2021 Subaru Ascent review
Great car but excessive tones/beeps/alarms/etc. Jolting. You think something is wrong with the car. Especially the seat belt one—SCREAMS at you. Creates stupid drivers who rely on all these warnings.

An excellent vehicle for the bat s..t crazy fast urban interstates that are all cracked and busted that I commute daily - soaks up road imperfections very well - excellent visibility quality fit and finish . surprisingly well equipped - fantastic safety + features and my first car with turning headlights and water proof seats- cool machine all around. highly recommend.

2019 Subaru Forester review
I’ve driven the Forester before and have been wanting one for two years. So now that it was time for me to give up my 2010 Legacy with 222,000 miles on it, I chose the Forester. The dealer is very customer friendly and very competitive in their pricing, even though I paid 25K plus for a four year old car…vestiges of the used car pandemic pricing. The car drives beautifully, smooth and quiet. I am very happy with my purchase.

2016 Subaru Forester review
I've never owned a Subaru before but after purchasing the Forester, I may never own anything but a Subaru again! I love the Eyesight Drivers Assistant that it came equipped with. I can see why this car has one of the best safety ratings out there. The interior is very open, spacious, & comfortable and the panoramic sunroof is amazing! It drives and handles like a dream. 2014 Subaru Forester review
I was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.

2022 Subaru Outback review
I purchased my Outback Premium in 2022 new. Liked the color. silver, and didn't want moonroof or a lot of extras that could break. Bad battery experience has really disappointed our experience although the cars performance and comfort has not.

2019 Subaru Forester review
I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I couldn’t even feel it; I watched the speedometer. Love the safety features and extras like seat warmers and large sunroof.

Mechanically reliable. Decent gas mileage. Headrests block line of vision. Sideview mirrors can be difficult to adjust. The most uncomfortable seats of any automobile I have ever owned. Lots of cabin noise both city and highway driving.

2019 Subaru Forester review
I recently had my car stolen and totaled. I actually work for the dealership and enjoy the work I do with the company. Mr krohn has been helping me out for the past month and a half with a car. It has been difficult but with the patience and time he has given my mom and I, I could not be more grateful for him! He worked with my mom and I till the very end and has been nothing but helpful. I ended up getting a 2019 subaru forester. Lots of room and a perfect vehicle into the middle of my adult life. I hope this car lasts me through the next few years. 2023 Subaru Forester review
Likes: spacious interior despite modest exterior dimensions, easy to maneuver, great visibility all around, comfortable ride, good traction, handling, and braking, nice interior finish on sport model, strong steering responsive headlights yet they don't blind opposing traffic, very good optional Harmon sound system, numerous effective safety features, low insurance premiums, adequate acceleration..a few cons: actual economy slightly under EPA estimates, seat may be a bit too firm for some but easy to address by adding a thin seat cushion, mandatory sunroof on all but the base model..I wish Subaru would just make that a single option..rough engine start-stop ..however I disable it each time I start engine so it can be a non issue...no reliability issues yet but since this has a cvt and fairly complex safety features, long term reliability is unknown..

Car drives very well and has many nice safety features. It is good on gas mileage and has been dependable. Subaru service at the dealership is all you could ask for. So far at 29K miles, tires & brakes are still good.

2016 Subaru Impreza review
I love my car. 5 speed with 20k miles. Ive put on another 100k. I have taken this little AWD car places most people dont drive their 4x4’s. But I am meticulous about maintenance. I’ve never had a single issue with anything other than a thermostat replacement and A/C recharge. With the manual I don’t have to worry about a crap cvt. The first clutch lasted 118,000 miles. The only issue was the trust bearing, the clutch was still good. You cant beat a manual AWD that gets 30+ mpg IMO. Take care of the car and it will take care of you.

2022 Subaru Outback review
Got a '22 Touring XT. I knew the base engine was pathetic so I wanted the turbo. Gladly sacrifice some MPG for way more power. They shouldn't even offer the base engine on this car. Anyway, after 44k miles it's running like a champ. Absolutely no issues with the electronics (a few minor glitches here and there but nothing to take to the dealer for), CVT is fine, engine is fine, the AWD is second to none! Plowed right through a 15" blizzard through Kansas City like it was nothing. My biggest gripe are the squeaks and rattles. Highly annoying. My '17 Chevy Colorado with 64k miles is tighter and quieter. Cargo space is top notch, I have a bad back so getting in and out of a taller vehicle is much easier. But there is just too much tech and driver assistance, Subaru needs to tone it down a little. I still prefer to actually DRIVE my car, not have the car drive me. Overall I'm still happy with it.

2022 Subaru Outback review
Slower than molasses in January if you don't get the turbo. But a reliable wagon that's absolutely awesome for parents. Plus, you can make up for the lack of speed by just running over stuff thanks to the ground clearance.

2012 Subaru Outback review
Owned this car since I ordered it new. Limited trim was worth it! At 167,000 miles I have only done routine maintenance. Synthetic Mobil 1 since I got it. Original front brakes, rears replaced only once. Solid, great mpg always. Rated at 22/29 and I routinely exceeed both by 2-3 mpg. Great in snow! CVT has NEVER given me any issues. I’ve towed boats and trailers within the 2700# specified limit without a concern. This car has been a tank and still looks like new. Paint is great, no rust or plastic degradation at all.

