I have bought many vehicles over the past years. It has gotten to the point that I dread going out and even looking at used cars because most the time the dealer does a song and a dance, or they always misrepresent the vehicle. But that was not my experience at Platinum Auto Group. I have been looking for a specific S class Mercedes for some time now. I happened to cut through town to avoid traffic one day when I stumbled upon a S class on Platinum's lot. I quickly just wanted to see if the car had the options that were crucial to me. While on the lot I was greeted by sales rep Chris. Chris welcomed me to their dealer and informed me that they are currently doing a soft opening and that not all their cars are there at the moment. Unfortunately the S class they had on the lot at the time did not have the options needed, but Chris asked me to take 2 mins to come inside and fill out a vehicle request form. I usually don't bother with these, but I figured why not so I gave it a try. Inside I was greeted by the owner Allen who personally took the time to help me fill out the form. He assured me that he will find what I am looking for and to leave it to him, this was March 8th. March 13th comes along and I get a call from Chris that they believe they found my car. However I was in Florida at the time and could not see the car. I told them I would be returning the 20th and would come see it then. Chris said no problem and that they would await my arrival for that day. I saw the vehicle on the 20th and was impressed with it, it was exactly what I was looking for and then some. I left a deposit with Chris and told him that I had to wait for my wife's approval of the color and that she is unfortunately working late hours and won't be able to see the car till Wednesday. On Tuesday around 11 am I spoke to Chris about having the vehicle inspected by a Mercedes Dealership. There was one in Englewood that I have used for service before and wanted to have a complete once over on the vehicle. Chris said he would call me back around noon with an answer. Well noon came and I got a call from Chris, I was expecting them to state that they have no problem with a mechanic looking over the vehicle, but that I would have to arrange a transport to the dealership and cover all costs. Instead Chris tells me that he has dropped off the car at Benzel- Busch, and the car should be done around 2 o'clock. Sure enough I called my service manager and the car was there getting a thorough once over. The car came back with zero errors, all maintenance done on time, and all TSBs performed. No paint damage, or repainting on the car. I spoke to Chris again after he had picked it up and made an appointment for the following day at noon. We got to the dealership around 11:30am where we were greeted by the front desk and given coffee or tea while we waited for Chris. The car was pulled out front all detailed and my wife was in love. I told Chris it is a done deal and that we would like to finance. Chris introduced us to Pat their Finance Manager. Over the years I have been tricked into buying extra protection or had finance managers change the rates on two contracts and try to pull a fast one. I was little apprehensive at first, but Pat really did take care of us. We filled out a brief application for credit, had a approval in 5 mins, and were done with all our Tags, Fees, Registration, Insurance,Temp Plates, and Loan in under 35 mins. Their paperwork is straight forward, Pat never once rushed us when we asked to overlook everything we were signing. By 12:30 pm our temp plate was on the car, our insurance was in the glove box and we were done. Allen greeted me at the car and asked how he did. I told him that he and his team provided me with service from a new car dealership, and that he lived up to everything he promised. Platinum truly is an example of what a used car buying experience should be. If they don't have exactly what you want, just ask.

We were searching for well over several months for a used, specific Volvo XC90 trim package under a certified program. I'm surprised by the review that said there was no follow through. We too were an out of state buyer. The internet based salesperson emailed me regularly, responded quickly, set up a visit and confirmed the visit over the course of the week. She lined us up with a gracious salesperson and he and the sales manager worked hard to make sure they met our numbers.

We absolutely love the styling and design of the all new XC 90. After owning several of them in the past my wife will drive nothing else. Unfortunately some of the same flaws with the old designer still there. Wonderful factory warranty we have had it in the shop multiple times and of course they cannot figure out what is wrong. If the car sits for more than a week or so without being driven the battery is dead. The navigation shows we are driving in the middle of water or field often has no idea where we actually are. Again we took it into the mobile dealer and had several issues addressed these two issues Are still the same. Very disappointed in a 60+ thousand dollar car

