Toyota isn’t changing much on its just-refreshed Camry mid-size sedan for the 2026 model year, but it is adding a couple of new options for buyers who want their Camry to pack a bit more style. The 2026 Camry will now offer a Nightshade Edition, which is a mid-level black-accented trim. Additionally, there’s a new exterior color: Dark Cosmos, a hazy blue offered on all but the base LE trim and the new Nightshade Edition.

What Does the Nightshade Edition Include?

The Nightshade Edition builds on the equipment offered on the SE grade and adds 19-inch gloss-black wheels and badging; it also paints many trim pieces in glossy Midnight Black Metallic, including the rear spoiler, grille, rear lower diffuser, mirror caps, door handles, antenna, air curtains and side canards. Only three colors are offered on the Nightshade: Ice Cap (white), Supersonic Red and (in case you want the full blackout experience) Midnight Black Metallic.

Inside the Nightshade Edition, you’ll find black faux-leather-trimmed seats with white accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, leather-wrapped shift knob and aluminum pedals. The Nightshade Edition comes with a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Otherwise, the Camry isn’t changing anything for 2026. As with the 2025 model, the 2026 Camry features a long list of standard safety and driver-assistance features, including blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane departure steering assist, automatic high beams, and forward collision avoidance with pedestrian detection.

Powertrain Specs and MPG

The Camry will continue to offer its LE, SE, XLE and XSE trim levels alongside the Nightshade Edition, all of which are offered with front- or all-wheel drive. The sedan went hybrid-only when the current generation debuted for the 2025 model year, packing a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a two-motor hybrid system and continuously variable automatic transmission. All in all, that powertrain is good for a total of 225 horsepower in FWD form or 232 hp with AWD.

Though official EPA estimates are not yet available, Toyota expects fuel economy should remain the same for 2026, as well, with the Camry getting up to 53/50/51 mpg city/highway/combined in its most-efficient LE trim with FWD. The new Nightshade Edition shares its fuel-economy figures with the SE and XLE trims, however, getting 48/47/47 mpg with FWD and 46/46/46 mpg with AWD.

What Is the 2026 Camry’s Release Date and Pricing?

The 2026 Camry hits dealerships starting in the summer, and pricing will be announced closer to the start of sales.

  • My first Toyota, I’m very impressed with the smooth ride

My first Toyota, I’m very impressed with the smooth ride and upgraded options and interior finishes in the 25’+ models. I decided to go with the 26’ XLE and I am not disappointed! I’m in the Midwest so it’s very cold in the winter and the cold weather package has been great! Definitely go with the 12.3” multimedia screen, it’s a huge upgrade from the 24’ and older models. Looking forward to 300k+ miles one day.

  • I had a 2021 Camry and loved it.

I had a 2021 Camry and loved it. I got the 2026 refreshed Camry se with the 19 inch rims and blackout package in heavy metal color. I love it so far. But the price was alittle more than I’d like to have paid. My 21 was $28. This one $32k. But it is a hybrid and gets 45+ mpg and a few dealer upgrades so I guess it’s fine. Plus it’s a Toyota so it’ll last forever.
