The entire team (sales, service, finance, and management) went above and beyond to help us bring home our certified pre-owned vehicle. Our story is, in many ways, out of the ordinary. We live out of state and found our dream Volvo on their website by chance. The sales associate (Jonathan) was responsive and energized. He even hosted a video call where he showed us the car in detail. When an issue came up with the vehicle after we had flown to NYC to pick it up, Kristin Hendrick, personally assisted us and made what could have been a difficult situation easy to understand. We have been loyal customers of Yonkers Honda for many years and that is due entirely to the presence, professionalism, patience, integrity, expertise and kindness of Senior Sales Consultant, Mike Bargallo. He is that rare salesperson who is dedicated exclusively to his customer, not to a quota or a future commission he might earn. We had two Odysseys from a now-defunct dealership in Manhattan and, because our kids were getting older, we were looking to downsize to a CR-V. One day back in 2009 we happened to stop for gas in Connecticut and the man at the pump in front of us (Robert Something) had a new CR-V. We asked him if he liked it. He did, of course, and told us he bought it from Honda in Yonkers. He then raved about his salesman. “You gotta go there and ask for Mike Bargallo. Make sure he’s the one who helps you.The guy is FANTASTIC. I have referred friends, relatives, people from work, and everyone says the same thing: Mike is the best.“ And so we bought our first CR-V from Mike a few weeks later and, boy, was Robert Something from the gas station right! From the moment we walked into the showroom to the moment he handed us the keys, Mike had our back. He still does. And the relationship does not end when you finish signing the paperwork and drive away. We know that he will be "our guy at Yonkers" no matter what kind of issue might arise (nothing ever has) for the duration of the time we have one of their cars. In 12 years of buying cars from him, Mike has never tried to talk us into anything. He goes out of his way to find the exact car we want with the exact features we need and take delivery of it when it's the right time for us, not when it's good for the dealership or for him personally. There’s just no BS with Mike. He's a down to earth, genuinely nice guy who treats his customers with respect... actually, he treats his customers like friends. Over the years, including this one, we have looked seriously at BMW, Volvo, Lexus, Subaru and other comparable mid-size SUVs and we keep coming back to Honda. Yes, because it continues to be a solid, dependable, safe and stylish car but, more than that, our decision to come back to Honda year after year is because of Mike. There are dealerships closer to where we live but the entire team at Yonkers - both sales and service - is so solid, friendly and reliable that there is simply no good reason to buy/lease a new car from anyone else.
2024 Acura RDX review
I have owned my 2024 Acura RDX for 2.5 years and I have totally enjoyed it. I owned a 2022 before this one and they offer the most comfortable and smooth ride that I have experienced. I will by an RDX again if I decide to upgrade. They hold their value. My paint and interior are still in excellent condition.

2023 Mazda CX-5 review
I am delighted with my 2023 CX-5 Signature in the hard-to-find Eternal Blue. I've had it about one year now and it's more than adequate for my driving needs. No, I don't need a rattle-prone pano sunroof. The six-speed non-CVT transmission is just fine. Never need or use(less) the paddle shifters. Performance with regular fuel is just fine. As an "early senior", I don't need huge cargo or passenger space. Only complaints are the Apple CarPlay isn't wireless; and miss the power tilt/telescope steering wheel and power memory exit seat that I had on my unbeloved '20 Lexus NX (which I was glad to get rid of!). All told, I'm a Mazda believer and buh-bye Lexus!

