This testimonial is well over due! My experience started almost 15 years ago as a little kid seeing my parents come home with a new car, from Tom Pappas Toyota of course. I never understood why they???ve bought approximately 4-5 cars from Pappas until it was my turn to buy as a 18 year old teenager ready to make my first major purchase. I of course had to use Mark Garner because well, that???s who my parents trusted and referred. I bought a 2009 Scion tC, which meant no way to negotiate which meant pure pricing back then! I???ve had my ups and downs with my tc, bought her July 3, 2008. lets fast forward and talk about what seemed to me a very simple recall, regarding my car burning through a ton of oil, not good with cars but that???s the English version. I remember calling Chris Banks in a panic because my car was driving very ???rocky???. Of course he knew about the recall, told me to drive it up to so many miles so they can track the consumption per Toyota to figure out my issue. I drove away, got 1 minute away and freaked out! Called Chris and he said please come back and go from there. He was so good with keeping me calm and explaining the issues. Come to find out I almost blew a rod, what ever that meant, found out could have destroyed my engine and my car would essentially be non drivable. Chris immediately put me in a loaner and said he would look at her in more depth. Make a long story short, the oil piston recall if I???m using correct terms resulted in the damage. The damage would cost me roughly $7,000 in repairs including labor and rental. I was in no state of mind to drop that kind of money, she???s been paid off for roughly 2 years at this time. Oh and she unfortunely was not worth $7,000. This is where Kyle, Chris, myself and the Vice President which I believe was Tom Pappas son had a private conversation with how we were going to resolve this unepected surprise. Most dealerships would hand me the 1-800 number and say take it up with Toyota, because it???s a Toyota recall, not the dealerships issue. When I say this dealership went above and beyond, that would be an understatement. My out of pocket expense cost me nothing, they figured out the repair cost directly with Toyota! I remember Kyle calling me with the news and I was so happy and appreciative! They easily could have started the whole conversation with buying a new car but they didn???t. They recognized the many many years of loyalty myself and my parents had to Tom Pappas! I tell this story to a lot of people when buying/servicing their vehicle to go straight to Tom Pappas! Tom Pappas I really hope you recognize your team, I???ve never had any negative experience with any of your staff members. Do I have my go to favorites, well of course! Without those people, who knows what kind of car I???d be driving or how much debt I???d be in! As much as I???m dreading buying a new car, I just can???t listen to other people recommending dealerships and sales people to me. I laugh and smile and respond with telling them I have my people and place to buy my next car! Biggest shout out to Mark Garner who I bought my first car from, Chris banks who is always there to answer my silly odd questions and of course goes above and beyond without question, to Kyle who is service supervisor who went to battle with Toyota regarding my major car repair, to the Vice President at the time, I???m sorry I don???t recall his name, young fella who was extremely helpful as well! I have been a Mazda owner since 2005, starting with the now-discontinued Tribute. It was a workhorse, hauling kid, sports equipment, dog, furniture, etc. It was closing in on 90,000 miles and finally starting to show some wear; there never was major work needed. After my teenager left the nest, I downsized in 2012 to a Mazda3. Another reliable Mazda, more fun to drive that the Tribute, great Bose sound system, a little tight in interior space but all the efficiency savings in space, low profile, smaller engine resulted in really good gas mileage. After 50,000 miles and a lot of distracted driving on my part, it was dinged and dented, and I clearly needed some of the newer safety features. The wear and tear again wasn't Mazda breakdowns; the car never needed anything other than regular maintenance and tires. I debated about getting a hybrid but decided to stick with what's been working for me. The 2018 Mazda3 version I bought has a $1,600 safety package that's well worth it. At first I didn't like the design of Mazda's dashboard navigation/ music/ communications display center, but it's growing on me. And the 2018 model has a dorky screen that pops up on the steering column to display speed, signage, lane info, etc. I'd recently driven a 2019 Mazda CX-5 on a 500-mile trip and appreciated the same type of display projected onto the windshield. But despite the lower-tech look of the 2018 iteration of this feature, I actually like it better. The darker grey screen pops out the letters and numbers much more clearly and is consistent whether night or day. It's now my favorite feature on the car. This Mazda3 rides better than my 2012, perhaps because of the wider tires. Handles really well. And I confess to liking the bit more Zoom I'm getting with the 2.5 engine versus the previous 2.0 one. My mileage likely will go down a bit, but I drive less (now retired), so it's not as critical. Love the leather seats and the classy, subtle dark brown accents on the black interior. It's a bit of a snug fit and is not such as great ride for rear passengers. But that's not the car's primary use so I'll live with that.

