Oil changes cost too much. Other than that and replacing tires and battery which are both costly the car is great. Toyota is by and large a great company. I just wish we could keep costs down

2025 Toyota RAV4 review
What I love-very attractive interior and exterior, super comfortable seats and very adjustable, excellent mpg, ventilated seats cool me off on a hot day, blind spot mirror is very comprehensive. It is smooth and easy to drive. What could be improved-it’s very loud on the inside (wind noise, engine noise, other car noise), it does not have real leather seats and for the price it should be, air conditioner is not powerful, lots of rattling from the ac when on high, CarPlay disconnects frequently. Wish I could drive it with my bike rack on without having to turn off all the safety features. Surely Toyota can figure out how to block a bike rack in the camera.

2024 Toyota RAV4 review
I went from a corolla cross le gas model to a rav 4 hybrid le and there is a major difference in the size and road noise. I love the gas mileage in the rav 4 hybrid. The cabin is very quiet in the rav 4 hybrid. I am glad to recommend the rav 4 hybrid over the corolla cross le gas model.

I have visited this Carmax location several times over the years, but I?ve never actually bought from them. I appreciate their selection and no pressure process. If you prefer used cars like I do, it?s great to go to a Carmax and compare several makes and models in one place and get your trade appraised. This time around I worked with Harold Speights, who did a great job of finding the cars I was looking for. This is harder than it sounds - the cars don?t always get parked where they belong after a test drive, especially on a busy day, so he had to do a lot of walking around. We ended up unable to find the exact vehicles listed online, which is the reason this Carmax doesn?t get 5 stars. But Harold got me into the right things to try out. Once I narrowed down my interests after a few drives at a few different places, he texted me some stock numbers of cars at several Carmax locations with free transfers. I ended up preferring a different vehicle from a different dealer, but that?s not a knock on Carmax or Harold. Having the written appraisal in hand helped me get a better deal. If you are shopping for a used car, Carmax is a great place to go. Only thing I?d change is that Carmax could do a better job tracking where the vehicles are on the lot.
2024 Toyota RAV4 review
I just moved to North Carolina from Illinois and it has not been an easy transition lets just say that. As soon as I pulled into Hendrick Toyota of Apex I was greeted by many smiling faces. Eli and Kristie were helping me as I had an issue with my passenger mirror. Eli explained what I needed to do and Kristie ended up handeling my services that day and got me in and out within the hour just like she said! I will definitely be back!

After purchasing my daughter's GR86, I was promised by the salesperson that window tint would be installed which was part of the deal. More than a month went by, and despite repeatedly following up with my salesperson, I kept getting the same response: "Our service department will call you to schedule an appointment." Unfortunately, that call never came. As time went on, my frustration continued to grow. When I tried calling to follow up, my calls would go straight to voicemail after only a couple of rings, and I felt like I was getting nowhere. It was disappointing because the excitement of buying a new car was being overshadowed by the lack of communication and follow-through. Finally, I decided to call the service department directly, and that's when I had the pleasure of speaking with Billy Robinson in the Make Ready Department. From the moment he answered the phone, everything changed. Billy listened patiently to my concerns, treated me with genuine respect, and immediately took ownership of the situation. He didn't make excuses or pass me off to someone else, he simply said he would take care of it, and he absolutely did. True to his word, Billy had everything arranged and completed the very next day. After more than a month of waiting and getting nowhere, he accomplished in one day. That level of responsiveness, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction is rare these days. Billy Robinson is exactly the kind of employee every dealership hopes to have. He is courteous, compassionate, accountable, and truly cares about his customers. He turned a very frustrating experience into a positive one simply by doing what he said he would do. His outstanding communication and willingness to help restore my confidence in the dealership. Drove this '22 Rav4 throughout the US SW for over 3000 miles in 2 weeks without any problems and averaged 30+ mpg. Went through CO, UT, NV, CA, AZ, NM. Pleasant to drive and certainly comfortable enough. I have no complaints at the moment, and it doesn't have the CVT!

