On September 18, 2023, I purchased a new 2024 Volvo and am happy that I chose to do business with Patrick Volvo in Schaumburg, Illinois. Shortly after my arrival at Patrick, I was very lucky that I was courteously approached by Belen Amador, my Client Advisor. Because she was not pushy (I appreciated that very much), I chose to accept Belen’s assistance throughout the buying process. I was pleased that I had a seamless transaction because of Belen Amador’s expertise and exemplary customer service. She was knowledgeable, helpful and thorough before, during and after the sale. Patrick Volvo is fortunate to have Belen on their staff because she is an excellent representative for their dealership. There is no question that when I need another Volvo, I will most definitely contact Belen. It was my pleasure that I had the opportunity to do business with her. I have driven Volvos for a very long time. My 2002 V70XC was my absolute favorite. I just donated it. My first impression was the dealer and I went with one closest to my home. My big mistake. THE CAR - for an SUV the seats sit very low and are not very adjustable. The gear shift functionality is very difficult to get used to - and all the alarms. Being a mechanical engineer, I liked, no, loved the older Volvos for their functionality and interior space. The XC60 has very little cargo space. There are too many bells and whistles you need to QR scan the visor for the manual! The mpg are pitiful - I am getting maybe 15 mpg, with little pick up- the 4 liter engine is not as good as the predecessors. I was worried about the no "cold weather package" - all volvos anywhere have the same battery and the sales guy had no idea what cold cranking meant. HOWEVER, I must say when we had an ice storm and the car was a solid piece of ice the doors opened and the car started right up. BUT it did take 30 minutes + to warm up the windshield to get rid of the ice. AND my hands were so cold trying to scrape the ice off - they were too cold for the display to read my touch! The sales rep was so proud of the heated windshield wipers (?) -I prefer being able to raise the wipers during a snow storm. Here you have to put the wipers in maintenance mode and then move them out. Too many steps to get basics done (and have warm hands). I also can't stand the smudged touch screen from all the swiping and touching. Just looks dirty. BTW don't buy accessories from the dealer. I wanted rails for the top and they were asking $800 list but I could get them for $500. You can buy them from amazon or Volvo direct for $200. It's a Volvo and I have high expectations. I think it is an expensive car and I have not owned it long enough to determine value.

8 years later we still love this vehicle. We plan on driving it until it goes to the junk heap. The dealership in Edmonton is excellent and this is an SUV made for cold Alberta winters. Volvo makes a great realiable car.

This car has blown me away. It has all the bells and whistles I wanted and drive like butter! The color is perfect and the rims are bomb! The interior is clean, and very well taken care of.

Very happy with the XC90. Finding more reasons to like it every time I drive it. Car feels solid and safe. Stepping on the gas gives it a fast start off the line. Purchases it pre-owned,brakes chattered a little. So soon after had both brakes done, now it stopes beautifully, no noise, no vereing, no problems. My last vehicle was a Honda CRV. The hood is bigger and took some getting used to. I was not crazy about spending 81 dollars to fill up and top off the tank. But I am still on the first tank(little less than 1/2 a tank left) I never thought I would ever be able to afford or drive a Volvo in my life time,but I am! Living the dream!

Love our gently used 2015 Volvo XC60 T6 Turbo wagon. 130k miles on it and we have only had to replace the alternator and battery. Does not burn oil, does not leak oil. Has been a very reliable car. If you do the maintenance and change the oil every 5 thousand miles it will last a long time. Regular oil changes are very important as with any car. Most people don’t do this. The 6 cylinder is one the best engines they have made. Timing chain will last a long time as long as you put new clean oil in the engine every 5k miles. No transmission problems and no differential problems for us. No one likes to spend $2,000 for the 90k service but it’s a big one. Important preventative maintenance will take this car to 200,000 miles. Read the owners manual and follow the service schedule.

I enjoyed working with Brian. He was prompt with follow-through. He was thorough and honest. I found an older Audi roadster somewhere else at a better price. I didn't use financing; i just paid cash. I am keeping my eye on the Audi roadster at CIT. Would go back to CIT.

Poised is the best word for it. Handles great in comparison to my older XC90 I had, has great power for an SUV. In comparison to things like the crosstrek with 180hp, the VW Atlas with 180hp, this little guy has over 270hp. Drives great, amazing safety features, I just really enjoy my car. Had it almost 3 months now and I still love really enjoy driving it everywhere.

