I am so THANKFUL for Carli here at JC Lewis service. In 2021, we bought a brand new CX5 and drove our way from IL to Savannah. There, I left the new car and my daughter. Being 700+ miles away, I get very anxious about her dealing with "dealerships" and possibly being taken advantage of. Recently the car just "stopped" and had an emergency brake issue. We had the car towed to JC Lewis where Carli and the service team went to work. I cannot tell you how WONDERFUL, PATIENT, UNDERSTANDING, INFORMATIVE, KIND, all the feel-good words that Carli was and made me feel SO MUCH BETTER about my daughter having to deal with this. They had the car for about 3 weeks, provided a courtesy car and made sure to go over everything, made the repairs and then some. There were other issues that arose while they had it and I anxiously waited for a bill that could be in the thousands, but Carli was diligent in making sure anything that was covered under warranty, was. I cannot tell you how much I APPRECIATE her and her constant communication over the past 3 weeks. She didn't have to go that extra mile to put me at ease, as my daughter IS 26 :) but she did, and I am SO relieved. Seeing as this is the only Mazda dealership near my daughter in Savannah, she'll continue to bring her car there for all services. I did a lot of "homework" before we bought our Mazda's and if you're on the fence, Mazda (CX5) is the way to go & JC Lewis Mazda is the place for all your service needs. Thanks again Carli! Our sales person, Malcolm was a great guy. Professional, brought us in, went through what we wanted. Got the vehicles. Test drove both. Make a decision, and in about three hours we were done. I positively HATE car shopping, and the hours upon endless hours of hiking through a field of paperwork 6 feet deep, only to be so exhausted even the drive home in the new vehicle can't register. Chatham Parkway Subaru was so different. We got the paperwork done, made the arrangements, and we were on the road, actually enjoying our new Ascent. What a gem of a vehicle it is. Reminds us a lot of our other previously most favorite vehicle that we both really thought great. We've owned a Subaru previously many years ago. Am glad I took the chance after a lot of nudging to go to another dealership. Chatham Parkway GETS IT....transactions should not suck the life blood out of you. We haven't used the service department yet, but I am very optimistic that experience will equal what we've had thus far. Ask for Philip! I was in the market for a very specific model used car which I happened to find online at Critz BMW. Critz is located about 450 miles away from me in another state and to say I bit nervous about buying a car that I could not see in person first was an understatement, but I decided to reach out to Critz BMw anyways and am happy I did. I was contacted the following morning by Philip Ellison. I expressed my concerns about buying a used car over the phone that I could not see in person first. Philip went above and beyond to try and help alleviate my concerns. You can tell that Philip is not only a car person himself but a straight shooter too. Not only did he take the time to send me over a dozen high resolution photos but also sent me several detailed videos in which he was sure to point all the minor imperfections (which were all normal things one would expect on a used car). The price negotiations were painless, without all the unnecessary games that a lot of car dealerships try which I truly appreciated. We were easily able to reach an agreement on price within 30 minutes. I decided to fly to Savannah and drive the car home instead of having the car transported to me as l wanted to see and drive it before paying for it and Philip with kind of enough to personally come pick me and my son at the airport in person. Once we got to the dealership, you could see that the car was detailed to perfection. Not a single water spot or speck of dust anywhere and it was exact as described oy Philip. He even went as far as to stored inside to keep the weather and element from messing up the detail job before I arrived. He could tell I was excited about buying the car which he said got him excited about having the car ready for me. After a quick test drive, we sat down to complete the necessary paperwork with Nikki in the finance department. In my 30+ years of buying and leasing cars, this was probably the quickest and nicest time! have had to spend with a finance manager in all my car buying experiences. Both Philip and Nikki reviewed some of the various protection plans that they had available for me, but I never felt as if they were being pushy or trying to hard sell me. Being over 50+ years old, I can honestly say that this was the most pleasant car buying experiences I have every had and want to personally thank Philip for making it so easy and pleasant. Even though Critz is 450 miles away from me, I will look at buying from them again when the time comes and would highly recommend that if you are looking to buy from Critz in Savannah, GA, that you ask for Philip.

