You Get the Best Only After Experiencing the Worst

Prelude: My husband and I spent the better part of 4 Saturdays researching cars (We were part of VW's Diesel-Gate) and wanted to make sure we did our due diligence when it came to selecting our next car. We spent a great deal of time at another Hyundai dealership and thought we would be purchasing our car from them. On the day assigned to pick up the car, surprise! The price was higher, the rates were higher, there was nothing they could do for us, they didn't have our car on the lot. It was like going into a time warp. The salesperson was half engaged and gave us half information.....After about 1.5 hours, we decided to hold off on making any purchasing decision because, quite frankly, we were surprised, annoyed and frustrated. On our way home, while grumbling about what happened, we decided to "just stop in Clarksville to see what the Hyundai dealership there had...." Actually, we went back and forth on that decision, but ultimately, we ended up going to the Clarksville Hyundai dealership, still both frustrated and in a bad mood. THE CLARKSVILLE EXPERIENCE: We drive in, get out of our car, and who should immediately walk toward us with a big smile on her face and her hand extended? Jessica Patterson. Friendly, warm, engaging, Jessica asked what we were there for, listened to our sad, little story and proceeded to usher us inside. We sat down and within minutes had a complete worksheet printed out (THAT didn't happen at the other dealership...), along with price incentives, options, ideas AND even though they didn't have the car on the lot, she located one and promised to have it to us within 1 hour. She worked her Southern charm on us and the deal. The deed was done. Jessica is personable, but most importantly, knowledgeable. She's been awarded Top Salesperson twice, and she's been at the dealership just six months. So that tells you something -- she's a person you want help from. Her demeanor is calming, she's professional, but not stuffy and she follows up with you. The car we purchased didn't have a cargo cover, which was something that we wanted and Jessica jumped right on that! We had it in less than a week. That's service. I guess the point is that my husband and I did our due diligence and were quite willing to purchase from the other dealership-but our experience was the worst. But then we picked ourselves up, checked out Clarksville Hyundai and experienced THE BEST. Jessica. As for financing: Oliver Hong did his job with efficiency, enthusiasm and electronically. We financed the car through Hyundai and he made spending lots of money nearly painless.