2018 Subaru Outback review
I have the 2018 Outback 3.6R Limited, at 110,000 miles I replaced all struts and wheel bearing, the ride still isn’t the best but air pressure in tires kept at 39 psi has improved the ride significantly. I had a 2021 with the 4 cylinder engine and the reason I got rid of it was the cvt is fragile and doesn’t handle much weight or towing plus the screen and push buttons for everything, very distracting when driving and looking for the right soft touch function. I have had much better results going backwards to the 2018 6 cylinder engine and heavy duty cvt. It uses a 5W30 engine oil which is a million times better than 0W20 which honestly is really thin and breaks down quickly.

2024 Subaru Outback review
We currently own the Outback 2024 XT, and it’s a great car to drive. However, its turbo CVT engine does produce a slight lag in acceleration and when slowing down. Just a matter of getting used to. Also had issue with the lift gate button, which broke after only two months in possession. My wife and I are in our 60s, and all our kids have their own families, so thank goodness we don’t have to drive those 8 seater SUVs anymore. This outback has been the best alternative for us.

2024 Subaru Outback review
The acceleration lag that this car has is immediately outweighed by everything else. This car is super smooth and granny sedan comfy, and it has more utility than any equally priced SUV. The roof rails have built-in cross bars that stow, it tows 3500 pounds, and the Harmon-Kardon sound system kicks. It has butt fans, people. Additionally, the aftermarket base is thick, so accessories, customization, and reflashing options abound. The tech is old, the powertrain is old, but you see 300 of them a day for a reason.

2023 Subaru Outback review
2023 Subaru Outback Limited XT. A great station wagon (it’s not really a SUV). Comfortable leather seats, smooth ride and extremely quick with the turbo. If you don’t need seating for eight, you have no need for the Ascent. Same engine and cargo capacity and ground clearance, lower to the ground, faster, better handling and several thousand dollars cheaper. Standard all wheel drive. Full safety suite. 11.6” infotainment system is really closer to 8” as the climate control takes the additional 3.6”. The Harmon Kardon sound system will blow your doors off. Good in car navigation. Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Hands free tailgate. 0-60 in 5.8 on regular gas. Standard roof rails. Even has heated outboard rear seats. If you’re considering a midsize or smaller SUV you owe it to yourself to drive this first.

2015 Subaru Forester review
Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

2025 Subaru Legacy review
I was planning to buy a luxury brand and test drove the BMW 3 series, the Audi A4, and the Lexus ES300. I then, due to reviews on Consumer Reports, tested the Subaru Legacy in it's top form, the Touring XT with a 260 HP engine, and I was blown away. Almost as quick as the BMW but rode smoother and quieter. Not as smooth and quiet as the Lexus, but more fun to drive. The Audi seemed cramped and the dealer was a disappointment. The Legacy interior was the most attractive in my opinion, has 4 wheel drive, a great sound system, and ended up being my favorite of the 4 cars, regardless of price. When you consider how competitive (or better) the Legacy is compared to the other 3 cars, and that I saved $13,000 on the price, it was a no brainer. It's really sad the Legacy is being discontinue, but all my comments also apply to the Outback Touring XT. The Legacy is a great car at a bargain price.

I had a great experience with David Williams at Ourisman Kia Bethesda recently when buying a used Ioniq. He was extremely straightforward, helpful, and great to work with. Highly recommend. Best car buying experience in decades. There was none of the usual (lousy) back and forth, playing games; everything was straightforward with no surprises, no hidden fees, no bait and switch like I've seen at other dealers. I greatly value that. I started on their website looking at one particular vehicle and David answered on chat when I indicated an interest. Before I got too invested he volunteered that there was minor damage on the vehicle that didn't show on pictures. Other dealers would have not said anything and let me come in (a decent drive away) to try to sell me on something else, but David didn't do that bait and switch so I really appreciated that. He had other similar vehicles in stock so I decided to come on in anyways. When I arrived, the vehicle was not only already ready to go, they had put it through their detailing process right before I arrived. David encouraged me to take a longer test drive, and I was able to get a feel for the vehicle in a low pressure situation. He drove with me on my request and was very patient in answering my questions about the car and the dealership. We worked together to find a good deal that benefited both of us and I walked away very happy; I hope David and Ourisman did too. I really appreciate that when we finally started talking numbers, there wasn't that constant back and forth "let me bring it to my manager" dance. It was a very fast turnaround on price negotiation and I'm glad we didn't have any wasted time. Finalizing the deal went smoothly without problems. We've had the car now for a week and it's been great. As I said it's been one of the best buying experiences I've had. A+, highly recommend, would go again. 2017 Subaru Forester review
The Forester is a great value. It is roomy yet extremely nimble. Our average fuel economy is 30mpg with plenty of power. It has great visibility with no blind spots. The all wheel drive works well. It is great when you have to drive in bad weather. My only complaint is dealership service costs seem high, even for routine services. Independent garages have more reasonable costs. There have been no major repairs needed on our Subaru. We were a Honda family ( 20+ yrs) so changing to the Subaru was a big deal. We were not disappointed.

2020 Subaru Forester review
This car is so comfortable! The driver sits up high, with great sight lines in all directions. The seats are comfortable. The features are very intuitive. My car has automatic door locks so when I walk up to the car with my key fob, put my hand on the door handle the doors unlock. It has automatic headlight dimmer which works great. It has plenty of power for freeway acceleration. All wheel drives makes it great in snow. I’m very happy with this car.

Great performance 4 door car for the money (sticker price). I have had mine for three years and have had no issues. Decently quick, handles great, comfortable and fairly luxurious for what it is. Best part is the gearbox and drivetrain.
