I sold Honda for years and I always loved driving the Civic SI. I prefer a manual tranny and this car offers that plus a lot more. It’s spacious and the front “racing” style seats hug you! 2019 Honda Civic Si review
I wanted fun to drive, manual transmission, and greater than 30mpgs average. This vehicle hits all those targets. I have done only about 900 miles thus far (in a week) and i just keep wanting to go back for more... so that says a lot. the Mini cooper i test drove for a bit (~800 miles) had greater steering feel, but much great suspension feel (the bumps were harsher)... your choice on which you prefer. I also test drove a VW GTI... sadly the test drive was in an DSG (automatic) and harldy compares, but i did not buy that one. The civic SI may not be the best car out there, but i firmly believe it might be the best are for the money if your priorities are similar to mine.