2024 BMW X1 review
The 2024 BMW X1 is nimble and responsive. It has an excellent memory for self-driving the car to back out of tight parking spots along the path the driver used to get into it. The car feels spacious inside and is easy to get into. My observed hwy mileage is 36mpg @ 75mph and 22mpg in suburban driving. It’s defects are: 1) the driver must learn how to start from a stop to avoid a sluggish pick-up or a sudden forward jerk; 2) the owner’s manual does not include directions for setting up the electronics, so the owner must resort to a complex cryptic in-car system that is difficult to sort through; 3) the built-in navigation system's is hard to use; the owner will resort to Waze or Car Play; 4) the car is bumpy on rough surfaces, and vibrates like a massage unit on washboard.

2023 Hyundai VENUE review
Great little SUV. Bought used with 8000 miles. Since I bought it I've averaged 36.6 mpg. over 14,648 miles. Every review I read it mentioned about its power, I can pass cars at high speed with no problems. Only problem is the storage space when back seats are up. Otherwise, easy to drive and park.

2020 Porsche Macan review
Recently purchased the 2020 Macan GTS, so still in 'honeymoon' phase. That said, no issues to report. Pretty amazing how the vehicle can change personalities. Can be Dr. Jeckyl - smooth, quiet, refined touring car. Click a few buttons and its Mr. Hyde - growling, fast, quick steering tall hatchback that is ready for twisting roads or highway blast. Not encountered a vehicle that does this touring/sport change as well. Another standout for the 2020 is ability to go 'old school' buttons/analog - or modern digital interfaces. Like all the buttons, once you get to know them. Quick and less distraction from road. Rear seat is snug for anyone over 6 foot. Chose this over the Audi SQ5 - but it was a close contest. GTS wins on driving dynamics, but SQ5 is a wonderful luxury experience. Hard to resist the Porsche once you drive it. Does the luxury part pretty darn well too. Wow.

2023 Volkswagen Taos review
Our 2022 Taos is almost 2 years old with about 21K mileage. Very satisfied with our car. For the price point (25K) it provides good handling, a comfortable ride and great interior space for a subcompact SUV. The gas mileage is amazing at over 40 MPG on the highway and about 30 MPG tooling around town. Couldn't be happier!

We had this car 2021 till 'l2025 accumulating 100k miles. FWD and 2.0l. it's super extra reliable. Never had any problems mechanically or electronically. Infotainment system is pretty sluggish tho. Takes ages to boot up and connect to the phone. Also it shuts off the minute you kill the engine. A bit annoying. Also since it was FWD the rear tended to slip a lot on wet surface. Like if you go a bit faster on a curve rear would slip. Probably AWD is a must. But if you looking for agile, dynamic car for a fraction of the cost tlwhich is really reliable this can is for you.

2025 Chevrolet Trax review
Bought to replace a Cruze that was a real road warrior . 2025 Trax 3 cyl does 70 mph plus on trips with 3 adults in comfort . LS model had no rear hatch cover . Bought one off FB Marketplace for $10. Dealer wanted $235. Used the rubber floor mats from the old Cruze and snapped right into place on the Trax for the winter weather . Doing more frequent oil changes because of wet belt setup . Originally wanted a Buick Envista but felt the $21200 Trax was basically the same car for thousands less .

2024 Jeep Compass review
We purchased a 2024 Jeep Compass Limited Elite. This vehicle has far surpassed our expectations for comfort, handling, road noise and quality. There is very little road noise we hear inside the vehicle, and this allows us to keep the radio turned down to a comfortable level. Handling is exceptional and very responsive. The driver safety features of lane guidance, adaptive cruise control (my favorite) and 360-degree backup camera are now features we will not go without after experiencing first hand performance. 2022 Jeep Renegade review
I have a 2022 latitude 1.3 turbo. Bought it with 6 miles July 2022, now has 8k miles March 2023, and not one issue. I have had it in twice for oil change and tire rotation. Fun to drive, 28 mpg, cheap to fill up. Never once had any of the issues others have. I would have liked an additional 12v outlet, and lumbar seat.

