Valentino Naeder made the purchase easy. The only drawback was the time spent (4hrs) at the dealership to actually drive home. Received a temporary registration plate good for 30 days and was informed that a permanent plate was in the mail. Near the 30 day mark I contacted salesman Pete who quickly had a permanent plate sent within 2 days. Thank You
2022 Chevrolet Colorado review
I have a gas ZR2 in blue, and it is my dream truck. The build quality is so good on these! The doors shut with a solid thud, the intuitiveness of the interior...it was the best truck available in 2022. I got mine before the '23 models and I am so very glad I did. I looked at all available mid-sized trucks, Jeeps, Tacos, Nissan, etc...none felt as solid as the ZR2. Almost two years now, and coming up on 25k. Oil changes and had the tires balanced, did all of the fluids at 5k. You have to allow for Chevy Quirkiness, and you'll love it. The A/C can be weird.

2023 Chevrolet Colorado review
Bought the truck with 3000 miles on it. engine feels strong had no mechanical issues with almost 20,000 miles on it now knock on wood I drive it on 300 mile road trips regularly back and forth to college and with just a few infotainment issues such as Bluetooth not connecting the screen taking over 3 minutes to turn on which are frustrating but not devestating overall for the price this thing should be flawless and not have these basic issues but hasn't left me stranded. (PS don't buy OnStar Wi-Fi it is terrible never works interferes with your service)

2023 Honda Ridgeline review
Great mid-sized truck! Far superior to offerings from Nissan and Toyota - both of which ride like trucks. The Ridgeline rides like an SUV. Quiet, predictable and dependable. The Honda Safety Sensing system is a tad of a nuisance but you get accustomed to ignoring it. Surprised that Honda doesn’t do a better job. Infotainment system is overly complicated. Fuel economy is acceptable. Power is acceptable.

Jaguar Land Rover Sarasota review
Bought a Lexus from Marshall last Friday. After negotiating I got very fair deal. There were some scratches on the vehicle that I wasn't happy with but Marshall had his detailing crew take care of them for me. All in all I had a great experience with Marshall and his team.
2021 GMC Canyon review
I have loved and owned Chevy and GMC midsized trucks since 98 when I purchased a used S-10. My latest purchase is a 2021 GMC Canyon Denali bought brand new. It's been a great truck until my power steering unit went out due to corrosion. It only has 32,200 miles on it and I have never gotten it wet other than car washes and driving in the rain which is normal conditions. I had purchased a mid grade extended warranty through GMC after my lease was up and purchased the truck. I am being told this is NOT covered due to it being external wiring. So I feel this is a manufacturing malfunction and bad engineering for water to be able to get in to cause such corrosion so beware. This is an open case filed with GM currently to hopefully rectify the matter.

I could not believe that I was able to get my deal done for my brand new 2017 Corolla. Shelby Marie Motyka and Cheryl King made it happen and created a buying situation that was all good for me and my wife. I was very very happy as was my wife with how easy and great the process went. Went in with our white Corolla and drove out with our new Barcelona Red Corolla.
2023 Chevrolet Colorado review
Great little truck! Good looking body style, nice wheels, well done interior, plenty of options including adaptive cruise control in Z71 model. Great alternative to full size pickup. Only one problem so far, module for backup camera has failed and is on back order, so it seems other owners have run into the same problem. Overall, great buy!

2025 Jeep Gladiator review
My THIRD Jeep Gladiator. Listen, if you want a light duty truck, look at "light duty" trucks to compare... The Gladiator is the ONLY one that even at base model COMES 4x4, COMES with solid front/rear axles... Comparing the equal classes, it has the best in class towing and payload; bang for the buck, your money is better spent on the Gladiator. If you want amenities, you can of course get them fully tricked out with every feature you could want. All I will say is yes, it rides like a "truck", but my interest is truck first, everything else second. If you want luxurious ride and the feel of sweet comfort, buy one of the others, their truck abilities are SECOND, the Gladiator is a TRUCK first. I have hauled everything with mine; trailers pulling vehicles, lumber, hay... Light duty truck, Gladiator.

