I bought a 2019 Tacoma with 89k.
I bought a 2019 Tacoma with 89k. So far performance is fantastic and can definitely experience the quality build. This has made me skeptical of the reviews about poor engine build and transmission problems like hunting for gears. Can't pretty much dispel the proven track record of the 2019 as one of Toyota best build of the- Purchased a Used car

Bought a used 2019.
Bought a used 2019. 40 days after purchase truck gets knock in engine. Looking at 11k engine replacement as of now or 19k rebuild. Seems to be a big issue with 2GKRS engine (code could be a little off). Have seen multiple trucks with this engine having cylinder Fail at what toyota owners call low miles. Everything from 35k mile.- Purchased a Used car

Bad Engineering leads to Bad trucks.
Well this is a review on a 2021 but all the reviews on the 2019 are the same. The never ending shifting of a over geared transition, NO torque to speak of, Overly loud in the cab, carrier bearing not stiff enough so vibration when under a load or going up hill. Toyota Engineers: Put the 5speed transmission back in, add a twin- Purchased a New car

Disappointing Performance
When I bought my 2020 Tacoma V6 (3.5L) 4x4 in December 2019 I quickly noticed the truck lacks low end torque. The truck struggles accelerating uphill, especially up steep mountain roads and often downshifts into 4th gear, or even down to 3rd gear. Iāve installed 4:88 gears and Tuned the the vehicle which helped considerably,- Purchased a New car

Very stylish design, perfect size
Rims too small should be at least 18ā Engine acceleration weak, need more power Compared to the other trucks in its class the engine does not seem as powerful- Purchased a New car

Should Have Bought 4x4 with 6 foot bed
This truck gets crappy gas mileage. Supposed to get 16 mpg city 24 mpg hwy but really only gets about 12-14 mpg in city and 18 to 20 mpg on hwy with crappy ethanol gas. When I was using no ethanol gas in great state of FL I was getting 16 to 18 mpg in city and 22 to 24 mpg on hwy. But I am now in CA so I am getting crappy- Purchased a New car

Well let's see, first the fam transmission shifts all the time ,cant touch the pedal without it shifting,,an they changed the front sensor in the grill, an did the fuel pump an my fuel mileage went from 17-18 mph,to 11-13mpg .an they said it was my fault,,so the xxxx with this truck never again. Once the xxxx truck is paid for- Purchased a New car
