2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 review
Was trying to chose between Chevrolet and Ram. To get the options I wanted I would have to shop the Laramie trim package. Chevrolet offers the LT trim level that allows you to load it up with the options I needed and at a lower price than the Ram. Chevy beats Ram on tow capacity, bed legnth, flex tailgate, and camera system is better. The new 10 speed transmission delivers great mpg. In my first long distance trip I averaged 19.5 mpg Better than my old Ram 1500.

Walked into Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny,Iowa. I said that I would like to test drive a few cars. I had been looking for a while, testing different models. I met Jayden, he was very nice, easy to talk to and informative. Not at all pushy and seemed interested in what I was looking for. This is the first car that I have ever bought on my own, my husband was the car guy. I'm in my 70's and it was a big step for me, a bit overwhelming. Jayden made it very easy, test driving was stress free and he asked questions that helped me know more what I was looking for. I drove several and then we saw THE one. It was just that easy. So I talked to the next person. signed the papers and came back to the dealership on Monday and bought my car! Hayden was so good at what he does, he was there, a familiar face and I felt nothing but happy about the choice that I had made! Next, my past car was a 2018, so how does this one work? Carsyn helped me with that. He had a big job, I am not the best at technology. So there was a lot to learn, fortunately Some things were similar to my old car. Carsyn made getting comfortable with the new features on my new car manageable. Instead of feeling overwhelmed and frustrated we laughed and just chatted our way through the time we spent together. He had a big job, and so far I haven't had to call him with more questions! Both Jayden and Carsyn gave me their numbers and I do believe that they will help me if needed. I meant a lot to me to know that I have their support. I originally looked at Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny partially because my husband and I had bought our 2018 Treverse there and I have always had it serviced in their service department, I trust them. When shopping around for a new car I looked many places. Somehow after meeting Jayden that day that I walked in for a test drive I knew I was at the right place. Lots of words about a great experience, but the best part for me is that I actually did it and I have no regrets. I love my new car! I'm thankful for the help and kindness of two young men. My plan is to stick with Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny! It's a drive for me, well worth it.

After moving from Newton to the DesMoines area I had to find a more convenient dealership then Gregg Young in Newton. That dealership is Shottenkirk of Waukee. The last service I had done was with my grandsons truck. He had had the oil changed at Bob Browns in Urbandale. Yesterday it was warm and dry enough he was going to change it himself. Something he has done in the past. He couldn?t get the top off of the oil filter canister. It?s a 3016 GMC Canyon with the V-6. Called me for help. The top of the cap , you put a socket on it and turn the cap off , had twisted off and now broken the cap. I tried several times. Finally called Shottenkirk for help and told to bring it right in. They spent several hours and finally found the tool that would remove the top from the canister. Thinking at Bob Brown dealership that the tech in their service lane had torqued the top down.