I leased this 2017 Encore in 2017 after the lease was up I bought it. Now in 2024 I am just putting tires on it. I put a new battery in last year. That's it! I change the oil. I have read the bad reviews and am surprised. To be fair I drive in town and 6000 to 7000 miles a year.

this is my second time buying from jimmy britt, the first time was jimmy britt chevy out of greensboro and this time it was jimmy britt chrysler dodge jeep ram of statesboro, both times i?ve had great salespeople and overall great experiences. they gave me what i wanted for my trade and were easy to work with as they were able to get me within my budget after some talking.
2022 Jeep Renegade review
I picked the Jeep Renegade in the Trailhawk model because it is the only car in the compact category that also has excellent off roading capabilities. It completely beats out the other "off road" vehicles in its class like the Crosstrek or trailblazer. It also works excellent as a daily driver and great on long highway drives, having way better gas mileage than a pickup or wrangler. No road noise like you get in a wrangler or a truck with big off road tires. I've had this car for a little over a year at this point, with about 7000 miles, and the only thing I can say was any kind of issue was I got warning lights on my dash for the lane sensors, but they were just dirty and a quick wash fixed that problem. I can't say much for reliability just because the car is still so new. I have the leather trim upgrade that you can get with the trailhawk, but even with that the quality of the interior is lacking compared to other vehicle brands at the same price range and category, like the Crosstrek, but looking at Jeep's other vehicles like the Gladiator or Wrangler, it fits right in. Everything does feel high quality. I'm very picky about road noises and rattling panels or vibrations while driving, and I haven't had anything at all yet with this vehicle even when driving on rough roads or hitting bumps. The only reason why I gave this car a lower interior rating is just because of the excessive use of plastic. The exterior is very unique. At first I absolutely hated the blocky look of the renegade, but with all the iconic Jeep stying mixed in and the upgraded look of the trailhawk front bumper, I have grown to really love the way this little SUV looks. The blocky shape gives it extremely good headroom and gives it extra cargo space in the rear. The trailhawk model has armor on the underside to prevent damage by anything you're climbing over when going off road. There are some gaps in the armor that you can fill with available aftermarket parts. I will say that I think the cardboard box aerodynamics are the main reason why the gas mileage is so poor even with such a small engine. With about 55/45 split between in-town and highway driving respectively, on roads with large elevation changes, I do still get 24 mpg combined which is decent. The road handling is also great, the Renegade is a very light car, and even with being a little top heavy it zooms around corners almost like a small sports car. The 1.3l engine is surprisingly torque-y, it took me a little while to get used to being gentle on the throttle, the first few gears are very deep and the tiny turboed engine makes 210 foot pounds of torque so it will launch very quickly until it gets to 3rd/4th gear. The absolute worst and best thing about this car is it's transmission and the way it's programmed. In regular driving, it seems like the transmission has to stop and think about what gear to go to, so swapping gears is a little slow and not as smooth as other cars. At the same time, the transmission is the main reason why this car does extremely, unexpectedly well off road and in poor driving conditions. It will always keep power to wheels that have traction, and so gives impressive control. I have driven this up a mountain trail in the middle of a Montana winter and it felt like a leisurely drive, even purposely drove into tall snow drifts to give myself a challenge and plowed over them without any issue. When I got to the peak in my stock renegade trailhawk the only other vehicle on the peak was a modified, lifted Tacoma with large off road tires that had chains wrapped around them. I'm extremely impressed with how well this compact SUV really does off road. Overall I'm extremely happy with my renegade, and hope to have it for the next decade as a light trail/off road adventure car and daily driver.
