I’ve been a BMW driver for about 3 years now and have been to numerous BMW dealerships. In my experience, all BMW dealerships hold themselves to the highest standards, but somehow Sterling has set themselves far apart from their counterparts.
Whether it’s walking into service or the showroom everyone recognizes me and remembers my name from previous engagements. It makes me feel very welcome and part of a family of BMW aficionados. Everyone is super friendly and is genuinely interested in what you have to say, whether it’s just small talk or business.
I’ve been going to Sterling for about 1 year now and I don’t think any dealership can compare in quality, customer service, and professionalism.
I would like to specifically mention:
Robert Graves, for his exceptional professionalism, knowledge, and salesmanship to get me into my brand new BMW M4, the ultimate driving machine.
Beaver Ho, for setting THE standard for all service providers with his professionalism and personal interest in ensuring I get the best quality and care.
Ash Soroushi, for making the finance process a breeze with how professional and knowledgeable he was. Extremely easy to understand every detail of the contract.

I came to the dealership not even in the market for a car. Our car was in for service and we had a rental for a week, which I naturally fell in love with. I decided I loved it so much that I"d check out some of the other models and when I did so, Colin Unterkofler introduced me to the car I ended up buying. I not only love my new car, but I ad such an amazing experience working with Colin while purchasing it - he's friendly, down to earth, easy to chat with, and really cares about what your concerns and needs are when it comes to your vehicle so that you are sure to walk away with what you need. I never felt pressured into choosing a vehicle, and felt comfortable that I had seen all my options before making my decision. I walked away thrilled with my choice in both my vehicle and my salesman! I couldn't recommend either any more.
Purchased a 2013 BMW in late November from AP Fairfax as an early Xmas gift for the wife. We visited 5 other dealerships prior to our purchase and we are pleased with the purchase as well as the purchase experience. Up to this point, the wife is happy with the vehicle.
However, our customer service experience after the purchase has been disappointing to say the least. 95% of the time when calling our original POCs to discuss issues that require resolution on behalf of the dealership they are "in a meeting" or "not in at the moment" and do not return calls until a few days later. Two cases in point:
1. The vehicle was missing a hard copy of the owner's manual and the dealership provided paperwork acknowledging I was owed an owner's manual. When I checked on the status of the manual a couple of weeks later, was advised they are not responsible to provide such an item...Until I provided them the paperwork that showed they owed such a manual. I was advised the manual was available of pick up this week (39 days after purchase).
2. I was advised the license plates for the car were ready for pick-up (week prior to Xmas). Wife drove to the dealership to pick up the plates and somehow the plates were misplaced. I continued asking for a status on the plates after Xmas and New Year's only to get in a perpetual loop of "it’s the holiday season and folks who work on that are in and out...will get back to you." Finally, was advised on 03 Jan that no one knows where the plates are located and they are missing (isn't there a person that oversees license plate chain of custody or tracking?). The dealership representative advised I needed to go to DMV (yes you read that right…I have to go to the DMV) to request replacement plates as they are unable to do so on my behalf. I asked if the dealership plans to re-reimburse me a portion of the titles/tags fee that I paid when I purchased the vehicle since it did not fill its obligation to provide me plates. I was advised I would not be reimbursed any portion of the fee. As such, I asked to speak to a manger and was advised "he is not in" (surprise!) and I would be called back...No calls have been received. As such, I now need to take a day off of work ($$ out of my pocket) to go stand in line at the DMV (always an awesomely joyful and refreshing experience) as a result of AP Fairfax's lack of sufficient customer service.
I am hopeful my situation is the exception vice the rule; there are some really nice folks that work at AP Fairfax and the cars they sell are impressive. However, my customer service experience after purchase has been unexpectantly disappointing to say the least.
Maria provided excellent customer service! She demonstrated and extraordinary ability to understand my needs without being ever making me feel pressured. She is very knowledgeable and extremely quick! She was extremely patient and helpful, and despite having to stay past showroom hours, made sure that the car was in perfect condition before I left. It was a pleasure working with Maria, I highly recommend her!
I bought a Lexus ES350 from this dealer. Mathew promptly responded to my email. Then I had a very good experience dealing with AJ during the deal and after sale. They all are very professional and friendly. Smooth transactions. I am sure I will be returning to them for future cars.
I went in to look at a car that was at this Alexandria location. Right from the beginning Habib Mehdi gave me a warm welcome and took great care of me. Habib was very knowledgeable about his cars and helped me feel very comfortable with the car. After assuring i was ready to move forward he handed me over to Hash Abbasi, Also another team member of this Alexandria location. Both these guys really took the time to make sure I was ready to go. I will always recommend this location to my friends and family. Awesome job guys, thanks for your help as always!
I had a great experience at BMW of Alexandria; i was referred by another prior customer to Osman Aberra after totaling my car - right after getting out of the hospital. I didn't even know i wanted a BMW but the customer serviceattention to my need and concern was stellar. They were mindful of my wallet, and helped ensure i wasnt making an impulsive purchase--but took the time to educate me on the merits of the cars without rushing me or making me feel pushed. Several emails, even more text messages and 2 test drives later....i took my new X2 home. Everyone there was awesome-polite, helpful, courteous and professional
Two weeks ago I¿ went to buy a car and I¿ met a nice gentleman and saw 2 cars I¿ was interested and went road test both of them. Choose one I¿ like and made a deal that day with my trade in which I¿ thought I¿ I¿ got fair deal and bought my self a dream car A Maserati. They prepared it for me without any hassle and did the paperwork and pick it up. They treated me with respect and felt very comfortable. Drive it now very happy with it so far.
I bought my BMW from Perfect Auto work with James the finance manager he is very honest and respect full got me the best and lowest rate he sold me a very clean and beautiful car all the sales people in this dealer were very knowledgeable about the cars very nice and clean dealership there was no pressure at all. I refer this dealer to all my friend and family and I will buy my next car from here. Good luck guys and thank you soo much helping me buy my dream car.....