Good experience, Richard and Mitch very professional. Would recommend both to friends . Thus far SUV is meeting expectations. Price point was competitive with other brands and models considered.
2024 GMC Canyon review
Our AT4X has been an excellent mid-size truck. The ride is shockingly smooth and the engine has a lot of torque. Wish the interior had less plastic and GM's failure to have a rear view camera mirror or controls for garage/gate contols is inexcusible. Overall, could not be more pleased with this truck.

Jarrett Ford of Charlotte County review
We have a Hot Pepper Red 2024 Ford Maverick XLT we ordered and took delivery of in Kentucky Feb. 2024. We wanted a second white one so we went online and found several available with exactly the options we desired. I responded to numerous dealer websites nearby to confirm what they had online was in fact still available. Jarrett was the most timely and effective communicator. I worked with their sales consultant Todd Rogers. The next day we took delivery of the Maverick. Everything went as presented with no problems or surprises. I have been buying new vehicles from dealerships for 60 years and Todd has been selling cars for over 40 years first in his northern home state and now in his Florida retirement state. I would say that means we have a hundred years of experience in the car selling and buying business between us. In all those years I have developed an ongoing personal friendship with three sales persons. I felt the same initial comfort level working with Todd. In closing everything about the dealership and staff we met was outstanding. We look forward to Jarrett Ford servicing and maintaining both of our Mavericks.

2022 GMC Canyon review
GMC Diesel Canyon AT4. I've had this truck for a year-11,000 miles. I love it. The Denali and Elevation trim looked like junk. The AT4 can't compete with the Tacoma off road but, It holds it's own off road. The Diesel pulls like a beast and the exhuast brake, on all the moutain passes I drive, is worth it's wieght in Gold. I trailer the max. capacity regularly and it's smooth sailing. I traded in my 2500HD Silverado with the vortec 6.0 for this big, little truck. Best decision I've made in a while. I had this truck on order for 8 months and Gm never accepted the order. I finally found exactly what I ordered, just off the truck that morning that I called. 1300 miles away, I jumped on a plane to go get it. Crying shame GMC discontinued the diesel. The extra $ per gallon right now is easily washed by the increase in mileage, 32+ higway, 19 trallering almost 8000 #'s. I wouldn't want the truck without it. Wouldn't want the Elevation or Denali. Diesel AT4 is the truck. I'll keep it the rest of my life barring accident. I'm sure I can get 40 years out of this truck doing 10-12k a year. The regeneration of the exhaust has never come up but, I only do a little round town driving. Most of my miles are highway and hauling a load. I've heard horror stories about regen. from city folk, commuters... You get what you aim for. If you've given it a lot of thought and the diesel AT4 seems right for you, you won't be disappointed. Good luck finding one. GM - You've a winner here. don't let it get away. Ps. Cars.com doesn't have a choice of how I use this truck for WORK. And wouldn't let me submit this review without selecting one of thier 3 inadequate choices. So, I selected having fun cause I believe everything should be but, this is my WORK TRUCK!

Venice Honda review
Went in today for a check up on my battery , which was purchased in 2019 from this service center. Check was performed and as I suspected it was not performing up to par. Was replaced and used what was left of the warranty , also let me know my cabin filter was dirty and has not been changed for 2 years. As I have all my serviced performed here at the Venice Honda Dealer, ever since I purchase it there , they keep records of service performed and I feel I can trust the mechanics. As for me they are Great .