2025 Mazda CX-5 review
I bought a new 2025 Mazda CX-5 Signature before they were gone and no longer available because I really like that this car though not perfect and to some people kind of dated in design and execution but to me is full of good elements that future cars including the 2026 CX-5 will lack. Exterior styling that does not get old quickly and still looks good without being too flashy. A great interior that looks and feels premium with quality soft touch materials throughout. An engine ( Turbo ) and transmission (Not a CVT!!!) combo that makes driving a pleasure. The way the suspension is setup is another thing about this car that makes me want to go for a ride any chance I get. The meaty steering feel , not over assisted and numb. This is a compact SUV that shouldn't feel this enjoyable to drive but it does. You sit a bit higher and taller in the saddle and have a good view ahead and around you with the nice large mirrors and 360 cameras . When my wife is riding next me enjoys the view. The wind shield is not too big and far away and steeply raked which is easier to clean inside and doesn't heat the interior up. The controls some might call old fashioned or retro but as far as I am concerned you just cannot improve on dedicated knobs and buttons for hvac and interor functions and the well placed controls on the steering wheel, drivers door and center consol ( The large control dial and volume knob are perfect!). And who doesn't love a good old shifter with a nice looking leatherette boot at the bottom of it retro but in a good way! Yes ok the the gauge cluster isn't over the top with flashy effects and the infotanment setup and screen size are dated but for me that's a good thing. I don't need too much tech or too much screen, this is more than enough for me, Call me an old fashioned nerd but I prefer books to screens anyday! The Bose stereo sounds good but isn't mind blowing just a good step up from the base unit. This feels like a very well sorted out and put together vehicle. You get in it and drive. No fiddling fumbling and adjusting this and that . You get in adjust your seat and mirrors and go. The pure enjoyment of just how well this car behaves in my hands makes me enjoy driving it. It feels tight and solid with a firm ride that tames rough roads well without being too floaty or harsh and punishing. I think it's a very good balance that rewards the drivers with good driving dynamics and fun. The brakes are solid, competant and feel right from the get go and take no getting used to. The turbo engine is really torquey and doesn't need to be over rev'd to get it to pull. It has a nice sound without sounding silly. Gas milage is not the best but I figured that to be and accept it. The tranny works well with engine. It is smooth and does what a good transmission should do almost invisably with no clunkiness or gear hunting. The CX-5 interior is nice comfortable ( and dare I say somewhat elegant and classy ) the dark Caturra brown nappa leather seats with contrasting stitching and perferations for heating front and back and cooling in the front look beautiful and myself and my passengers find very comfortable. The rest of the interior is mostly black with real wood trim ( Who does that anymore) The interior is quiet with no sqeeks rattles or road noise (so far)! Rear seat room is enough far the average sized person. And the trunk space considering the vehicle size is fine. All cars cost way too much now but what you get for the money I really think when compared to other compact SUV's is a good value and the quality fit and finish (Made in Japan!) doesn"t feel cheap. I only gave the reliability rating 3 stars because this would be better answered in say 5 years. I am a first time Mazda owner and having commited to older (proven) technology in a changing turbulant world ( ICE engine not Hybrid or EV) I can only hope that this purchase plays out well.........Fingers crossed and happy motoring Zoom Zoom!

2025 Nissan Rogue review

2019 Audi Q5 review
The perfect car for our needs: a small SUV with relatively high (4400 lbs) towing capacity. Only the BMW X3 has the same combination. The Q5 is well appointed with high quality materials. It feels very solid on the road, with adjustable driving modes (dynamic, comfort, etc.). It has surprising power for a 4-cylinder engine and surprisingly good fuel economy. We purchased this vehicle used with some remaining factory warranty, which we haven't yet needed--all systems are working perfectly.

2021 Subaru Forester review
Other than battery replacement , car has been amazing ! 1 exception cup holders are located too far aft and require driver to look down to locate cup without removing eyes from road ! This issue has been partially addressed in later years by offsetting passengers holder slightly forward of drivers, but still awkward position ! both should be more forward nearer to dash !

2024 BMW X3 review
Only have been driving the car for a week, but it is clearly the best SUV I have experienced. My wife drives the Mercedes 300 - a fine car as well, but I have always preferred BMY engine performance and handling. The X3 is simply a pleasure to drive.

2023 Mazda CX-5 review
We looked at Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, and Mazda and selected the Mazda CX-5. Honda and Toyota have priced themselves out of the middle-class budget, and Nissan’s Achilles Heel is their very brittle CVT transmission. Mazda is by far the best-looking, has AWD as standard equipment (a $1,200 to $1,500 option on other brands), easy-to-read gauges and dash, nice sound system, soft-touch dash and doors usually found only on “premium” brands, the best price, and the most beautiful factory color on the road: Soul Red. Our family has owned vehicles from all 5 companies, and have been totally happy with our problem-free CX-3. Anyone looking to buy a compact crossover should consider the CX-5.

2023 BMW X3 review
Love it. Car is comfy, quick and the wonderful B58 Twin-Scroll Turbo I6 makes all the right noises! Awesome daily driver. Period! Interior has all of the amenities you could ever ask for. Ride is luxury-oriented but also can grip & RIP through the corners, almost as well as any sports sedan out there pretty much.

2024 Mazda CX-5 review
This is my first CX-5. I love it. Previously I drove a mazda tribute which was a 6 cylinder. I was reluctant to purchase a smaller vehicle with a smaller engine, but I’ve been pleased. My only negative comment is regarding the leg room in the back seat. It’s not great but workable for most average size adults.

2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E review
My first EV car. Not sure if I love this car or the fact that it is an EV. What makes this a bit different from a Tesla is that it still reminds you of a regular car in terms of gear shifting controls and displays. My car is a premium trim, dual motor and long range battery extension, so if you get a lower trim, the experience might be slightly different.
