I don't trust used car salesmen or dealers. I believe their general reputation for hype and dishonesty is well deserved. My experience with South Street Auto was remarkable not only because it contrasted with nearly every other used car dealer I have visited over many years. It was absolutely positive. This is a professional operation. Here are the details in brief. I went there on a Saturday to look at a 2004 Volvo, which was advertised at a price $2000 below book value. The test drive was good, and the car seemed to be exactly as they advertised. They said their mechanic had checked it out thoroughly. But I wanted my Volvo mechanic to inspect it. They were very accommodating. We agreed that I would tentatively buy the car, and they would wait to put through the paperwork until they heard from me by the end of the day on Monday. On Monday my mechanic found three items of concern: a noise in the alternator that sounded as if it were near the breaking point, a leak in the power steering reservoir, and a crack in the seating for one shock absorber. South Street Auto was surprised by the finding, but readily acknowledged that these were meaningful concerns. I proposed a compromise: they would replace the alternator, and I would repair the other two problems at my mechanic. Within an hour the salesman had the owner's approval for this compromise. They replaced the alternator with a new one the next day while I waited there. Bottom line: South Street Auto is a company with honest, decent salespeople who treat you with respect, and who are willing to admit a mistake and to help in correcting it. The car is terrific, and was a great value even with the $450 in repairs, and the experience buying there was first rate. Let me note that I am a real buyer, I am not a relative or friend of anyone at South Street Autos, and they did not ask me to write this review (and don't know I am writing it).
2018 Porsche Macan review
One of the most fun cars I have ever driven. The acceleration and handling are on another level than the X5M or X3M. It’s also practical and looks extremely sharp. Infotainment could be better - the PDK is lightening fast though. Exhaust tone is amazing. I can go on and on.

2017 Porsche Macan review
I bought the Base model and has been surprised how good it is compared to better trims among Macan's core competitors in F-Pace, GLC and SQ5. When making the purchase decision, I test drove almost all the competitors and realized that Macan is definitely most fun to drive SUV. I did give up on some better interiors of cars like Land Rover Range Rover Velar, F-Pace but the added value of driving quality is far superior. One thing that I would recommend Porsche to add is Android Auto. It is shocking how poor Porsche's tech is compared to its rivals. Overall, this is a really good value for money if you live in a big city, but like to go on road trips every now and then.

Five thousand dollars , but I feel at the application , because the car I was looking Was three thousand something something You told me you do not finance. I am a man Raising my 2 granddaughter. 9 at 10 Also, I'm dealing with cancer and heart problems and need a vehicle. I can afford $78 a month. And according to your website, I qualify, but when I called, they said they will not give me a loan. Because the car was under the amount used to take loans for broke my heart, cause I needed to get back-and-forth to my hospital visits and taking my granddaughters where they need to go friends of mine said. These are very reputable, and I was hoping it was something you could do for me. I'm a little heartbroken that I can't get a card from you, I know my credit score in bed, but when it came down to paying Certain things like my medication, they destroyed my credit rating. I just like to say thank you.\n And then if there was ever anything you could do get me in a vehicle. That is between 3 and 4000 dollars. With a payment of 73 Dollars A month, I appreciate it. 2020 Porsche Macan review
Recently purchased the 2020 Macan GTS, so still in 'honeymoon' phase. That said, no issues to report. Pretty amazing how the vehicle can change personalities. Can be Dr. Jeckyl - smooth, quiet, refined touring car. Click a few buttons and its Mr. Hyde - growling, fast, quick steering tall hatchback that is ready for twisting roads or highway blast. Not encountered a vehicle that does this touring/sport change as well. Another standout for the 2020 is ability to go 'old school' buttons/analog - or modern digital interfaces. Like all the buttons, once you get to know them. Quick and less distraction from road. Rear seat is snug for anyone over 6 foot. Chose this over the Audi SQ5 - but it was a close contest. GTS wins on driving dynamics, but SQ5 is a wonderful luxury experience. Hard to resist the Porsche once you drive it. Does the luxury part pretty darn well too. Wow.