Sarasota Ford review
I had an absolutely outstanding experience purchasing my car from Matthew at Sarasota Ford. From the moment I arrived, I felt heard and understood. Matthew Smith was refreshingly honest and straightforward; he told me exactly what I needed to know, always with my best interests in mind. In a world full of increasingly shady and malicious dealerships, it was so refreshing to experience Sarasota Ford’s no-nonsense, honest, and straightforward business approach. After selecting the car, the finance department was equally exceptional—attentive, warm, and guiding me step by step, ensuring transparency so I could make the best decision for my financial future. I can tell that the owner truly cares about his customer base, and Matthew was so caring that, when I pointed out a small smudge in the fabric, he took it back to the detailing section and personally ensured the stain was removed. The entire ecosystem of Sarasota Ford is a five-star dealership. No wonder, at the time I was there, I saw so many cars outside already sold. It’s clear this is a high-volume dealership, and yet, every customer still gets personalized care.if you’re looking for a team that truly cares, Matthew and everyone at Sarasota Ford are absolutely top-notch.
2026 Ford Ranger review
I purchase a 2019 Ranger and then a 2024 Ranger. Zero issues with problems and the comfort, power, and reliability are all top notch. The 10-speed transmission has been a dream with the turbo. My wife has a King Ranch F-150 but usually takes the Ranger because of the ease of driving in town. 24 to 28 MPG based on computer.

The experience started off poorly, truck was not what the website claimed. Equipment on truck was not accurate and front hood paint damage. The manager found me a better solution near the price I was offered. Financed through the dealer and they got me a good rate. Long day after a very long drive from Tampa Fl, but the Matthews Curry team made it Right.
2026 Ford Ranger review
I bought a Ranger Raptor. Incredible pickup, handles more like a tall sport car than a truck. Very comfortable to drive with multiple steering option, shock setting and exhaust note. Fun to drive around town and on super highways. Increasable value for all the options you get.

2018 Chevrolet Colorado review
The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Off-Road is one of the most well-rounded midsize trucks on the road. The V6 engine delivers strong, smooth, and linear acceleration with plenty of power on demand—whether merging on the highway, towing, or navigating rough terrain. It feels confident and responsive without being harsh or overworked. This truck is loaded with features that make it just as comfortable as it is capable. The black leather interior is well-appointed and durable, while the Bose premium sound system provides excellent clarity and punch—far better than standard factory audio. Apple CarPlay integration is seamless, making navigation, music, and hands-free calling effortless. The Z71 Off-Road package adds real-world functionality, not just badging. With its upgraded suspension, off-road tuning, and rugged stance, the Colorado handles snow, gravel, and uneven roads with ease while still driving smoothly and quietly on pavement. Overall, the 2018 Colorado Z71 strikes an ideal balance between performance, comfort, and versatility. It’s a truck that feels equally at home as a daily driver, workhorse, or weekend adventure vehicle—and it does all of it with style and confidence.

2026 Chevrolet Colorado review
I'm exceptionally glad I chose the 2026 Chevy Colorado. I was transitioning from a Jeep Cherokee SUV, and this feels similar to an SUV but has all the benefits of the truck size and power.
About trucks
Which truck has the best MPG?
The Ford Maverick has the best MPG among traditional internal combustion trucks and offers up to 42 MPG city and 33 MPG highway for a combined rating of 37 MPG. The Ford Maverick has the best MPG amongst trucks with hybrid powertrains, reaching 42 MPG city and 35 MPG highway for a combined rating of 38 MPG.
These figures are based on EPA mileage ratings and are for comparison purposes only. The actual mileage will vary depending on the selected vehicle model year, trim, driving conditions, driving habits, vehicle maintenance, and other factors.
Which truck has the longest range?
The Chevrolet Silverado EV has the longest range among trucks and can travel up to 492 miles on a single charge depending on electric motor and battery options.
EPA-estimated range is the distance, or predicted distance, a new plug-in vehicle will travel on electric power before its battery charge is exhausted. Actual range will vary depending on model year, driving conditions, driving habits, elevation changes, weather, accessory usage (lights, climate control), vehicle condition and other factors.