This is my second vehicle purchased from Vroom in the last 12 months, and I can't imagine ever buying a used car from a brick-and-mortar dealership again. Going through the process of buying a car sucks. If you actually enjoy it, then I can only assume you like other fun things like paying taxes, unclogging toilets, and papercuts. I was perfectly content with my awesome VW TDI until the whole Dieselgate scandal went down. Even then, I would've bought another VW with my buyout money, until I saw this Ford Fusion Sport. Awesome car, but was it enough for me to switch? It was when I saw the listing from Prestige Volvo for a used, 2017. First thing I noticed is that is was the lowest priced 2017 Ford Fusion Sport on a nationwide search using one of the car apps. The other thing was that it had all the options. Ok, it doesn't have the Active Park Assist, where it parks the car for you. That's fine since I've known how to park a car for years now. But all the bells and whistles, and the lowest price? Had to be a catch somewhere. I sent an email asking for more info, and Tina (AKA Lady Fantastic) was in touch with me almost immediately. She took the time to do TWO video walkarounds of the car. She showed every inch of the exterior and interior, twice. Two times. She did this in a walking boot, having sustained a foot injury while saving some nuns from a group of muggers using her kickboxing skills. Oh, it's true. The listing also had the Carfax readily available to inspect. I asked her to send me a breakdown of the total price, all in. Very standard stuff. Taxes, title, tags, and the $399 processing fee was super reasonable (I've seen dealers with a processing fee of $1000+) No catches. Just a great price, on what was looking like a great car. Savvy me decided to negotiate for the next scheduled maintenance to be done before I agreed to buy. Tina called me and said that it had already been done, AND they put new brakes on its front and rear. I'll just shut up now and hand you my money. We agreed to meet up on a Wednesday evening. Delays caused me to get there a little before 9 pm. They close at 8, and although I am certain everyone wanted to go home after a long day, Tina and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and inviting. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and driving my Ford Fusion home. I had told Tina the day before that after I picked up the car, I was driving straight to White Castle for celebratory burgers. And guess what? She actually plugged it into the GPS so when I fired up the car for the first time, it was ready to take me right there. Yep. Oh, did I mention that I came up from the Washington D.C. area to buy this car? I did because that was the level of service and care I received from Tina and the rest of Prestige Volvo. Let me also mention that they are reimbursing my taxi fare from the airport, AND when I arrived, Tina told me that she accidentally did the calculations wrong and she overquoted me by $90. Most dealers would keep their mouths shut and pocket the money. Not Tina. Top notch, and high class all the way. If you're in the market for a new car and are within a reasonable distance from East Hanover, NJ, take my advice and contact Prestige Volvo and ask for Tina. If you don't, then you aren't very smart and I can't help you. The car's amazing by the way.

My wife and I don't enjoy shopping for a new car. In fact, we usually buy a car and keep it so well maintained that we don???t need to visit car showrooms often. However, our experience with Ron Landstrom at Prestige Volvo was very different from beginning to end. Some background; we initiated contact online and the web liaison, Irene, reached out to us the same day. I explained what type of vehicle we were interested in buying and she provided us a daily inventory update via email. I had to reschedule several test drives and Irene accommodated the rescheduling, no problem. FYI, we were trading in our 2013 Infiniti JX 35 and Prestige provided a sight unseen trade-in valuation. Our Infiniti was in excellent condition and the dealership honored the sight unseen valuation. I went in alone for a test drive on a Wednesday because, if my wife doesn???t like the salesperson, it will kill any potential deal. Ron and I talked for about 20 minutes and I prayed that my wife wouldn???t hate him. Before a test drive, I told Ron I would be right back. My wife and I returned an hour later and Ron was very busy and fortunately very good at multitasking. He arranged several test drives, then answered all questions clearly. Ron wasn???t pushy, which is key with us. Afterwards we went home to talk it over. My wife liked Ron Landstrom. She said he was a consummate professional. I agreed. We leased-- which I have never done before--a Volvo XC90. Ron managed all the financing info by phone and we picked up the vehicle two days later. Seamless. Also thank you Pat! We felt like we were treated fairly, respected as people and that our business was appreciated. Don???t ever change!

I've been a loyal Volvo owner for over twenty years. The office admin & sales personnel that I interacted with (Todd Garno - sales) made my purchasing decision an easy one. They were outstanding & I was extremely pleased with the value of my 2012 Volvo S60. However, an unexpected problem did come up three weeks after my purchase. One of the cells in my car battery went bad making it impossible to start the car by simply turning on the ignition. Instead I needed several jump starts over the course of several days to start the car. When I brought the car in to to Prestige Volvo (the dealership) to have this issue rectified, Todd (my salesman) interceded on my behalf to ensure that I received a new battery at no cost even though the was no extended warranty coverage for the battery. This service was certainly appreciated!

