Great customer service
November 6, 2018
My car was totaled on Halloween night and I've spent the last two months searching for a nice, used car. As a woman shopping by herself, my experiences at other dealerships in the area were horrible! At other dealerships, I was asked if I knew how to read, asked what my husband told me to do and told if he (the sales person) were my father, he would not allow me to walk out on this deal. I have never been treated with such sexism as when I was shopping for used cars at other dealerships. However, this was NOT my experience at Joe Morgan. It was very refreshing to be treated with complete respect at this dealership. My salesperson, Dwayne Adams, was very professional and respectful. He did a good job of balancing working with two customers at once. I went to other dealerships that would leave mid-conversation when a customer who was buying a more expensive car came in. Once again, not my experience at Joe Morgan. Dwayne did a very good job of asking if it was okay to speak with another customer and never left me alone for more than a few minutes at a time. The customer service was by far the best I received in the city. I would recommend this business to any woman shopping for a car by herself. I felt like I was treated the same as any male customer. Now that we established the quality of customer service, onto the car. I was able to take the car for an inspection at my own mechanics that day. When my mechanic heard the car was from Joe Morgan, he said that he could just save me the money and tell me that any car from that dealership was going to be in great condition. I still opted to pay the extra money to have him do an outside inspection. Everything came back fine! My mechanic said the car was so nice that if I didn't buy it, he would for his daughter. I purchased the car that day. Dwayne Adams accomplished the impossible: selling me a car! I have recieved so many compliments on it. Everyone thinks that it is a brand new car but it's really a 2012 used car with 70 k miles on it. My only suggestion is that when I viewed the carfax it said the brakes and the brake pads were replaced; however when I reviewed the inspection report because the brakes were making noises when released, it said the brake rotors had only been resurfaced and not in fact replaced. I don't know if the dealership is at fault or if carfax is at fault, but I feel like it's not 100 percent honest to say something that has only been resurfaced has been replaced. I feel like there is a discrepancy in the work completed versus the language reported to carfax. However, I'm still giving five stars because of the customer service I recieved from Dwayne and the quality of the rest of the car.
