2022 Ford Explorer review
I purchased the 2022 Timberline preowned about 1 month ago with appx 50k miles on it. I was disappointed that it does not have memory seats or a garage door remote button. (I didn't even notice this when test driving it). Who makes a car today with all the tech this car has and leaves off these 2 things! The interior is comfortable & well laid out. The ride is smooth & quiet. 2.3L turbo 4 cylinder is quiet & has amazing power. At idle it’s hard to tell that the engine is even running. The prior owner put on Michelin tires which contribute to the smooth, quiet ride. The seats are ActiveX (Ford’s name for vinyl) with cloth inserts. I’m 5’ 10” and 175lbs. My son who rode with me is 6’ 3” and 250lbs. Both of us found the seats comfortable & supportive on our 1st road trip. I’ve driven a Kia Telluride, which is a direct competitor. The Kia has a little more tech but I found the ride to be on the harsh side, especially in the second row. This may be attributable to the low profile 21” tires. The Timberline has 18” balloon tires which I much prefer. 2 weeks after purchasing it I made a 2,200-mile road trip from Dallas TX to Orgon. Fuel mileage ranged from 21 to 28 with an overall average of 24 mpg. *if I don’t drive over 70 mph on the highway the fuel economy goes up to about 32! *these numbers are from the actual miles & gallons of fuel used, not from the dash numbers, which I found are a little optimistic. It has a few bugs that I’ll have to deal with, but it’s a used Ford & not a Lexus. Overall, I'd say I'm very happy with this car & would recommend it.

We were greeted right away by another sales person and directed to our salesman without any typical dealer shenanigans. Prior to our arrival we had requested to have the vehicle on a lift for me to inspect as I have 30 years of dealership service department experience myself. They obliged without hesitation allowing me to spend 20 minutes under the vehicle to do a thorough inspection. We sat with our salesman directly afterwards and as expected haggled a bit over pricing. After 15 minutes we came to an agreement and signed a deal. These people are extraordinarily professional. Absolutely zero games as I’ve seen personally over 3 decades. 2022 Ford Explorer review
I love this vehicle. My 2022 Ford Explorer XLT far exceeds my expectations. Handling is great. Performance is far better than expected. Gas mileage is 26mpg combined average for the 16,500 miles I have on the vehicle so far. The interior fit and finish could be better and the original tires...not holding up very well. The vehicle is comfortable and always a pleasure to drive. I always get compliments on the exterior style. In my opinion, it's one of the better looking SUV's on the road. The rear biased drive train give it superior handling, better than anything I test drove. Chevy, Subaru, or the Kia.

We have a Ford Fusion since 2017 and it has been fantastic vehicle for us. In past week we had repair done on fixing the electronic security system, connected to the edge of driver door that was not operating correctly. Josh helped me with identifying the issue and also Jack. Veterans Ford did their analysis and tests to get to the root cause with their specialized technicians in the electronics area. We were very concerned as this issue is very critical for us to function correctly. I am so happy that the Ford team at Veterans got it fixed and all is running perfectly again. Because the issue was intermittent it made the challenge even more difficult - so my thanks goes to the whole team who made this repair a success. The team there takes the time to listen and help their customers to the very best of their ability. When I was in Ireland I went with my Dad to a Ford dealer there, where he bought his first car a Ford Anglia. Ever since then we have stayed with Ford for many years. Was a bit put off by the fact that there’s one number for all Carmax is and. It’s hard to tell which location you’re talking to and if you’re talking to a person at that actual location. I understand they’re trying to consolidate things and make it easier, but I want to be able to reach someone, boots on the ground, at the location instead of talking to The call center. That said it seems even when talking to two different dealerships somehow the system sort out the messages but again it’s confusing. Overall, they were fast and friendly, we haven’t done a transaction yet but one thing that was surprising is the offer they gave me 10 days ago has now gone up by $1500. Much better experience than I had braced myself for frankly. So far the two cars that I was hoping to purchase turn out to be duds as they had some excessive wear and tear in spite of low mileage and otherwise good conditions. Maybe less discriminating on their inventory than the other dealers?
