First Subaru but not first AWD

I bought this yesterday Feb 1 2019 with 20,700 miles on it from the dealership at Southpointe Hendricks Subaru in Durham, NC. I think the dealership did not give a great deal. charged more than they should have. I got black Premium. The car seems higher than the sport model i tried in a different place which had everything on it. This one doesn't have the blind spot or auto braking before a collision and I think I should have had that. The car drives well but has a lot of body roll and some engine noise. Though outside noise is negligent. Brakes well and corners well as the turning radius is smaller than the legacy. It doesn't feel as planted as my BMW 2011 3 series with X Drive but that is a different category of car altogether. But for all the other cars in it's price range drives very well and looks stylish and classy in black as well as the AWD which even in if you have some snowy days in the winter is useful as well as in the rainy days in all the other seasons. I cannot say much of reliability as i have not owned it but one day. Hope it is. All in all, the affordability and the AWD and the safety that drew me to the first Japanese car I have bought. And no, not a BMW but drives well and I am satisfied.

Amazing service! I have bought many cars in my time however I will continue to be a repeat customer with Chapman Chevy! I just finished my 3rd car purchase with them in the last 2 years. I bought a Malibu in 2014 and 2 cars this month (1 new Malibu and a used car for my son). I HIGHLY recommend requesting Danny Ortiz! This last purchase I had some things I needed to have done with my car. Not only was the purchase super quick and easy, Danny was there every step of the way for the next 3 weeks to make sure I was 100% satisfied. He went above and beyond what he needed to do. I have had so many sales reps in the past that lie and do not care. When the sale is done they are done. You will NOT get this service at Chapman. They will continue to help you plus the service department is top notch as well! If you are in the time of considering a purchase on a new or used vehicle I would give them a call and ask for Danny Ortiz (at least to feel him out). I just want you to have an amazing experience like I did! There is nothing in this for me and I don???t often write reviews like this however I know this can be a stressful time, especially if you do not have experienced people that care! I honestly hated this car. The only time where I loved it was in the snow...because it just never got stuck. Like I could have snow up to my fenders and still mash the pedal from a dead stop and not slip once. Like it was kind of unbelievable in the winter. But with having standard awd it's kind of expected. But everything else...it's uncomfortable, the electronics tended to just stop working...regularly...like the radio would shut off at random, the back up camera would stop working whenever it felt like...radio presets would reset, the screen would stop working...just a headache sometimes. The check engine light would pop on every once in awhile seemingly for no apparent reason and then go off without warning. It got TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE...like literally terrible... For a four banger I literally only averaged like 23 mpg....on a good day got 25...never higher than that...and I do ALL highway driving. I bought a f**king Challenger and that thing averages 30 mpg...and has DOUBLE the power. It's insane. And I don't understand it. And the car is ungodly slow and I HATE the CVT trans...it's literally the worst thing ever. I wanted a manual but I settled for the cvt because I didn't want to wait a week when I needed a car at the time. It is what it is. If you don't care about fuel economy, performance, working radios, electronics in general, and just something that you can get from point a to b with little to no issues then get a subie...But if you actually care about all that stuff then I'd stay very far away from this car. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I don't really car. Literally the MOST BORING car I've ever owned...and I used to own a 1998 Ford escort that broke every other week and that thing was still more fun than this... Just happy to be out of it. Someone else's problem now.

The car met all of my travelling needs. It's a great commuter and capable of some adventurous dirt paths. Getting ~30mpg for AWD all the time is great. Subaru's eyesight makes the driving experience assuring and the Apple CarPlay integrated in the head unit makes media consumption super easy.

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

I first owned a 2013 impreza. I totaled it at 103,500 miles and bought a 2018 impreza with 7800 miles. You would think after 5 years Subaru would get their bluetooth connectivity issues fixed. But obviously not. I'm playing music in my car get out of my car with it still running, get back in my car put it in reverse and my phone randomly disconnects and will not reconnect until I restart the car. And heaven forbid you take your seat belt off a split second before you put it in park because it will beep like crazy even after it's in park! So stupid! I feel like my 2013 impreza was a little quicker as well. My 2013 had all the recall/lawsuit problems so hopefully the 2018 is better build quality . Other then those small problems it's been a great car and I like it.

