I'd been in the "gently used" truck market for about 6 months. I had a less than desirable experience (several years ago (15+ years) when the dealership was Mike Davidson). Anyhow, on a whim, I wanted to give Coggin Ford a shot as I had purchased TWO Hondas from Coggin Honda down the road in the past 5 years - so I was confident that even if I didn't buy something from the Ford dealership, I would at least have an awesome experience. I was not let down!! I was greeted by one of the most honest, polite, and down-to-earth "good ol' boys" I've ever met... especially in the car business! Jeff Parton was nothing but professional and friendly. He didn't waste my time - he asked a few basic questions as to what I wanted, what was in and out of scope, and whether or not I was going to trade something in. We got right down to business. The experience from lot arrival to driving away with my new [to me] F150 SuperCrew Lariat FX4 only took like 4 hours, if that! And that INCLUDED me going to my house several miles away to get my trade-in vehicle and going through the on-premises finance process. Jeff made sure that my wife and I were comfortable, attended to, and happy the WHOLE time we were in the pipeline because as most of society knows, buying such a big ticket item is NORMALLY stressful. The test drive and explanation of all of the truck's amenities was STELLAR! I was upgrading from a modestly loaded economy sedan to the "Rolls Royce" of trucks [in my opinion]. Jeff Parton had expert level knowledge of every feature, widget, and detail. It has never been so easy to buy a vehicle. But, it was the following handful of days after the sale that impressed me and prompted me to write this review. Jeff called/texted a few times to make sure that I was good to go. We set up an appointment to go over things that weren't abundantly clear in the manual or that I couldn't figure out on my own. That appointment was on Wednesday (1/13/16 -- 4 days after purchase). We ran through various features, and again, Jeff demonstrated his expertise. I left the dealership happier and more educated than I had been when I got there. I have a follow-up appointment on 1/14/16 to get the door code reset and Jeff has already been in touch in efforts to streamline the process. Bottom line... if you need a vehicle, used or new, give Coggin Ford a shot... give Jeff a shot - ask for him by name.

We stopped in to begin our car search; we were only planning to compare the Volvo XC 60 to other cars we had been considering- mostly to rule it out. Two reasons we stopped looking and purchased a car on the spot; best, friendliest, most sincere and fun car buying experience we had ever had and 2. Have you been in a new Volvo lately? These cars are meticulously crafted, safe and hit the right luxury notes. We sat in two and test drove one car with Brandon Spraul. Brandon is passionate about cars, knowledgeable about his inventory, and is a really great guy. We talked cars, wheels, necessary vs. ???unnecessary??? packages and we found a shared love of design and cars. We felt like we were shopping with someone we knew; the whole experience was top notch. This was our second purchase at Deery of Ames, and it matched our first, although the cast of characters was different than the first The overall process was wonderful and painless. Geoffrey (yes, i spelled it correctly) was a true pleasure to deal with. He ended up more of a friend than a salesman after busting his butt to help us get the deal we wanted/needed. His personable nature and relaxed negotiating was a refreshing change from the usual "chasers" one deals with when driving onto a dealership. Our finance guy, Doug was also extremely helpful to us when it came down to the end result. Doug was able to facilitate the closing of the deal to everyone's satisfaction and was so polite and eager to please. If you need to buy a new or used car, go to Deery in Ames and ask for Geoff. He is very easygoing and won't try to con you. If you have done your research (like my wife did) and know what you want, he will do all he can to make it happen and Doug will be straightforward with you and make sure you get what you need. In the end, my experience was pleasant, un-pressured and successful. I cannot say enough good things about Geoffrey Brown!

I have been wanting a Yellow Jeep Renegade since I first saw a picture of it back in 2014. They weren't even available at the time for purchase, but I loved it from the first time I saw it and I knew that was going to be my next car. I waited for the Renegades to be available in the US, but when they first started production, there weren't any Yellow Renegades available. I also wanted the power roof, but those seemed to have been postponed from production when the Renegades first came out. Finding a Yellow Jeep Renegade with a power roof seemed next to impossible. I waited 2.5 years and when my A/C on my Chevy finally went, I knew it was time to get a new car. I Googled my Jeep specifications and I expected none to appear in the search, but there was one that popped up. Then I thought it would be 100 miles away. As it happened, the car was only two blocks away from where I currently was anyway, so I held my friend hostage and made her come with me to the dealership. I only expected to look at the car to ensure that they actually had the one I wanted, but when I saw it really was the one I had been waiting for, it was a matter of the "when's, how's, where's and how much'es." I randomly was assigned a salesman by the name of Craig and right away he started with his sales pitch. I told him I didn't need a salesman, didn't like salesman and wasn't interested in the banter. He laughed and told me that he "wasn't a salesman" and was actually a former NYC Homicide Officer. That was much more interesting. I laid all my cards out on the table and told him the exact vehicle I wanted. He said all the things that typical car salesmen say. Blah blah blah. However, he told me he was a "Mensche" and I told him to prove it. The guy bought me and my friend Chick- Fil - A with the cash from his pocket. He also gave away his last can of his favorite drink from his personal fridge. I started to like this guy. Then I told him that I just wanted to get the car and go home. I had been up since 5 AM and was very tired. He expedited the sale, didn't mess me around, got the exact price I wanted and turned out to really be a "Mensche." For those of you who don't know what that means, it's "a person of integrity and honor" I don't usually say that about car salesmen, but I knew it to be the case when he came through with everything he said and I even got a dinner out of it for me and my friend. It also helped, I guess, that he'd been through 911. I'm from NY myself and I respected the fact that he tried to save lives and help with the clean-up after 911; not to mention it turned out we were both born in the same hospital in Brooklyn. Overall, I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted. It didn't take as long as it could have and I wound up driving home with a new car. Sure, there were some bumps along the process, but Craig went out of his way to fix all the bumps and came through with what he said he would. It was a good experience.