Great awesome cars in every aspect, comfort, performance, handling, smoothness, features, reliability (not in some models though) and especially safety. You get the best bang for your buck in Volvos. Only thing I would say is to stay away from the XC90 T6 (petrol engines) from 2015 - 2016. (Not sure if 2017 has these problems, as I havnt experienced anything from the 2017 models) I sell many of these Volvos But the petrol XC90s T6 from 2015 - 2016 are very unreliable because of being the first year of these models when they first came out. Had many experiences with failing superchargers ($4k to fix ) evaporator failing ($5k to fix) and also these engines have a known fault that the pistons don’t inbed in properly in some of the engines and it burns massive amount of oil. (Did a test in a customers car, was burning about 2L of oil every 1000km) Also comes with a few hiccups here and there with coolant leaks, and oil leaks etc. I’ve never had a problem with the XC90 D5 (diesel engines) as they seems much better because they don’t have the engines failing or a supercharger in these models. This have the failing evaporator but this item was the least part failing out of everything I mentioned. I hope this information has helped out some people who are deciding to purchase a Volvo 😊

I really enjoy this dealership and my service agent - Alex. I have taken my Volvo to two previous dealerships for service that should be covered by Volvo's warranty (Santa Monica and Pasadena) and both times have come away disappointed. South Bay Volvo serviced my V90 no questions asked.

I LOVE this car. Love it. The pickup is amazing and the car is extremely comfortable. Bonus points for a great stereo system! It’s my favorite car I’ve ever owned (I’m 54). Five +++ stars!

It was great. He went out of his way to help me. The only thing I didn’t like was the rebate not coming back to me personally. 🤷‍♀️ love and learn. I’m happy with the car and the experience. But I’m going to a dealer to get car operating lessons. Overall he was a happy guy friendly, family sort of atmosphere.

Worth every penny! Purchased it a few months ago, and I absolutely love it, great gas mileage and very quick for its size, very underrated!!!

This is my fifth Volvo. My most important feature in any car is safety, and this car is SAFE. It is super comfortable, reliable, attractive, and an all around great car. I had XC70's until this XC90. It was tough to switch, but I'm so happy. My only disappointment is that I have two big dogs and they can't both fit in the way back comfortably, so I have a crate in the way back and a crate in the middle with two seats folded down (one up for a passenger). Otherwise, it's a "10." No issues at all at 4 years in.

Very comfortable and safe. Drives great, is clean and in excellent condition. High end luxury vehicle with a sleek design! Would highly recommend a Volvo for everyone! Great family car!

These guys were the most helpful and the best car dealership experience i've had. I want to wait a bit before i posted my review to make sure the car they sold me was sound. The condition was almost perfect and now after driving for a month with no issues whatsoever i can say that i have a used car that is practically new. They maintain their cars wonderfully and only buy quality and it shows. Thank you again for getting me a really good deal on a really great vehicle!

The only reason we traded in our old XC90 is because we wanted a smaller vehicle. Love the Volvo and will probably always own one.

Volvo is known for safety and this one delivers with all the latest safety features. But it also adds performance with a combination of supercharging for power off the line, with turbocharging to add power in mid range. Together they deliver performance similar to a V8 with a lot better mpg. The interior is very modern and tasteful. Seats very comfortable. We opted for the air suspension system which really makes a difference in our area with rough roads. I'd recommend it to anyone. Also added the high performance sound system from Bowers and Wilkins. I did not think I wanted to pay up for it, but once I heard it I couldn't pass it up. Many great tech features like Pilot Assist (auto drive), cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, auto park, etc. Recommend the T6 level powertrain, the Air Suspension, and if you can swing it, the Bowers and Wilkins sound system.

I have owned the 2018 XC60 T8 Inscription for 3 years now. The vehicle was brand new and now has over 110k miles on it. Here is the breakdown of my rating: Performance - The T8 has incredible acceleration and handling, but the braking is a bit touchy. Easy to get used to, but easy to trigger some of the active safety features the first time you hit the brakes. Not a quick as a Tesla, but a 5.3s 0-60mph is impressive in a 4-cyl SUV. Styling - I absolutely love the sleek, minimalist styling Volvo is known for, and the XC60 fits that to a T. Clean lines, and incredibly comfortable. But they can keep the crystal shifter… Reliability - I have had -0- mechanical or performance issues, and only had to replace wear items. I docked it one star because of a glitch in the infotainment system that decided to max out the gain on the microphone right next to a speaker and send a shrill 90dB screech into the cabin… once the software was flashed the problem went away - only happened once and was a free repair (well out of warranty). I am definitely going to be a Volvo owner for life and am looking forward to taking advantage of the overseas delivery program with my next Volvo purchase.

We managed to come to an agreement and purchased the car we wanted. There was not much negotiation, but the car was well priced to begin with. We agreed to pay $500 additional in order to drive the car away and have our mechanic inspect it. We got a week to report any issues and could return the car for a full refund if not satisfied by any necessary repairs. Ultimately the car checked out and the only problem was a piece of windshield trim that flew off on the way home. We negotiated a $200 refund and got the repair done by our mechanic so we didn’t have to drive the car back to the dealer. So far, so good.

T6 106k miles, replaced Brake pads, spark plugs, and one to engine mount. Everything works! Amazing auto pilot up to 80mph lifetime avg 21.3 MPG mixed driving, regular gas! Quiet, blast T6, super comfortable seats, active safety! I cant think of anything better. Stay away from T5

They helped me with getting my first car. On top of that they gave me extra seat leather and finishes for the windows all for free.

This car exceeds all of our needs. Very comfortable and has a ton of room. Gets decent gas mileage. We love all the many safety features it has and all the extras it has to make driving easy.