Buying a car is stressful even if you have a lot of experience. Historically, it has been time consuming, emotionally taxing and most of us go into a dealership with far less knowledge than we ought for a purchase of the magnitude of a car. Salespeople have (understandable) pressures to move inventory and even the most fair-minded is looking to get the highest price they can get away with. It is harrowing at best. With my experience with Carvana, all of these stresses were eliminated. I browsed inventory as widely or narrowly as I wanted, for as long as I needed. I could dictate pricing ranges that were suitable for me. The car I received was *exactly* the car I examined online, right down to some inconsequential bumper scuffs. Beyond this, and *absolutely unlike* any other online business, I could speak to a *real human being* within a few minutes of calling (I had six or seven conversations with Carvana agents over the 3 1/2 weeks from car selection to car receipt). They either had the answers at hand, or researched them and replied promptly with a follow up call. Delivery coordination and drop off (and test drive) were *painless no pressure* experiences???all preparatory contract paperwork was prepared in advance leaving only title transfer stuff to take care of. It took 45 minutes, tops. (I transacted entirely in cash, so I cannot speak to the process when there is financing.) Honestly, the biggest delay was on *my* end getting the insurance transferred (having to wait on hold with my insurance company for 15 minutes). The car was 100% was described???absolutely no surprises. The images on the web site for my car were not stock images. What I saw was what I got. Naturally, it was clean, filled up with a full tank, with new tires and the whole nine yards. Even got a ???free??? Carvana reusable coffee cup and key chain. Nice touch. The part that I found the most extraordinary was the 7-day money-back guarantee, which pretty much covers a change of mind unless you get into an accident or drive it a ton (over 400 miles, and even then, they???ll take it back after a modest per-mile-over-400 charge). All in all, I was dreading buying a car (and selling my used one) and Carvana made it pleasurable. I am absolutely recommending them to all of my friends and coworkers and I hope (as a relatively new company) they keep up the excellent work.

Like most I was very skeptical about buying a car online. But I did my research and google'd the company like crazy. What I found in my research is the company had laid off people due to rapid growth and during this time frame the reviews were not good at all. Which to me makes sense and most likely vroom could have done a better job to make sure customers did not feel the effects. But after that period the reviews were really good. Also they have a very high rating with the BBB. That all said I decided to purchase my Jeep Wrangler through Vroom. The entire process from start to finish was awesome! I did not do a trade but just a purchase. I submitted my request for finance and purchase on 7/29 Sunday morning and received a call 7/30 Monday morning. I spoke to the sales person which there was no pressure just Q&A. I put down a deposit so I could secure the Jeep. There was communication via email by Vroom throughout the process including when the Jeep was in route. My jeep was delivered within the time frame they explained, which was the following Friday 8/10 cleaned and in excellent condition. I received my tag and paperwork about a month after the Jeep was delivered. I have 3 kids so spending 4 hours at a dealership is not fun. I would definitely buy from Vroom again. I hope this review helps others who might be on the fence. (Atlanta, GA)

Car buying online can NOT be this easy anywhere else. Submitted credit app, followed up on the app on Monday 6/11/18, got approved, received contracts on Wednesday 6/13/18, returned them back at a FedEx drop-off box, Vroom recevied them on Thursday 6/14/18, paid my deposit as well, Vroom Rep called me on Friday 6/15/18 and said my car had been moved to the shipping department to be inspected and prepared for shipment. On Monday 6/18/18, I received an email saying that estimated delivery day would be 6/20/18. At this point I'm over the top anxious and super excited for 6/20/18. On 6/20/18 evening, around 5:50 p.m., Vroom Rep calls and tells me that the delivery guy won't make the delivery time scheduled for 6/20/18 so it'll be 6/21/18 when he delivers the car. I received my car on 6/21/18 at 6:00 p.m. at a Wal-Mart super center parking lot. I signed the bill of lading and received my keys. Oh, and there must had been miscommunication between the delivery guy and Vroom, because before he handed me my keys he asked who was going to pay him, and I told him my shipping fees and all were included in my financing. So he said they are probably just going to send him a check. Other than that; everything went extremely smooth. I did not run into any problems other than the day delayed delivery (which wasn't a big problem). I am completely satisfied. I received my paperwork and my car all in ONE week!!! ONE week!! It does not get any better or easier than that. The car is freaking awesome, l LOVE it!! It's just like brand new on the inside and almost on the outside, I take that back, it is pratically brand new on the outside with just minor scratches and paint chips. I love love love my car!!! I would highly recommend Vroom to family and friends and to anyone looking to purchase great vehicles at reasonable costs. In the future, I plan to purchase again from Vroom. Thanks Vroom!!