I was really blown away by my car buying experience at Pappas Toyota. I was in the market for at particular make and model of vehicle which Pappas had on their lot. Mark Garner was great to work with. He was very responsive through text message, phone and email. Mark was also very honest/ up-front with me about where Pappas was on price. The experience was quite pleasant and I never once had the sense that number games were being played with me as I have experienced in other St. Louis area dealerships with whom I had been working while I was looking for my vehicle. That aspect of the experience was perhaps the most refreshing. Given the distance of my home from the dealership, much of my discussions with Mark took place before I set foot on the lot. Mark made it very easy for me throughout. After we reached an agreement on price and I provided a deposit, I came to Pappas to test drive before I completed the purchase. Mark had the vehicle started, warmed up (it was a very cold morning and ready to go. Again, Mark was very professional throughout the entire experience. Then, I dealt with Nick Yuede, the Pappas Finance Manager who was equally professional and made the financing part of the experience painless explaining to me all of my options. Again I was extremely happy with this level of service. Although the vehicle I purchased was not a Toyota, I do drive a Toyota Sienna and I definitely plan to return to Pappas when I am looking for my next Toyota even though there are two other Toyota dealerships closer to my home. Again, I can't say enough about the overall experience at Pappas. I had been looking/ shopping for my car for some time and been in quite a few dealerships and was frankly tired of the more typical car dealer experience which I did not at all get in my dealings with Mark Garner & Nick Yuede at Pappas. Keep up the great work!

The trunk latch is atrocious. We had the car less than two weeks and the latch stuck, and had to have a dealer get it opened at a cost of + $160. There should be a recall on the Miata just for the trunk latch. We owned a 1995 Miata (much smaller trunk than the 2016/2019), and it never stuck even though we crammed/slammed it shut. This thing is way too sensitive and a cause of constant worry....

I will ALWAYS buy a car from Ed Napleton Honda! Aaron Roberts was fantastic from start to finish. He made sure everything was set and ready to go for us. At first we were wanting a 2019 HR-V but they were moving very slow to make them so we decided to go with a 2018 CR-V instead and he handled that transition AMAZINGLY! A delight to drive! Striking exterior and beautifully finished interior. Reliable with all the luxuries you’ll find on much pricier brands. 2019 models have Apple CarPlay...I had to have it added to my 2018 model (I believe this should be standard on all models to be competitive). Fits 7 pax in comfort, and easy operation of seats in back to manipulate your interior space. Fun to drive and great sound system built in. Very happy!

This car has treated us very well. It is fun to drive. The drivers seat lacks support for the lower back which makes longer trips uncomfortable but we use it primarily for short trips around town and for that it is great. Very reliable, no maintenance issues at all. It's just a very well made car.

Brian Buhr was available to discuss the deal even on his days off! We actually enjoyed working with him and Sveta in the closing hours of negotiations. They were knowledgeable about the vehicle and the process we were going through -- our last purchase was a 2002 EXT from Moore in ~2002! A lot has changed! We are hoping to have the same experience with our 2018 we have had with our 2000 and 2002 Escalades! We are keeping both cars so I'll have the EXT (~150K miles) for the farm and around town trips. Susan loves her 2000 Escalade (~40K) -- we broke it in going to Boise, ID in January 2000 driving through the Rockies in January; an experience! The 4-wheel drive paid for itself! However, we were unable to get the Super Bowl coming back through Nebraska on AM or FM. We called On-Star every ten minutes (they suggested it!) and they kept us informed how the Rams were doing. We watched the last quarter in the motel in Lincoln. Such a deal!

