2023 Subaru Forester review
The radio and the heat settings leave a lot to be desired. If you’re looking for a heater setting, you won’t find it. Nothing annoys me more than unrequested updates on flood watch/warning. it just can’t be tailored to exactly where you live. But every 6 minutes is a bit of overkill. And our previous Forester had a tray in the middle storage (glove box). Even though we asked our salesman about that, we have heard nothing. Missing the change tray a lot.

2025 Subaru Outback review
I have had big trucks and SUV I now have a 2025 Outback wilderness, I had to drive this outback a while to get use to it, it was hard for me to get comfortable in this outback because it sat so low, for 60 years I had a vehicle sat up high and little more room in the front seat area,I got use to it, especially at the gas station with mpg I am getting , I am getting really right around 24 to 25 Mpg I am happy.Now that I have driven this outback for about 2 months I am happy, and in the Outback Wilderness it has the best AWD on the market not 4 wheel drive, never never let anybody tell you it is the same as 4 wheel drive If they do leave the dealership on the spot. I am happy I would buy again as long the price is 40k Or less if the price crosses the 45 k I would have gotten a Toyota 4 runner, not the 2025 models but the 2024 or 2023, remember these models are around 17 mpg with 23 gallon tanks with about 275 to 300 miles per tank

2025 Subaru Forester review
My first Subaru although each of my kids had a used one as their first cars. Very well made, It is quite comfortable but I wish the seats went up a little bit more. I bought the Premium model and it has everything you could ask for. Handles great, has more than enough oomph, and I am averaging around 26.5 mpg in mostly city driving. Took a 200 mile out and back trip, and averaged 34.8 mpg. I will certainly buy another Subaru when it is time, usually every 2-3 years.

2019 Subaru Forester review
I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I couldn’t even feel it; I watched the speedometer. Love the safety features and extras like seat warmers and large sunroof.

2020 Subaru Outback review
I have a 2020 Subaru Outback Touring 2.4L turbo model, the fully-loaded, most expensive model. It replaced a 2011 standard Outback with a 2.5L engine and manual transmission. My only criticism is poor gas mileage, about 23-24 mpg versus the 2011's 28.2 average over more than 100K miles. I like the power (260 HP) but might have forgone the turbo had I anticipated the unimpressive mileage. My 2001 Audi Q5, with a 260 HP 2.0L turbo engine, averages 28+ mpg, but cost $10K more than my Subaru. I rationalize by recognizing that $10K will buy a lot of gasoline.

2018 Subaru Forester review
I've had three other Subarus and this one is my favorite. One of the best parts about this car is how spacious it feels inside. The tall roof combined with the panoramic sunroof bring the outside in and make for a happy drive. It also has the famous Subaru boxer engine and AWD. Road noise is a bit louder than competitors, but that's ok to me because it makes the ride more fun. Also like the Eyesight suite of safety features. It adds a level of confidence to my commute. It also holds a lot of cargo when it needs to do it.

2018 Subaru Forester review
10/29/2022 2 wks ago i bought 2018 forester premium. Overall very happy with the vehicle. It feels solid for a small car.The drivers seat is very comfortable for me. Im 6"0 and weight 230lbs. My only complaint so far is freeway driving. Seems to wander alot and if on grooved payment with wind then it becomes a chore to drive.

2023 Subaru Forester review
Likes: spacious interior despite modest exterior dimensions, easy to maneuver, great visibility all around, comfortable ride, good traction, handling, and braking, nice interior finish on sport model, strong steering responsive headlights yet they don't blind opposing traffic, very good optional Harmon sound system, numerous effective safety features, low insurance premiums, adequate acceleration..a few cons: actual economy slightly under EPA estimates, seat may be a bit too firm for some but easy to address by adding a thin seat cushion, mandatory sunroof on all but the base model..I wish Subaru would just make that a single option..rough engine start-stop ..however I disable it each time I start engine so it can be a non issue...no reliability issues yet but since this has a cvt and fairly complex safety features, long term reliability is unknown..

