2020 Mercedes-Benz Metris review
Purchased new a month ago, very active weather since. Driven to NYC in snowstorm and over the mountains to Pittsburgh in ice storm. Handling and stability were awesome considering such a high profile vehicle. A lot of active safety and stability features. Interior appointments and infotech could be more up to date, but the basics (Bluetooth and USB) are there- acceptable as its mission as a cargo van. Plenty of payload and towing capacity for its size- quite maneuverable and serviceable with rear wheel drive. Low end torque for confident acceleration. Cloth seats with manual adjustments are comfortable, a lot of hard plastics-as expected in a work van. Got a good price, great trade in offer, and a low APR with MB Financial. MB is making a push to promote their truck lines in the USA with their new Charleston plant, they will give Ford a run for their money.
About cargo vans
Which cargo van has the best MPG?
The Chevrolet City Express has the best MPG among traditional internal combustion cargo vans and offers up to 24 MPG city and 26 MPG highway for a combined rating of 25 MPG. The Toyota Prius has the best MPG amongst cargo vans with hybrid powertrains, reaching 51 MPG city and 48 MPG highway for a combined rating of 50 MPG.
These figures are based on EPA mileage ratings and are for comparison purposes only. The actual mileage will vary depending on the selected vehicle model year, trim, driving conditions, driving habits, vehicle maintenance, and other factors.
Which cargo van has the longest range?
The Chevrolet BrightDrop 400 has the longest range among cargo vans and can travel up to 296 miles on a single charge depending on electric motor and battery options.
EPA-estimated range is the distance, or predicted distance, a new plug-in vehicle will travel on electric power before its battery charge is exhausted. Actual range will vary depending on model year, driving conditions, driving habits, elevation changes, weather, accessory usage (lights, climate control), vehicle condition and other factors.