After a nightmarish experience at another nearby dealership, ELCO proved to be an oasis of perfection. I could not have scripted a better experience! Lamarr is the MVP of his trade; I will never look for a new/used vehicle without him again. Period. He was unbelievably gracious for a customer buying a $5500 used vehicle- I might as well have been buying a full priced new Escalade for the treatment I received! When I called and inquired about the adorable Hyunadai I happily purchased a few days ago, Lamarr made the process a dream come true. From his genuinely optimistic and cheerful nature (side of humor included) to his refreshingly transparent opinions, his exceptional customer service is the reason I'm writing my first ever review (of anything, ever). He walked me through the car buying process, from test drive to financing, with patience for my million questions and an easy laugh. I felt at home with the entire staff of ELCO: no stereotypically sleazy used car salesmen, just employees rightfully proud of their business and refreshingly happy to make customers thrilled. Long story short, 1) go to ELCO because you will not be treated better at any alternative- trust me, and 2) ask for Lamarr, even if he makes you look at photos of him playing in his old man basketball leagues. You won't regret it :)

I wanted to express how great my buying experience was at St. Louis Acura. This is my second Acura from them and the process was even better than my first more than a decade ago. I've been an Acura/Honda fan for almost 20 years. The reliability and premium feel is rock solid and this dealership end of the experience completely matched expectations. They were great to work with on my trade (specifically compared to Audi Creve Coeur which basically tried to steal my car), and sales manager David Michiaels was both sensitive and knowledgeable about my particular credit variables. The whole process so much less painful than it's ever been. I wanted also to personally shout out Jesse Griffin, my salesperson. Quite honestly, if not for him I wouldn't be in this car (2018 TLX A-Spec SH-AWD). My plan was to continue driving more vehicles. I was at a point where I had even kinda lost my yearn for the Acura side of the brand; Jesse helped me find that again. He was also great at speaking to me much more like a friend than a salesperson. I hate to be sold -- hate it! And I've always despised the whole car-buying process because it feels like you're doing combat. It wasn't like that at all. Jesse was very knowledgeable about the cars, the dealership, the competition, and even other brands -- quite honestly something that salespeople who have been around for 20+ years have kinda given up on. And best was when he didn't know (rare) he would learn rather than just spitting back an answer. I've had other salespeople blatantly lie because they didn't want to appear like they didn't know. Jesse didn't sell me anything; he and I talked while I worked through the process for myself; he was there to help. For me, that's what all salespeople should aspire to. I wouldn't rate the rest of the dealership experience quite as high, but it was still up there. I've never purchased a vehicle from Leta, but I've tried to look there and I can tell you it's a night and day difference. I have purchased from Plaza and St. Louis Acura has them beat by a mile. Post-sales service also means a lot to me. I had to return for a few things agreed upon during the sale and the Service department experience just continued the pleasantness of this process. In all, I am loving this dealership and give it the highest marks. If you???re considering an Acura, I don???t think there???s a better place to go.

I have owned each new model 2006 Mazdza 6i, 2009 Mazda 6 , 2010 CX-7 , & presently a 2015 CX5. And because of my purchases I have had more encounters for service with Shawn. I had a battery problem on January 9,and Shawn DeGrasso who I have chosen as my service advisor took care my issue. Over the years he has always been friendly, been patience, & he listens and is always professional. I received an email from Mazda Customer Service Survey and answered it on January 13 and Shelly Adams did a follow up call regarding my service yesterday. I want management to recognize Shawn's worth because he knows I have had some very unique issues with all my car purchases. I have learned to respect his knowledge with my car concerns and I believe he believes my concerns as being legitimate. Because who wants to come a dealership unnecessarily (smile). Also, over the years I had the pleasure to have some car issues solved from Glen and Bruce regarding some defects. Finally , the office personnel, and other associates, & parts department have been outstanding, too. Great Job!!!

