2002 Chevrolet Corvette review
It truly is an American dream car... fast, reliable, easy to maintain, quick response, surprisingly good gas mileage better than my Nissan XTerra, and most of all very affordable sports car in the market. Most maintenance can be done by an average DIYer and there's a glut of after market parts available everywhere. I have a convertible triple black and it gets admired every time I'm on the road. This is my first Corvette and with my age, probably not my last.

2023 Chevrolet Corvette review
Update from Vette Guy of Tucson, Az. I received my replacement Z-06 convertible almost exactly 2 months from the date I ordered it. It arrived exactly as ordered: Mist Red with Natural interior, Z07 Handling Package, Visible Carbon Fiber Big Aero Package, Carbon Fiber Wheels and Racing Seats. I have 800 miles on the car, so far no problems. I plan on racing the car in the September Silver State Challenge Ely, Nv. open road race. I raced the 2023 Z06 there in May, great race try it! I'm also attending the Z06 driving school in Pahrump,Nv. I did the Z51 school last year, highly recommended! Overall a big Thumbs up to Watson Chevrolet for keeping their word on getting me a replacement Z-06!

Saw a 2017 Grand Sport Collector Edition 5 years ago and had been searching all over Creation for one since. In October last year I finally found a GSCE convertible in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and raced down to grab it. Traded in my 2016 'Laguna Red/ Kalahari top 'vette which I loved ...but like girlfriends - you can't keep them all. My GSCE is absolutely TERRIFIC!

2018 Mercedes-Benz SL 450 review
Great GT. Very comfortable. Excellent performance. Super good looking. Would buy again. Is the 3rd SL we've owned and, is likely, THE best one of all. Doesn't have that V8 sound but at $20K less in price, we'll accept that . . . in a heartbeat! I.e. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and 107 MPH in the standing 1/4 mile is plenty quick enough!

Will recommend Nick Renzi to be a salesmen to contact for a car purchase!
2002 Ford Thunderbird review
In 2002 they sold over MSRP adjusted for inflation @$54K in todays money- pricier than the 2002 Corvette and sold like 30,000 that year. I think that new car buyer had to probably be searching for the 1955 Thunderbird experience to shell out that kind of cash, and most people born on the 60’s and 70’s just didn’t understand that appeal. Oddly, the demographic that did BABIED their cars, kept up maintenance, have all the original tools and covers (just try and find that T-handle wrench for the hard top for example) when you get lucky enough to get a shot at buying one of these babies cars you’ll find they’re sharp and quick, amazingly so despite what people someone lent one to to write about said 20 years ago. Shod with 17inch tires 🛞 and solid suspension, people can complain about the horsepower being light, but stomp it and it will jump, zoom and weave solidly with the best of them. My drive home from buying this car was a blast. Will other sports models eke out slightly better speed, power and performance over these 20 year old T-birds? Sure, why not. Does it matter if you’re not at Road Atlanta? No. For me, this a sleeper sports car that’s about to bust onto the scene and see its reputation finally living up to the 2002 Car of the Year Award Motor Trend gave it. I think you need to find one of these babied sweethearts like I did. It’s a blast to find a good one and discover what an under rated blast it is to drive. Can’t really call it super nimble, but I respect mines solid ride and reasonably quick response & rocket like performance. The incredibly clean lines scream style visually and I suggest that a 2 tone leather optional interior is worth an extra $1K (over the basic. $11-12 K value) a hard top/rack/tonneau cover intact is worth another grand. ($13-14K total seems fair generally for a babied one). Check the rubber suspension parts underneath (inside the front wheel well behind the tire) is the easiest one to check quickly for rot w/o getting under the rear).

