2022 Toyota Tacoma review: Our expert's take
What Is the 2022 Toyota Tacoma?
The Tacoma is a mid-size pickup truck that offers a choice of two cabs and can seat up to five. A 159-horsepower, 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine is standard, while a 278-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 is available. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, and the V-6 can have an optional six-speed manual. Rear- and four-wheel-drive configurations are available, and Tacoma rivals include the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Ranger and Nissan Frontier.
What’s New on the 2022 Toyota Tacoma?
The Trail Edition gets a lifted suspension, 16-inch bronze wheels with Goodyear tires, a unique grille and additional cargo box storage. The TRD Pro, meanwhile, gets an even greater suspension lift, forged-aluminum upper control arms and new wheels.