On one Saturday afternoon during labor day weekend. My mom and I decided to see if we could trade in my 06 Dodge Ram for another more and up to date dodge ram. Since there was a sale going on we figured why not! Once we approached the dealership a women who we had never met before appeared. She had asked us what we were looking for and we told her that we were looking to trade in the truck for a new one. Then she had pointed out to us all the newly dodge rams and then asked us what our price range was and we had told her. Then she pointed us out to a couple more dodges, but none were the one i was looking for. She then asked us if it specifically had to be a truck i was looking to get into and then we had said we tried for a car before, but were never able to get one and the coolest thing she said to us was when theres a will theres a way. Then she told us "loopholes" "I am the queen of loopholes". Then she pointed out this beautiful hellcat, but was too much for myself and then asked us if wanted to try out a white 2015 challenger! We test drove it and took a liking to it and tried for it, but wasn't able to get it. So then the most unexpected thing happened... When she told us that we werent able to get it we pretty much knew the reason why, but then she told us there was good news and took us outside to show us a beautiful red and amazing 2013 challenger! We took it for a spin and loved it very much!!! We then tried for that one and almost immediately she found a way to get us in that car and take it home and since my dad wasn't there to sign and show proof of his income she took the time out of her busy schedule to come all the way to Kermit, Tx to talk to my dad and have him sign some papers!!! As of right now were having trouble Having to show some proof of income, but even that she was willing to be nothing but patient with us!!! She is a miracle worker!!! She even figured out a way to where i could get a new car evsn when our credit was really outta wack! She also found a way to do a "helping one anothers credit" program thing to where during 6 to 8 months my dad and i would be building each others credit up. Its crazy to think that out of a 06 dodge ram i got a 2013 dodge challenger, and a magnificent one at that. It sucked to have trade in little ole blue, but it was time fo her to ride of into the sunset and build new refreshed memories in this amazing car that I, Josh Miranda now proudly own and its all thanks to that god given, kind, and amazing women! Ill never forget the name Maranda Rimer.

The reason I went to Stephen Wade was that a friend had advised to go there and ask if they could match a pending deal for a Ram truck that was offered by a dealer in Phoenix. That deal had seemed to good to be true - a chance in a lifetime. But timing and circumstances made it difficult to make the drive to Utah and I was not certain that this dealer would honor the price of the 2017 Ram and the trade-in they had offered for my truck online So I drove the short distance to Stephen Wade and they spent a lot of time with me - talking about trucks and cars and rebates and looking for available vehicles on their lot that came close to what I had in mind. And they opined that maybe the deal in Phoenix was just to attract customers and not valid. What they did was locate a 2017 Ram truck, base model, that I liked and said they would order it and gave me a good price,. And they checked out my truck and told me the amount they would offer for that trade-in. I was disappointed at the trade-in value. I had not cleaned it up and cleared out my stuff because I was not really looking to buy - just checking them out. But I liked the truck - as it appeared on paper, having tested a similar truck - so I accepted and we began the sale process and then it appeared that truck was no longer available. They located another of the same model with a more amenities at a higher price. I did not care for the extra features and I wavered - and they lowered the price and added rebates and it came to almost as good as the tentative offer in Phoenix, and by this time I was excited about getting a new truck. So I accepted and signed the papers. Then I regretted the decision since it will put me farther into debt and the Veterans Administration has decided to ignore some medical expenses for surgery by a doctor outside the VA. which I had expected to get them to pay. A friend advised me to go back to Stephen Wade and tell them I want to cancel the deal because it was not a good move for me financially. I did so. They told me there was no 3-day window to return a new vehicle in Utah, as the friend has suggested. But they worked on it and came back with an offer to effectively raise the trade-in allowance on my old truck and refund the increase in cash. I figured I could use this to make a couple monthly payments on debts and by then my situation would be more stable and so I was happy to accept. Then the truck arrived and I cleaned out my old truck and drove there and made the exchange. They took some time to explain features of the new truck, changes in technology that I will take time for me to get accustomed to. And they have called me since to check on how I am doing with the new truck. Mostly I am pleased at the amount of time and trouble they went to get me comfortable with the truck and the deal. And I love the truck.