2025 Toyota RAV4 review
Bought my XLE premium FWD RAV4 towards the end of 2025 before non-hybrid powertrains were discontinued. I’m old school and didn’t want the hybrid driving experience or system. Couldn’t be more pleased with the vehicle after a year of ownership and look forward to many years of driving pleasure. Anyone in the market for a similar non-hybrid vehicle-do yourself a favor and pick a 2025 model year RAV4, you’ll be glad you did so.

We recently bought our second Toyota from Don McGill. The first was a 2020Toyota Avalon and the second was a 2024 Toyota Crown. The first purchase went off without a hitch and we were very satisfied. The second car (the 2024 Crown) was purchased and delivered on 12/29/2023 with only one key FOB; I was told me I would get a second key FOB in six months. I subsequently talked to the service department; they promptly ordered one and I received it one week later. I do have an issue with the title department. My credit union is threatening to raise my loan interest rate if they don't receive the title. The only way to satisfy my credit union is to explain the process which I do not understand. The dealer should be more proactive in ensuring that the sales process does not end with delivery. My credit union still hasn't received the title. I am forced to keep calling which shouldn't be necessary.
2023 Toyota RAV4 review
I recently purchased a 2023 RAV4 Hybrid and love the car in general. That said, I have one major complaint. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I was using my iPhone connected to the Multi-media screen through CarPlay, when the iPhone maps app disappeared and I got a splash screen saying “Experience Toyota Drive Connect.” There was no way to exit this screen apart from pulling over and restarting the car and reconnecting the iPhone. I googled this issue and saw various possible solutions, but none worked. I called Toyota and after multiple delays, was told that the only way to get rid of this screen is to purchase a subscription to “Go Anywhere” which includes Drive Connect and Remote Connect. The cost is $15 per month, plus whatever tax you pay in your locale. While Go Anywhere has some nice features, it should be an option, not a mandated purchase to utilize CarPlay. It seems to me that this is essentially extortion, forcing owners to purchase a subscription in order to use CarPlay. This is beneath the high standards of Toyota. I’m sure that Toyota could disable this splashscreen easily should they so desire.

2016 Toyota RAV4 review
I bought my car new Nov 23rd of 2016. I now have 363,000 miles on it and I LOVE it. I drive a ton, all my expenses are my own and this car is the best car I have had. Very low maintenance! My first set of tires made it to over 100,000 miles same with front brakes. My rear brakes made it over 200,000 miles before I had to change them! I fixed the water pump, right side hubs and regular maintenance and that is it! I do regular oil changes and tire rotations at 10,000 miles. I am mostly highway miles. I have been debating more room and getting a Sienna, but I know my Rav is reliable and I am nervous to try something else.

I bought a year old BMW. The price was better than I found at other dealerships. They were prepared to go as slow as I wanted and answer all my questions, but that's not what I wanted. I wanted fast! So after a quick test drive went in and signed the paperwork, while they washed it for me. They let me leave my old car there and drive my new car home. There was a headlight malfunction and they said it was completely covered under warranty. However, because it was a software issue, Carmax said I needed to take it to BMW, but that Carmax would cover any costs. They were true to their word!
2026 Toyota RAV4 review
The RAV4 is the best selling SUV in its segment and it just got a complete refresh for 2026. The body styling is reminiscent of the Camry redesign with its hammer head shark front end. Overall Toyota really knocked it out of the park. Drivetrain is identical to the Camry as well. Bullet proof 2.5 liter inline 4 paired with a hybrid motor. Our AWD example produces 236 instant torque. Very quick. Some of the interior uses low end plastics and that part could be better. But overall this one is gonna be the SUV to even find in summer of 26. My wife’s SE was built in Japan and she loves it. The all new 4.0 Toyota safety sense suite is amazing too. I’m sure it will last as long as the last gen’s did.
