The process took about three hours because I had to go through the "extended warranties and "protection services" that I told them I wasn't interested in. I get it, these deals are a big part of the profit in that business, but I wasn't interested. They didn't push too hard but still a time consuming process. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience other than time consuming.

On June 23, 2026, I had the best experience at Courtesy Motors in Danville, IL that I have ever had in my life at a car dealership, and I am 68 years old. I went there to purchase a 2011 Ford Ranger. A place called Westlake Financial had sent me an email stating that I was pre-qualified for financing on the Ranger and gave me a voucher code for it. But when I got there that pre-qualification and voucher code meant absolutely NOTHING. I live in Kendallville IN, which is about 175 miles from Danville. A friend of mine had left his house in Lafayette, IN at 4 AM to pick me up in Kendallville so we would arrive at the dealership about opening time. I thought all was lost and we had traveled a great distance for nothing. But the staff at Courtesy Motors improvised and came up with a deal so I could drive away in the Ranger. Their sales consultant Xavier Hawkins was the driving force behind the accommodation; he pulled off what can only be described as a miracle. Their pretty “cashier” helped me cobble together my payment methods to make it all work out. And their final sales paper guy (Jeremy) made the last part fast and seamless. I could not be more satisfied or happier with the deal I was given. In fact, I have been peaking out the window to see if the police have arrived to arrest me for stealing the Ranger.
