Worked with Joe Haga this past weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better salesman. His expertise was exactly what I needed when coming in to trade in my lease and lease a newer 2026 Subaru SUV. His patience, work ethic, and genuine dedication to getting his customers the best deals and presenting options that align with their wants and needs is unmatched. I live in remote West Texas and do not have a Subaru dealer within 100 miles. I was passing through San Antonio on my way to Houston and decided to stop for a scheduled oil change. I didn't have an appointment, but I was promptly taken care of. The facility was immaculate, and the waiting area was comfortable.

Subaru PacificReviews
Subaru Pacific review
Before calling Subaru Pacific, I spent hours and hours looking at Crosstreks online. I had visited another Subaru dealership that felt like the stereotypical car sales scenario - push for upsell, didn't listen to my price ceiling, and even after running my credit, said they couldn't tell me if I had qualified for the advertised low interest rate until AFTER I made a final deal on a car. I was there for 3 hours and the manager felt sort of dismissiv I called Subaru Pacific, spoke with Josh (so nice to deal with!) and gave him my parameters; there was no slick upsell, no pressure, he also ran my credit but told me immediately what interest rate I qualified for! Within ten minutes we made a deal on the car I wanted, at the price I wanted, and I drove over to sign the papers the next day. Every single person I dealt with at Subaru Pacific was kind, professional, customer-focused, very helpful and put me at ease. I got the feeling these people love their jobs, their product and the company itself. I'm driving a wonderful 2026 Crosstrek now, and so happy with it! Looking forward to the upcoming "tutorial" with Jesse, where I can ask any questions about how to use all the cool features that are completely new to me on this car. Everything about working with Subaru Pacific has been positive.
2026 Subaru Outback review
I have the 2026 Subaru Outback Premium. The car drives great (super smooth/quiet) and the new interior/driver controls are fantastic. Both the climate control and the entertainment system are vast improvement over the 2025 Outback. The sound system is really good for being the Premium model. I got 28 mpg on the first tank of gas and am getting 29 mpg on the second tank of gas. Mostly city driving. I paid right at $33k, which is fantastic value for this great of a car.

Group 1 Subaru El Paso review
Our sales rep was courteous and quickly processed our vehicle. We got an estimate for repairs. It was all done in 40 minutes. He knew we were in a hurry and honored it.
2026 Subaru Outback review
I had some weird requirements. I bought a full-sized spare exactly like the other wheels/tires on the car so I wanted it to fit in the wheel well. It did that. I also wanted a car that had a very convenient way of turning off the auto on/off feature where the car's engine turns off when you come to a light. I also wanted AWD. The cabin is quieter than my previous car so that's also a plus. The seats are very comfortable. The only small negative is that the map lights are very weak. I will have them replaced with LED bulbs at the car's first oil change at 3000 miiles.

Hawk SubaruReviews
Hawk Subaru review
I had an incredible experience at Hawk Subaru this week. I was in the market for a new, fuel efficant, vehicle and had my mind set on another brand. After further research I decided to test drive a Subaru, mostly because of the symmetrical all wheel drive and how our winters could be. My wife and I were lucky enough to have Angelo meet us at the door and have the time to help us out. If I told you what a dynamic, outgoing, personality this man has I'd still be selling him short. This is a guy who believes in The Subaru brand and loves his job. We went for a test drive and Angelo gave us all of the highlights and features on what makes their vehicles stand out from the crowd. We test drive a Crosstrek Hybrid and it was one of the smoothest vehicles I've ever driven. You'd never know it was switching between the engine and the battery, or even charging the battery as I coasted. Right then I was convinced that it was the right car for our needs. I was working nights and long hours so I knew I wouldn't have the time to clean out my trade in and purchase it so I let him know my day off so we could get the ball rolling. Unfortunately, that vehicle sold but Angelo found me a different one in a different color. By the time I hit to the dealer that one sold also. This man found me one that was in the original color, but had a few different options. Unasked, He put together a deal that couldn't be beat and we started the paperwork. Chandra in the Finance Department walked me through all of the things I needed to sign and initial, and while I was there talking I found her to be as enthusiastic as Angelo was about Subaru vehicles. She even followed up with me a few days later to be sure everything was going well with our purchase and financing. Hawk Subaru, and it's Employee Family, is a spectacular place to buy a vehicle. I highly recommend them and their team.

We worked with Brittany New when buying our Certified Pre Owned Impreza and it was an easy, stress free experience. Not only is she knowledgeable about her trade but is a very likable person who was always responsive to my questions via email or phone. She made herself available to us, although I'm sure she was juggling many "xxxxx" at any given moment that hardly seemed apparent. She made sure the process was simple for us and that we were getting what we wanted. Highly recommend!

I worked with Sharon online before driving to Bellingham. She was friendly, prompt, and straight-forward with me. When I arrived, there were no surprises. The car was exactly as described. Dewey Griffin did the 30,000 mile service and detailed the car. It is beautiful and runs great! I would recommend Dewey Griffin to anyone looking for a pleasant buying experience. Thank you, Sharon!

Dewey Griffin review
Stress free test drive/purchase. Tony B. met us in the parking lot. Very casual, no pressure. Not like the other dealerships we went to. They made us feel like fresh meat at a piranha convention! We test drove a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. We were looking for a pickup but had no luck after 2 weeks up and down the I5 corridor from Seattle to Bellingham. Tony B. was very patient and polite. The experience was refreshing to say the least. So, we bought what we needed, (NEEDED not WANTED. I wanted a Lamborghini Countach but my wife said it would be difficult to fit a tow hitch on it). Shout out also to Jeff. He helped us out by arranging a couple of fixes to the vehicle. Needless to say we were very impressed by the service. All-in-all a very pleasant experience. When we win the Lotto we will buy all our future vehicles from Dewey Griffin.

Dewey Griffin review
I admit I was anxious about going by myself to meet with the salesman about buying a new vehicle. I couldn't have asked for a nicer easy going no pressure salesman to assist me than Kris Parker at Dewey Griffin Subaru. He answered all my questions and offered to take me for a test drive when I didn't feel comfortable getting behind the wheel. He stayed in touch and kept me updated while waiting for my vehicle to arrive. On day of delivery he was thorough going over paperwork and again there was never any pressure. He went over everything in the vehicle often explaining it to me more than once and helping to set up some of the new technology for me . He followed up with me the day after on the phone and in person to show me a few more things. He reassured me I could call him anytime and he was always happy to help. Everyone there from the door greeter to the management staff are super friendly and helpful and you really feel like they care and want you to have the best experience. I got the feeling that they loved what they do and took pride in making sure you had an excellent car buying experience and are happy with your new vehicle!

Compared to the dealer I dealt with the day before, this place was a stark contrast. I was at easy and didn’t feel pressured at all. Shannon was top notch and took her time to get to know me!