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray review
On December 10th, 2024, I purchased a red 2015 Corvette Stingray Convertible 3LT from Country Chevrolet in Warrenton, Virginia. I have purchased 26 new and used cars in my life, and I have to say this was by far the best buying experience I have ever had in my life. My first car was a new 1980 Corvette, and I evolved into planning for my last car to be a red corvette convertible. After much research, lots of shopping, and numerous test drives, I found this car listed on-line at Country Chevrolet at a listed price in the range I was looking for. I called and set up a test Drive for the wife and me. We drove up to the dealership and noticed one or two folks outside who immediately said hi, welcomed us to the dealership and went to get the salesman for our test drive. The environment at this dealership was more welcoming than any Chevy dealership I had ever been to. When Kirk Hughes, our sales consultant introduced himself, we could clearly see we had found at great person to work with. Kirk is friendly, professional, and an absolute expert in corvettes and cars in general. Kirk is by far one of the best salesmen I have ever met. I consider myself a car person, as I enjoy buying, selling and talking about cars. I also perform much of the simple maintenance tasks like changing fluids, brakes and normal maintenance items. Kirk is truly knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk to. After being at the dealership for a bit, I bumped into Kevin Bearce, another sales consultant and person we knew. He is another unbelievable friendly professional and a true joy to talk to. With sales folks like Kirk and Kevin, I would recommend Country Chevrolet to any and everyone, as they clearly only hire the best of the best. Kirk had three surprise visits by existing customers during our time shopping, and Kevin jumped in without skipping a beat, to assist in what turned out to be our purchase of the corvette. The finance consultant, J. C. Welch, quickly assisted in finalizing the sale at a price I considered fair. He too was friendly and professional in all. My whole experience at Country Chevrolet was completely different than my previous experiences buying cars. The atmosphere and attitude of the people was friendly, upbeat and caring. This tells me that the management and ownership of this dealership sets high standards for their people, and the result is great buying experience for a customer like me. 2024 BMW M240 review
I did careful reviews of this model as well as the 4 Series. I was really looking at the 2023 4 Series 2Dr Coupe. I decided to go with the 2024 M240I because ... 1. it's a two door. I liked what I was seeing with the professional/owner reviews for the 2023 model year. And 2. I bought this as the last new car I will buy and as a reward to myself for a life well lived and jobs well done. I got the Portimao Blue Metallic Cognac Interior. I didn't pay for the add-on's that dealers like to charge. I only paid for what I had too. Do your homework on this. Will save thousand if you do. Some emails, couple of phone calls and the deal was done. Now, down to my opinions of this car.... I didn't really think I would like the run flats ... but, not bad at all. Like any tire, depending on the road surface, they can either be loud or quite. For the most part, quite. Add to that the build quality of BMW and I have a quite riding car. When the door closes, it does it with a solid "this door is closed" sound. Only other thing I will add about the tires ... I will get a donut spare. Don't like not being without it, run flats not withstanding. The interior is very well done I think. Everything is right there for you to get to without having to stretch for it. The IDrive 8 is very easy to work once you get it sorted the way you want it. Seats are very comfortable. Heated seats warm up nicely in cold weather ... so does the steering wheel. Sound system is great. I really like the fact that BMW kept the control wheel for the IDrive 8 system and didn't go full on touch screen. Same with buttons on the steering wheel. Real buttons. Another thing that I thought I wouldn't like was the toggle for the gear selector. Not a issue at all. Given the small interior for the 2Dr Coupe, the toggle works out well. A stalk selector would have been like a black eye. Engine response when you put your foot on it is right there. I've not noticed any turbo lag at all. Maybe due to the M240I being a 6 and not a 4. Power is there when you need it. My MPG so far has been about 26.5 in town. Was over 30 mpg on the highway/interstate. Having to use premium is not a factor for me. Knew that going in before I bought the car. For the cost of this car, spend the money and use the premium grade. Visibility hasn't been an issue at all. The tech is great. Works very well and is easy to set up the way you want it. The back up sensors were at first a bit annoying, but I got used to them fairly quickly. Loving the heads up display. So far, I've got no complaints.

2011 Maserati GranTurismo review
Gorgeous Pininfarina body with Ferrari built engine and Maserati history makes it pretty compelling as a second hand purchase... a steal imho. My wife wanted my exotic to be an automatic this time around and I still have a tallish 13 year old at home so I needed real rear seats. The interior is on par or better than my Ferraris of old. Performance betters my Lamborghini Countach 5000QV in all categories (I had the rear wing which slows top speed) and it rides great unless you hit the 'sport' button which opens the baffles for great exhaust music but also tightens the suspension a bit. Due to COVID19 I have yet to take it on a long road trip, but pleasure rides have been fun. It is a 'GT' and not a full on sports car, so the high 4 sec 0-60 is plenty fast. I love the trident inspired wheels as well, subtle and stylish. It is a pretty big car being based on the Quattroporte's wheelbase. That makes it nice to drive on our freeways too. I think it is a great combination of grace and speed. I also think as the last of naturally aspirated Ferrari built V8s they will eventually be worth more than I paid. Originally I was looking at used Aston Martin V8 Vantages but their auto-manual was too jerky despite that car's gorgeous shape. The added useable 2+2 seating and true ZF auto with paddle shifts sealed the deal. I have not had any mechanical issues so far, but also haven't driven it very much due to COVID19 lock down. That said, my Ferraris in the past never gave me much trouble, so I expect it will be a non-issue.

Went to look at an 02 Porsche 911. Been looking around a while to find this generation/style of the 911. Came across a this particular car on the Internet. I knew it had to be somewhat decent of a car if Porsche of the Main Line had it on their lot. Made an appointment with the sales rep Brett Hagen to see the car. Brett was an amazing. He was upfront and honest with a few details about the car that needed repairing. We went out on a test drive and I was hooked! We negotiated a deal including service to get the car up to spec. The car was then handed over to a phenomenal tech named Christopher Wise. Not only did he expertly fix all the issues with the vehicle. He went above and beyond fixing other details of the car that were not part of the deal. By the time he was done, the car was near perfect, especially for its age. Brett and Chris made my Porsche buying experience great. My 911 was by far the least expensive Porsche they had on the lot. (I was surrounded by dreamy $100k - $200k Porsches and Lamborghinis) Brett, Chris, and the rest of the dealership treated me as if I was purchasing a new car. Not one single detail was missed from the buying experience. I would highly recommend Brett and Porsche of the Main Line to anybody looking for a new or used dream car.