Some people thrive on the haggle experience....I am NOT one of those people! My bank was advertising VROOM and I thought I???d take a look. Admittedly, I was scared to buy a car....site unseen....but I was purchasing a new car (2017), so I wasn???t as scared as buying an older model. I called VROOM when I saw the car I wanted and the paperwork (I financed my car through my personal bank, but I hear they finance as well). started right there and then. Literally my car was shipped a week later and was picked up at our local mall (there was 3 other cars dropped off). The only hiccup...they forgot to send my temporary tags for the car, but we got it all squared away. Love my car, been driving it for 4 months now. Positives of buying through VROOM....no haggle, fair price; easy paperwork; 3 month warranty on all cars (try getting that at a regular used car dealership); Roadside Assistantsnce on all cars; FREE shipping to your house (or nearby)! Negatives: When I realized they didn???t send temporary tags with the car, I tried to callig back the 3 people I had worked with to purchase the car and each of their numbers were disconnected which really scared me. I emailed VROOM directly about my tags and they got back to me within the hour and emailed & overnighted my temporary tags. Hopefully, they change this practice and appoint someone to work with you until the car is successfully registered in your home state! Other then that....would totally recommend them!

I was referred to Vroom by my neighbor. He had explained to me that he bought a car from them, but ended up returning it do to circumstances. He spoke so highly of the process that I started to casually browse the site periodically among other car sites. It didn't take long until I found a car I wanted. The buying process was easy. I called, if I wanted to put a temp hold on the car, I just had to put a deposit down via credit car. I could get that back later on or take it off the purchase price. Easy enough. I was then overnight paperwork to complete with return overnight envelope. I knew a holiday was coming up and that would effect delivery - and it did, by about 4 or 5 days. The car still arrived 1 day earlier than expected with 60 day temp plates ready to go. Trade in? Wow that was too easy as well. Fill out the form, rate the condition, what I expected, and go. They replied back within to me 1 business day with their answer. I read a bad review about someone's temp plates expiring and it being a hassle to get new ones. I too ran into a situation where my tags expired. I called Vroom up and they had a new temp tag to me by the end of the day. No hassle or push back. My actual plates arrived about 2 weeks later, so I am glad I called for new tags. Christos was my original rep. He was great to work with, explained how everything would happen and a rough time line of when to expect things. I would suggest working with him. I expected pre-sales to be very good. I did not expect post-sales to be just as good. Coming off an absolutely terrible buying experience from a local dealer, this was a pleasant 180 of a process. Now when I share my terribly buying experience, I immediately follow it with how positive this one was. Keep it up Vroom.

Had to tow my 2007 Subaru Legacy car in for an extensive repair. Never met the Service writer before. I had the AutoNation extended warranty so he had to coordinate the repair approval process with them. He called me when my car arrived (2 days prior to my scheduled appointment). He worked on my car ahead of my appointment (1 day early). They fixed it and was able to get the car back early. Was extremely knowledgeable and professional when we came to get the car. Would absolutely recommend AutoNation Subrau with no doubt they are competent, caring, go the extra mile Service Dept team!

It does everything! An absolute blast to drive, plenty of power and excellent handling, all-weather capability and you can throw your bike in the back. It even works as a family car, when the kids are small! Plenty of legroom & headroom up front, really intuitive controls, quality interior. Very easy to get to know this car and wow does it drive well.

Started the buying process through USAA, as they offer a discount. (It's not a huge discount, but it also includes lots of other little things, like maximums on what a dealer can charge you for certain things, etc.). When I hit that button, I was innundated by calls, voicemails, emails and texts from 7 dealerships! It was very overwhelming. Eric Steffes at Camelback sent me one email and one text the next day. When I explained that I was just gathering info and was being hounded by all these dealerships, he was very understanding. He sympathized, and then told me exactly what he had that met my specifications. No upsell, no pressue, just "here is what I have and this is the price." Considering most dealership won't give you exact pricing without you coming in to the dealership, I was impressed - and relieved. I liked the vehicle, texted with him with a few questions about the vehicle and set up a test drive. When I arrived fo rhte test drive, both Eric and the vehicle were ready and waiting for me. He answered all my questions, and I decided to purchase the car. I had to go back to work, so I filled out the credit app, they valued my trade inand I went back to work. I was in and out in 35 inutes. I returned to the dealership after work, and once again, everything was ready to go. The vehicle was ready, and the paperwork just needed to be signed. Blake, the F & I manager was great. We went through the paperwork for the vehicle purchase, my trade in and everything. When we go to the extended warranty part - Blake did exactly what any good salesperson does - he did his best pitch. He answered my questions, and pressed the issue. When I declined, he pressed again, but respectfully. I declined again, and he did some finagaling along with the sales manager and GM of the dealershp to get me the warranty at a price I could live with. I honestly feel that I got a great deal on the vehicle AND the warranty. Delivery was a breeze, and Eric even helped me move stuff from my trade in to the new vehicle. All in all, I would definately recommend Camelback Ford to purcahse a vehicle. They were 100% professional, and respectful of my time and budget!

