Bought this car and took off for a 2000miles trip so learned along the way, Not a speed demon but enough to get into traffic and gas mileage is great...over 30 on highway. my only complaint was I couldn't see during a bad storm because the center screen was so bright it was blinding me and had to turn it off. I have over 15000miles on it and owned for over a year and I would buy another one,

2025 Subaru Forester review
My first Subaru although each of my kids had a used one as their first cars. Very well made, It is quite comfortable but I wish the seats went up a little bit more. I bought the Premium model and it has everything you could ask for. Handles great, has more than enough oomph, and I am averaging around 26.5 mpg in mostly city driving. Took a 200 mile out and back trip, and averaged 34.8 mpg. I will certainly buy another Subaru when it is time, usually every 2-3 years.

My radio module went out on my traverse. I went to the dealership on SI and paid a diagnostic fee. I was told the cost for the repaid would be approximately $1800. I paid for the part , dropped my car off about 2-3 weeks later when part arrived only to be told they ordered the wrong part and the part i need is on back order since January. I requested a refund and received it. I then got in touch with this dealership and realized i have an extended warranty on my car and this job would cost me $100 for my deductible. They told me they’d do a search with other dealerships to see if anyone had the part in stock ( SI dealer did the same with no luck). A day later I received a call back and my part was delivered to them from another dealership. My car was repaired quickly and the service guys were very helpful and pleasant. It pays to look at other dealerships because clearly the relationship between dealerships is different. Im one very happy customer and will definitely be driving to NJ for all my car maintenance.

This was reassuring, given all the new technology in the 2025 Forester. It is clear that he is very knowledgeable about the car and because of that knowledge, seems to genuinely like it. A lot! December 26,2025 (Pending Snow Storm) One of the most overused phrases from a car salesperson is : “Our Service Department is the BEST!”. A pending snowstorm, like everyone else I depend on my car too much! Unfortunately, it’s towards the end of the work day and it’s an issue I can’t avoid. We all have certain family and friends that you have on “speed dial”. This is the sentiment I hold for Jamie Nussbaum and his wonderful staff at East Hill Subaru in Roslyn, New York. I made the call and Lisette answered. She immediately understood my issue and responded, “ You know there is a snow storm coming. You need to bring your car here and we’ll take care of it”. Lisette is another example of a true professional that takes great pride in her position. I arrived and was greeted by Service Advisor Justin Peralta. He did the intake and assured me the car would be thoroughly checked out and I would be updated throughout the process. In a short period of time, Lorrie Santiago came to inform me that my car was ready. Lorrie Santiago is always congenial, professional and laser focused on the task at hand. Lorrie’s area is highly efficient, the paperwork and fob were all ready to go. Lorrie informed me of what was completed, asked if I had any questions and personally thanked me for bringing my car to East Hills Subaru. Lorrie is very proud of this organization and it shows every time! Integrity begins at the top! Jamie Nussbaum is an extremely professional individual.His affect is always pensive yet gregarious in nature. Jamie’s attention to detail is reflected in every aspect of his Service Department. The amount of pressure with work orders, pending projects, emergency customer drop-ins could make this Service Department of “FRENETIC HOT ZONE”. However, to the contrary, Jamie’s strong but calming presence guides his ship through another day of success for his entire team. Philip Saccio and Justin Peralta are top Service Advisors. I’ve been most impressed by both of these professionals. These men take their positions most seriously. The initial intakes are thorough, the process is clearly layed out with potential cost and a clear timeline is presented. Philip Saccio and Justin Peralta assure me they are dedicated to success. The man behind the curtain where all the magic happens is Sandro! I call him the “Economist-Master Technician. Sandro always has a smile along with being extremely gifted. His videos that he takes of the work he performs are extremely informative. Sandro will always give suggestions to keep my vehicle at its peak performance. Sandro’s economic background is always integrated into his technical practice. It appears Sandro’s daily mission is to be the best “Economist-Master Technician” every day. Mission Accomplished Sandro! Finally, I have to acknowledge Jamie Nussbaum. He always takes a compliment and deflects to include his team. His conversations with me always demonstrate a pride he has of everyone on his team. I understand his pride in working with these great professionals.