I leased a 2016 S60 to replace my 2013 S60 (lease was ending). I live about 40 miles away from Prestige, so at first it wasn't my go-to dealership. But after my local dealership, along with the one where I leased my 2013 S60 pretty much refused to deal with me until my lease was up I turned to Prestige. And what a great turn of events it turned out to be! First, I reached out to Jay Rosen (who worked on my car before) and he replied right away saying: wait for a call, we'll take care of you. Then, less than 30 minutes after, Matt Haiken called me and we made a deal on the phone in less than 10 minutes. That was 4 months before my lease was up. The car I wanted needed to be a special order, because I wanted certain packages/options that are just never available together otherwise. Fast forward about 3+ months after the order - and I was picking up my car. The process was smooth with no surprises (no extra charges, no hassle - the payment was exactly what we had agreed upon with Matt 3 months before). Matt did the paperwork himself (about 10-15 minutes overall, because I spent some time deciding which protection plan to buy). Matt introduced me to Ron Landstrom, who took care of everything else: lease return, insurance information confirmation, plates, etc. All in all, this was the most pleasant experience I've ever had buying a car. The most important thing for me during this whole process was that for the first time I dealt with people who knew the product inside out. I respect that a lot. And everyone kept their word every step of the way. There's no question that the next Volvo lease I get, after this one ends, will be from Prestige. P.S. Dealing with Matt was so great, that I'll be considering getting a Kia (his other dealership) to replace my Hyundai Sonata in a couple of years. Just so I could deal with him, because I know it'll be a great deal and a very pleasant experience.

From the comfortable seat, the modern ?cockpit? dash layout, to the get up and go under the hood... this car has it all. No Stone was left unturned on this redesign of the XC90. As a long time Volvo owner, the design team hit this one out of the park!

My XC60 stalled on Rte 80 on way home from work. Jay Rosen got call at 6:03 pm notifying that tow truck would be delivering çår to dealership. He stayed on till 7 pm (tow truck arrived) and secured a 2016 Volvo as a loaner during my repair. This was above and beyond the call of duty and greatly appreciated. Now i am not normally one to write a review, but the service at Volvo cars of Queens was just so absolutely pronominal i had too! My 2003 XC90, which i have owned since new has been like a literal family member to me and my kids and even our dog! When the check engine light came on and the car began to run incredibly poor and the transmission felt like it was slipping me and my wife thought this might be the end of probably one of our dearest family members. We had the car towed into the service center where the valets were quick to greet me and get me written up. After i was introduced to our service adviser, Tammi, who assured us our vehicle was in good hands. About a week later, i found myself in the area and decided to check in and see what the scoop was on our car, To my surprise, Tammi and the tech working on out car, Joe were both at the counter discussing my car. Turns out they were about to call me and i had walked in at just the right time. This is the part i love more then anything, i was able to speak directly to the tech, who came off as very well informed and articulate in how he spoke about our car and Volvo's as a whole. Now the tech, Joe, was quick to explain our issue to be a failed TCM computer for the transmission. He told us that it was common with our cars to see them fail due to heat a moisture getting inside and that the new one he would be installing would be and updated part to prevent this from ever happening again in the future! I was ecstatic! not just because what i thought was a bad issue was just a 600 dollar fix, but that i felt comfortable with the way it was explained. I got my car back 100 percent working like a new machine. Im glad i had the pleasure to deal with both Joe and Tami. i also ave an oil change coming up on the horizon and i cant wait to be back! Thank you again guys!!! you guys rock!

I bought a 2016 XC 90 T6 Momentum new from the dealer in Jan 2016. I loved it so much in the beginning. It was smooth and quiet and I knew it was one of the safest cars out there. I have 3 kids and we used it as our primary car for family vacations, visiting family out of state and local everything. I am a true soccer mom. But gradually over the al most 3 years we had it it was one thing after another. Some small some major. Tons of recalls and updates. I love over an hour away from the dealer and they were great about getting me a loaner car. But I basically took a full day and sometimes two out of my week to drive it there, wait on it or go do some shopping for a day while it was fixed or updated. Several times I had to leave it for more than one day. Air conditioner never worked good. Was super loud. Defrost only worked on max and was too noisy. Engine would skip out and had the spark plugs serviced or replaced multiple times. The most annoying was this rattle in the front passenger door that sounded like something was loose in there. When you at in that seat it made yo nuts on a longer trip. I asked to have that fixed and after checking it out for a few hours they said after 12k miles that wasn't covered and its would be my own bill. This was my husbands last straw. But I still tried to hang on.IT also had a leaky coolant hose once while my husband was over an hour away at a soccer game with kids and it broke down on the side of the road and had to be towed. I had to go get him and we wasted an entire day. the Biggest issue was the engine light came on multiple times. Each time I would take it in and a few times they said it needed spark plugs and also that they were awaiting a service update from Volvo and actually didn't know how to fix it! while the light was on the engine continued to perform less and less powerful and finally the warranty went off at 50k miles and I was at daughters senior photo shoot an hour away and it smelled awful of smoke and burning. I had to take it back to dealer and they found a hose was leaking coolant again. But engine light was still on and I didn't feel safe driving it. I wrote to Volvo Corp. and complained that now I that the light was on all the time how do I know when a new problem arises that it isn't a new issue? and it isn't covered under warranty anymore so it had to be fixed. They replaced fuel injectors spark plugs AGAIN and said they did a lot of work on it and it was covered. Which I was happy for. I had a new loaner for almost 2 weeks. My husband and I were just over it and finally traded it in on an Audi Q7 this weekend. They need to get this car improved. Maybe the 2017 or 2018 models are better.