6 great years in my Impreza Wagon

I drove this Subaru Sport Premium for 6 years. My first AWD car and I loved it! This car blew my Mazda 3 wagon out of the water. There was no comparison for driving in snow, ice and rain in New England. It was the mid model and I was very happy. Cloth seats were fine and comfortable, ample storage. Bluetooth was bad, and generally the cars Tech was sub par. My major complaint was the advertised 26 city / 37 hwy MPG. This estimate IS criminally wrong. Not even close, after 6 years the best combine was 25 MPG and that included round trip drives from Boston to Montreal with NO stop lights for 100s of miles. Also issue with 'wheel bearings' at the tune of $500. According to the mechanic, Subarus are know for this issue and this was only one rear wheel, uugh. But this car did me fine for 6 years and choose to trade up to a new brand and leave the awful MPG and 'wheel bearings' behind. I'll see how the Buick Encore goes for 6 years.

When beginning my car buying process, I was dealing with a salesman named Chris, who turned out to be extremely unprofessional and rude. He hung up on me when I told him that I would not be financing through the dealership. But once I arrived I met Dennis, another salesman, who was EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL. If it wasn't for him, I would not have given the dealership another thought, and would have taken my business elsewhere. Dennis was great and straightforward. Then once I picked a car and began signing all the paperwork with Rick, the finance guy, I was even more impressed. He was very personable and professional. I will be driving back to the dealership (from California to Arizona....5 1/2hrs) when I purchase my next Jeep!

Needed missing nvigation manual.

Nearly a year after we about our 2917 Accord Sedan we realized that we never received the manual for the navigation system. When I contacted David Wetzel to request a replacement, he investigated and found that no manuals were available except through special order and at a cost of $50-60. The manual can be downloaded, but contains around 160 pages. Since it would only be truly useful while in the car and our home printer could not handle a print job that large, David volunteering to print off a copy of the manual and mail it to us. It arrived shortly thereafter. This was so helpful to us, and Dave definitely went beyond the call of duty!

I have been very happy with this car over the past year and 10,000 miles. It is surprisingly fun to drive...even more so in the winter with tires one can trust in ice and snow (OEM tires wouldn't stop the car on wintry road and I replaced them). Great city car and good interstate road trip car too, sometimes getting high 30s mpg at 70 mph. Engine always willing. Handling is great. I can load my bike in back without its front wheel, seats down, or a mower with the handle folded down. Infotainment center is bland, but I have a newer Honda where I find the same to be aggravating. The Impreza is quite low to the ground, so I need to consider that around snow berms and rutted roads; the Crosstrek is the answer to that, if you drive in rural and rougher roads. It is always a treat to get in the driver's seat and go for a spin.

This car is an AWD car like all Subaru's and it also had phenomenal gas mileage. Recently went on its first long road trip and it got an average of 39 miles to the gallon. I have had other cars of it type and none of them feel as sturdy as this one. The only issue that I have with this car is sometimes the backup camera can have issues, but this is supposed to be fixed in an update.

My 2017 Impreza Sport has been flawless, The miles per gallon have been great, but 10% less than rates because I drive it aggressi. I love the new platform of a small SUV hatchback. There is so much space to carry loads of luggage.

My husband bought a 2002 Mercury Marquis on Sat Jan 30th 2016 after 18 miles the check engine light came on. We took it to our mechanic who told us it needed a tune up, intake manifold and gaskets. My husband called Jack who told him to bring it back in. We took it back to Mark, the service mechanic. They replaced all the spark plus, manifold, thermostat and gaskets. When we took it back to our mechanic he told us how impressed he was with all the work they did. Very happy!

The sound, the handling, and the joy of driving this 2007 base model Impreza sedan is definitely a diamond in the rough for little cost of entry. Although most know and recognized the wrx and sti models for their performance this model still gives you decent power and similar driving feel along with that symphonic experience exhaust note minus the turbo of course.
