What Is the 2020 Lexus LC?
The 2020 Lexus LC is a four-seat luxury coupe. The dramatically styled two-door is available as the LC 500 with a 471-horsepower, 5.0-liter V-8 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission or the LC 500h with a 354-hp hybrid powertrain. Both versions are rear-wheel drive.Â
Competitors include the BMW M850i, Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and Jaguar F-Type. A new convertible version of the LC 500 debuts as a 2021 model.
What’s New on the 2020 Lexus LC?
Blind spot warning is now standard. A limited-edition Inspiration Series of the LC 500 features unique exterior and interior cues; only 100 will be produced.Â
What Features in the 2020 Lexus LC Are Most Important?
As a flagship coupe for Lexus, the LC is a showcase for the brand and includes many standard features like 20-inch wheels, an active exhaust system, navigation with a 10.3-inch screen, Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. Options include semi-aniline leather upholstery, an Alcantara simulated-suede headliner, a head-up display and a Mark Levinson surround-sound system.
Should I Buy the 2020 Lexus LC?
The Lexus LC combines knockout styling, top-notch luxury appointments and engaging driving dynamics. It skews to the luxury end of the spectrum rather than offering a pure sports car experience. The LC 500h hybrid is less enjoyable to drive and costs more. If ultimate performance — or a usable backseat — is important, then you’ll need to shop around.Â