Was time for another vehicle, so I called Chuck, who I worked with 2 years ago to purchase my 2016 CX5. This time I was looking for something slightly used as a secondary vehicle. While Lou Fusz was my first call, it wasn???t my only call, but as far as having what I wanted at the price I was looking to spend, Lou Fusz Mazda was the place to go. I was in and out in what seemed like no time at all. Chuck and Corey were very fast and friendly. Additional thumbs up to the service department who managed to squeeze me in for an oil change on my CX5 while I was there, despite the fact that I didn???t have an appointment. I purchased this car over a year ago as a certified dealer demo. I had been driving Subarus and other SUV's. The Subarus have uncomfortable seats. The CX-9 has very comfortable seats, great driving dynamics. Plenty of power with the turbo and the most quiet car I have owned. It is also a beautiful design especially in Soul red.

Love the Exterior - Super sharp! Reliability is very good from what I've read. I only kept it 3 months, though, and traded it in for a Subaru Forester. I'm 5'0" tall, and could never get the seat/pedals/steering combo to fit me correctly. Also, visibility is poor, like so many SUVs are these days, due to wide roof pillars, windows are not tall enough or wide enough, & the 4 headrests are in the way of viewing out the side and back as well. Try to get Blind Spot Monitoring & Rear Cross Traffic Alert to help with the visibility issue. My interior was Black, and I felt like I was driving around in a dark cave. The SUBARU FORESTER, however has tall, wide windows, smaller headrests, a standard moonroof on the 2nd trim level (the Premium), so there is visibility and light galore!! They also are much more proactive about offering light-colored seats, which also helps it to not be so dark inside. I don't have blind spot monitoring in it, but I don't need it because the visibility is so good! The LCD screen & features are much more pleasant and user friendly than the Mazda's. The Mazda's will not let you select a certain Radio Station, you have to scroll through all of your stations to find it. Also, it will not let you touch your LCD screen while you're driving, but they force you to look down at the console area & use controls down there to operate the screen while driving, which is super unsafe!! The Mazda has a lot going for it, but I because of the above, I wouldn't really recommend it. But some of it is due to personal preference, as well as my short height. The Subaru Forester is well worth the extra money I paid for it! I LOVE it every single day I'm driving it. I traded a 2016Mazda CX-5 Touring for a 2016 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5i. Best decision I've made in a long time!!