2017 Porsche Macan review
The Macan base we bought is 2017 model. Until October 2022, there is no other maintenance except the front wheel bearing replacement within the warranty period. The maintenance cost is more expensive than that of other brands, except that it is a cost-effective Porsche car.

2021 Porsche Macan review
Looking for a car for a 60 y/o successful, self employed financial executive. Who happens to be my wife. Looking at and test ruding; Lexus RX350, Audi Q5, Lincoln Nautilus, BMW X3 not beibg very impressed with these cars, especially at price point and commonality. Hopped in a Macan at Porsche Dealership, never looked back. Terrific handling and performing vehicle. Style, quality and hugh FUN FACTOR!!! Maybe not as big or roomy as the other vehicles, maybe missing a bit of the "U" in SUV....but after all we're talking about a PORSCHE here, a true high performing sports car by one of the greatest race car manufacturer of all time! Lots of good quality luxury SUVs in this category. But then theres the Porsche Macan in a class by itself. You wont be dissapointed and look forward to getting up every morning to head out for the pure joy of the ride!

2023 Porsche Macan review
Bought 2023 Macan T. I traded in my aging 911 for it. I did not buy another 911 because they have become too big and expensive. The Macan T is a fun car to drive if you are actively trying to drive it. The back seats are tight. The PCM is frequently confounding or crashes and won’t play any media unless you stop the car, turn it off then open the door close the door and restart it. The fit and finish is excellent. The upgraded seats are good. I can’t activate the around view monitor unless I put it into reverse. The dealer wants 300.00 to connect the my Porsche app on iPhone to the car. Porsche corporate is helpful and has normal humans that answer the phone. The PDK is fun and the exhaust has some fun subtle sounding pops. It’s like a refined hot hatch car but not really a great highway car. The base stereo is plenty good enough. Styling is top notch. Adaptive cruise works but needs supervision while using. The rear wiper appears cheap and flimsy. Should have been mounted from the top of the rear glass. The guages in the day are too dark not lit up and hard to see. The back up camera has poor resolution and has a strange perspective making it less useful. It’s a fun, clever designed expensive car with tech flaws that you have to overlook to enjoy the car. If you buy a slightly used one from a Porsche dealer you can get your warranty close to 6 years. Service is expensive probably to pay for giving you a loaner.

He was so kind and caring and willing to do whatever it took for me to be able to officially say “I’m a car owner!” He took his time with me and never made me feel rushed. Thank you George!! His manager, Roman was so compassionate and took the time to speak with me about what all of the fees meant and what we could do to get a monthly payment that I was comfortable with. He sat down with me, human to human, and connected with me on a personal level while trying to get me into the car of my dreams. Thank you Roman!! The finance office was the part I was most scared of. I was sooo pleasantly surprised and relieved when I met Ash. He was so incredibly patient with me while I asked a million questions and he took his time clearly explaining everything in a way that I could understand. He also gave me some great financial advice for bettering my future that I am truly grateful for. He helped me find the right terms for my loan so that I could be comfortable and confident as I drove off the lot. Thank you Ash!! Every single person I interacted with went above and beyond their job description and made me feel like I mattered. It felt like it wasn’t just my business that mattered but that me as a person with a life outside of that dealership, I mattered to them. My happiness and well-being mattered to them. My future and comfort mattered to them. There was not a single time I felt pressured or discouraged. The car was also immaculately clean, which I very much appreciated. 2021 Porsche Macan review
Love Love Love my 2021 Macan Turbo - It tracked almost as good as my 2019 Boxster GTS. (Within a couple seconds). Tech features are great - love the PCM (Radio Module - easy carplay and works well). Very comfortable suv smooth riding. Seems very reliable so far. 15k miles so far.