On the spur-of-the-moment we decided to trade-in our 2012 S80 for a new S90. Our S80 was in the shop at Smythe to have a bent rim repaired after an encounter with a pothole. We looked at the inventory on Smythe's website and called the sales department. Fortunately for us Deborah Amster answered our call and voila - in a couple of hours we had negotiated for a 2018 S90 Inscription model! Two days later in a snowstorm we returned to Smythe and Deborah delivered the car, She set up and explained all the bells and whistles to make the computerized car be as close as possible to the 2012 model. Happily we drove home. We had a few questions about the Apps and icons on the instrument panel which she explained over the phone. After a couple of weeks driving it, we returned to Smythe to have the plates put on and collect the title. She "fixed" the Sirius favorites, answered a few more questions and again we happily drove it home. Dealing with Deborah and Smythe was a pleasure. Easiest car purchase ever.. We;re in our mid/late 70's and this will probably be our last car. We may not purchase another, but look forward to having the excellent service department take care of everything. I???m not one to write many reviews but I feel so strongly about the trusted, quality service and the impeccable team of people at Smythe Volvo; I want to share my experience with those who are looking for a trusted dealership since purchasing a car is a major decision. After my daughter totaled my 2011 C70 purchased at Smythe (I loved that car) I went back to Smythe because they have always done me right. I asked Robert the pre-owned sales manager to find a comparable replacement and that???s what he did. Volvo had discontinued the C70 model (convertible) after 2013 so this car is hard to find since there aren???t many out there. Robert purchased a 2012 with no pressure to buy. It was very close to everything my last car had plus more. Needless to say Robert did a lot of work searching and we were in communication throughout the process. Thank you Robert. Brian in sales helped with the transaction and all the details needed. I can???t say enough about Brian. He is the kind of guy you feel as if you have always known. I was very comfortable dealing with him and genuinely felt that he was looking out for my best interest. He was on top of everything and we communicated via text which was an additional convenience. He even texted me after I got home with my new car to see how my drive home was and made sure I knew to reach out to him if I had any issues. If you decide to visit Smythe ask for Brian. You will be in good hands with him. I say that without reservation. There is a second reason why I returned to Smythe to purchase my second car and that is the consistent, quality service I have always received. Throughout these past years with my other C70, I have been dealing mainly with Dennis in service. He is so very knowledgeable. Anytime I had a question or issue in the past, he was always so good with explaining the mechanisms of the car and what the problem was, no matter what it was. I have always been happy with the quality, friendly service that Dennis has consistently provided. Thank you, Dennis. For this reason and because I realize my car is not a new car (although it feels that way) I had purchased the highest warranty package possible since the car was not new enough to meet the pre-owned certified status. I did this for peace of mind. I highly recommended considering this and I am confident I did the right thing because of the quality service I receive at Smythe Volvo. Thank you, Kevin in finance for guiding me though that process. All in all, as you can see from the other shining reviews that this dealership is valued and trusted. This is our 4th Volvo. All three of the previous Volvos were great cars and this one is even better. We have not experienced any problems with this car. It is well made! We feel safe and secure when driving this car. The safety and convenience features are great.

I have had 11 Volvos bought or leased since 2006, beginning with an S60 R sports sedan and used at least 3 different dealers in NJ. I am in the market for another w/ the 'Pull Ahead' program, but actively shopping now. Been to at least 5 in NJ an d1 in Pennsylvania and Smythe by far has been the most accommodating and honest. My last 2 Volvos, an XC90 and now S60 have been from Smythe. I've been speaking with Ashley w/ whom I leased my last S60 and both Kevin and Sean helped seal the deals. However, I have called twice after 5 PM and spoken with Eric Kulawczyk, with whom I've never met, yet he was courteous, knowledgeable, and even though he knew I'd worked with Ashley - and I'm pretty sure he would not get the commission, he spoke with me in detail about my situation, and on both occasions passed the information on to Ashley as a colleague-not as a competitor. This is very professional. I could not be more impressed. It says a lot about this dealership and has a profound influence on where I will look for my next Volvo S60.

I can tell you, without hesitation, this was by far the best car shopping experience I have had. Throughout my car shopping journey, Kyle really took the time to understand and work with me on what I was looking for, needs I had (multiple kids, dog), and options to consider. Overall, Kyle is a genuine person, someone you can relate to during the process, which ultimately led us to buying from Smythe. But not just Kyle, everyone we met and worked with at the dealership was great, with a 'family-oriented' approach to all conversations.