This is our 4th Honda in 9yrs. First, a Civic. Second, the following yr traded for another Civic & a Fit at the same time. Fourtly, just yesterday, purchased a CRV-SUV. Why so many??? Not bc their inferior & brake down. NO!!! Just the opposite!!! BC we absolutely ??? the craftsmanship that go into theses vehicles. THEY ARE TRULY RELIABLE!!! THEY HAVE PROVEN TO BE ALL that everyone said it would be(family, friends, sales ppl) Only had 1 problem/repair earlier this yr. Replaced starter on '09 Civic. AND THAT IS ALL, I PROMISE YOU!!! Every car we purchased was and is brand new. The staff is amazing!!! Professional, considerate, patient, friendly, knowledgeable, modest, not pushy, no haggling, up front. The young man the took care is heaven sent, Joey Vassallo. HE NEEDS A PROMOTION, A RAISE, yes he does. He did what no one else had done. He TOOK HIS TIME & walked me through the whole process of how to operate & understand my new SUV. 5 ????? treatment. I have, for years, been "the car guy" in my household. I always selected the car, negotiated the deal and - like it or not - my wife would end up being generally satisfied with whatever we ended up with. She's never liked (read: despised) car shopping, nor has she ever been into cars enough to care, so long as it's safe, reliable and the radio is LOUD. By the way, we never just randomly buy cars for the heck of it. Our last two cars were 2004 models and we drove each of them close to 200,000 miles these past 13 years. Recently, I spent a year researching and geeking out about what my mid-life crisis car was going to be. Long story, short version: Daddio Version 42.5 upgraded to a sleek Mazda 6 GT from Bommarito Mazda in St. Peters in October, and it was a wonderful buying experience. As my wife's Ford Exploder (I mean, Explorer) started to really give us fits this past year, I asked her to be on the lookout in daily traffic for something she really likes. Nothing fancied her, until one day she recently saw a 2017 Honda Civic hatchback. I mean, she was really into that car and how it looked. And - for the first time ever - she was quite passionate about a vehicle's style and performance and it's sexy lines and this, and that, and, oh, it's sooooo cute! This past week, the Explorer done crossed the line of financial absurdity and wasn't worth repairing any further. No joke: We skipped all my nerdy research, plowing through the online ads and wasting time window-shopping at all the other local Honda dealers. We just went directly to Bommarito Honda, because I knew it would be very comfortable, no-pressure, and - above all - FAIR. For the first time, I shut my mouth and let my wife be in TOTAL control of whichever car(s) she wanted to test drive and features she wanted to discuss. We met with Michael Minner, and after just two test drives, we spent the afternoon getting to know each other. My wife was on top of the world in that edgy, new Civic hatchback. She felt very connected with Michael and trusted him (which is a big deal), so we went through a solid negotiation and got to a very equitable place, fairly quickly, I might add. My wife literally has ownership and buy-in on the car of her choice for the first time in 20 years. She had the BIGGEST smile on her face driving it home that afternoon! Partly, because I finally gave my wife the chance to pick out HER car HERSELF, and that freedom has made a huge difference in her life. Believe it or not, even though she has always LOVED driving, she just never really cared about the vehicle. But NOW she totally gets the whole car thing! Whether driving her new Honda on a cross-country or just to the local-yokel Schnuck's, this Civic will always provide an amazing driving experience for her. But -- there's NO WAY she would be so happy if it weren't for Michael and his teammate Guy Taylor in Finance. Fellas, if you read nothing else in this review, remember this: it is the EXPERIENCE that really matters most to women. My wife's experience at Bommarito Honda was profoundly positive for her, and THAT is the reason why she loves her new Civic so much! (Plus the fact it's a turbo and she can zorch my Mazda any day of the week.) Bottom line: Go see Michael Minner. He's a good, honest, hard-working family dude like us. He gets it. He's a no-pressure/no-worries kind of guy. Michael honestly cares more about developing a positive relationship than squeezing out a deal. He made the stress of buying a new car disappear, and my wife has never been happier behind the wheel of any other car in her life. So, if your relationship with your woman matters. Let. Her. Pick. Out. The. Car. Offer your advice, but only if or when asked. But, trust me on this: Michael will be the best wingman you could ever hope for. Ask for Minner, and you'll be the winner!

I contacted Dean Team to see about getting a 2018 VW Beetle Dune, with certain specifications that I wanted. Reese contacted me and we started the process. Here are some highlights: - Reese went over every part of the process with me so that I understood what was happening. - He made pricing very clear, including any fees and taxes I would need to pay over the price of the car - They had to do an extensive search to find the exact car I wanted. Reese was very diligent in this search, keeping us informed as the search was progressing, then as the car was found and was making its way to St. Louis (the nearest car they could find was in New Jersey!). - Doing the paperwork didn't take too long, maybe 90 minutes of discussion, waiting, and signing. They have free Wi-Fi so it eases the wait a little. - When I took delivery of the car, Reese walked me through every feature and function. He even came in on his day off - Overall, working with Reese was a very pleasant experience. Not to knock other car salesman, but he doesn't have that slimy vibe that makes you want to head for the hills (you know what I'm talking about). If we buy a VW again, we'll go to Reese for sure.

I have zero complaints. I have owned the Grand Touring trim in Soul Red Crystal for 2 years and driven 31k miles. I have not had a single issue in that time. I have driven on rough Colorado trailhead roads, through snow, into the mountains to ski and hike and camp. The AWD is functional. The Bose sound system is wonderful. I get compliments on the color and styling frequently. Love this car. I wish it had more power, but 187HP is fair enough.
