This is me second sale to Carmax. The first sale went smoothly and everything they said was true! People who turn their car into the dealer are totally getting screwed. For example I turned in a 2020 c300 early this year. The payoff was $32k; I got $36k from Carmax. Unbelievable. However, companies like Mercedes allowed Carmax to pay off the lease. Now they require you to buy out the lease so you have to come up with the cash and then you have to wait until you get the title before you can go to Carmax. Sounds like a little anti trust behavior.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD review
Purchased a 2019 Silverado RST Double Cab, & was immediately impressed with the power in quickness of the 5.3. Had one issue with torque converter which dealer replaced for free due to purchasing the extended warranty. I kinda wish the leather seat had and arm rest, but other than that for the past 9-months it has been the most comfortable and quickest truck I have ever owned. And I have owned quite a few since 1978. Very fine truck the Silverado RST. But always watch your speedometer. You can be driving down the road thinking you’re doing the speed limit and you’re actually running 15 20 mph faster. The only reason I knew I was going too fast was I was passing cars more than usual. You just don’t realize how fast you’re going due to the power and the smooth ride in these Silverado RST’s. I’ve owned a lot of trucks and I would highly recommend this truck for anybody looking for one.

I’m not typically one to write reviews, but my experience with CarMax has been so outstanding that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, they’ve redefined my expectations for buying a vehicle. I found a car online that checked every box for me—low miles, all the specs I wanted, and fantastic photos that gave me confidence in its condition. The only catch? It was located at a CarMax dealership in Florida, while I’m in Nashville. For just $200, they shipped it to my local CarMax dealership. Knowing the worst-case scenario was losing that $200, I felt reassured to take the leap—and I’m so glad I did. Within just a few days, the car arrived. I had a trade-in—a mid-mileage VW Atlas in good condition—and to my surprise, CarMax offered me an amazing price. I’ve done my research, and they gave me a value that was very close to what I’d seen comparable models selling for, and significantly more than I owed. Needless to say, I accepted their offer with ease. As for my new (used) car, I was impressed by the comprehensive warranty options. The extended warranty they offer feels like an insurance policy: $200 deductible for coverage up to 150,000 miles. With my car’s mileage at around 50,000, this was a no-brainer. I’ve seen glowing reviews about the warranty online, and after my own experience, I can see why. Now here’s the part that truly sets CarMax apart—the post-purchase experience. The vehicle is used, so it’s impossible to catch every little thing during a quick test drive. Thankfully, CarMax provides a 90-day warranty and has a full-service garage. I’ve been back a few times for small fixes, like the gas door not working properly, tire monitor sensors, an alignment issue, and even replacing a rear entertainment system screen. Every single issue was handled promptly and professionally, leaving me with a car that feels brand new. Shoutout to Elvis in the service department! Not only did he remember my name when I returned, but he also ensured I had a free loaner car anytime my vehicle needed to stay overnight. The customer service I’ve received from him and the entire CarMax team has been nothing short of exceptional. This entire process has been so seamless that I can confidently say CarMax will be my first stop the next time I’m in the market for a car. I’ve purchased brand-new vehicles before and never felt this satisfied. CarMax has raised the bar for what car buying and ownership should feel like. If you’re on the fence about where to purchase your next vehicle, I can’t recommend CarMax enough. From great trade-in offers to their stellar warranty program and impeccable customer service, they’ve won me over as a fan for life. Here’s hoping they stay around for a long, long time—because this is how car buying should be done.
2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD review
My first car was a 2005 chevy silverado and sold it at 120k while still running perfectly and since then I’ve owned several different cars including a ram power wagon and a jeep and have experienced nightmares fixing them. These trucks with the 5.3L engines are as reliable as they get and are definitely powerful enough to get moving quick. After owning a 2019 chevy silverado 1500 LD 2LT for a short while, my only complaint is that the arm rest on the left of the driver is too low so you’re kinda forced to drive with your left hand more often but other than that I love the truck!

I was in the market for a new car for over a year now. It is nerve wrecking and overwhelming. Decide to buy a new or used. I researched, test drive, and contacted over 20 dealers for information. Until I finally found the perfect car for me at the perfect price, while on the CarMax website in Norcross, GA. A 2023 Nissan Pathfinder SV 4WD with 16,500 miles. Practically brand new and at least under $2,000 and the lowest miles from similar vehicles in my area. One great thing about CarMax is that I was able to scheduled the test drive 7 days in advance. They reserved the car for me, no worries about being sold before my test drive. Another great thing about CarMax is the price advertised is the price you pay. Other than tax, title and registration, no other “bogus” fees are added to the price. I only wish they offered special incentives/discounts like military, first responders, student, etc. But, I am extremely happy with my purchase!!! Shout out to salesman Young!!! He is the first person I spoke to; he got the car for my test drive, and in less than 1-2hrs I was on my way home with a new car!!! In other words, DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!

I drove 2 hours to go take a look at what I felt like was my dream mommy mobile. Turns out, in fact the vehicle I looked at was. Shelby Sides was my sales representative and she was amazing to work with. She impressed me right from the start by having the vehicle parked under the shelter waiting for me to arrive because it was forecasted to rain most of the day. That was a personable touch I felt really hit the mark in terms of customer service. She was knowledgeable about the vehicle; if I asked a question she didn’t know the answer to with confidence, she went and got the answer for me. She gave my mom and I free reign over test driving and looking the car over without any pressure, and the few minor things we did find she put her nose to the grindstone and addressed all of our concerns. Every single person we interacted with from Shelby on the sales floor to Nathan the sales manager, and yes even to Ashley the finance manager were all top notch, professional, and friendly. They all really made my mom and I feel like we were part of their family. They gave us a very good price on the new vehicle and made sure we were well taken care of, they even included a full tank of gas for my ride home, which is something most dealers just don’t do anymore. I felt respected the entire time I was there and walked away as a very satisfied customer. I would 100% recommend them to anybody who is in the market for a new or new-to-them car. They were the only dealer in NC who had the exact make, model, trim level, color scheme, and satisfactory mileage I was looking for. It ended up being a truly perfect buying experience! Excellent in every category. Rides nice. A little firm but not rough. Way lot of power. Looks like a Classic. Roomy, double cab. Like the 40-20-40 front seat configuration. 6 1/2 ft bed is better than short bed.