2023 Subaru Forester review
This is our second Forester. Our first was a 2011 Premium we bought as a CPO in 2014 and unfortunately went through the headache of excessive oil consumption within months of buying it. Subaru did eventually replace the engine short block on their dime, but only after repeated oil consumption tests and being told by the dealer service department that it was within normal limits. Calling Subaru of America was the only way we got it resolved. I was impressed that they approved the service, and that's the reason we bought another Subaru. We also have a 2018 Outback Premium in our garage--no oil consumption, and no major issues except replacing the radio for failed lighting behind the volume knob and a minor leak in the oil pan (no dripping underneath the car though) at about 42k miles. We like our 2023 Forester Sport overall, and first and foremost we like its excellent safety ratings and features. I will say the ride is much firmer than our Outback which is only a couple hundred pounds heavier. Wish it had a little more storage in the center console and beneath the climate controls. We look forward to many years of driving with the Forester (and our Outback). Based on our experience, I do feel getting a Subaru-backed extended warranty is worth it for peace of mind (we bought them for our first Forester and now our Outback and both eventually paid for themselves). You DON'T have to buy the warranty when you purchase the vehicle. Call different dealers in your state and ask for their price on an extended warranty for your vehicle--we saved hundreds of dollars by doing this. You have until your manufacturer warranty expires to add an extended warranty.

My first Wilderness was totaled in a head-on collision when a young driver spilled coffee and veered into my lane and struck me head-on. That was my 1st Subaru Forester Wilderness and IT SAVED MY LIFE. Full curtain all-around airbag deployment with a roll, the Wilderness coming to rest on it's right side, me still strapped into seatbelt, and the Subaru automatic crash notification with a live person on the speakers asking me if I was ok and needed 911! Smoke still coming from the airbag deployments, and there is a live person coming over the speakers asking me if I'm ok. It was surreal. SUBARU FORESTER WILDERNESS SAVED MY LIFE! TYVM Subaru! LOVE this car! Gets 25+ MPG with conservative driving, a great ride and suspension, superior traction in mud and snow, load-out practically anything/rack bikes (or whatever on the roof racks), sleep in the back with ample room, superior rear-gate lift mechanism with memory, seats super-comfortable and easily adjustable, solid rear-seat leg-room, easy rear-seat fold-downs for massive cargo area that takes my full HVAC tool load-out for servicing ice baths all over the NorthEast US. 2017 Subaru Forester review
I have owned my 2017 Forester since late 2016. Except for normal maintenance I've had no problems with thr vehicle. All of the warning systems work very well,they have saved me from accidents numerous times. The automatic seat repositioning when some one else has used my is really handy eliminates all the adjusting needed to get the position back to my needs. Traction and controll during winter and bad weather are excellent. My forrester get used like a truck at times. Great overall car.

Bought this car and took off for a 2000miles trip so learned along the way, Not a speed demon but enough to get into traffic and gas mileage is great...over 30 on highway. my only complaint was I couldn't see during a bad storm because the center screen was so bright it was blinding me and had to turn it off. Upon first impression I wasn’t sure how this was going to go. There was no receptionist and there was no organization as to who to speak to once I got there. But once I was placed with my sales manager Alex, the experience became a different story. He was helpful, professional, but very real. He didn’t xxxxxxxx, lie, or act like he knew things he didn’t, which I appreciate! Even though I was liking at a used Ford he didn’t try to sell me in something I didn’t want. He just gave his honest opinions and knowledge to help me make my decision. I didn’t buy right away, which was actually encouraged by him, to see the other vehicle I had in mind. Even gave me tips on what to look for when seeing other used vehicles, which was welcomed. After viewing the other vehicle and having the exact opposite experience with a local Ford dealer, I chose to go with car at Toyota of Hackensack even without an CPO certification, simply because I just trusted them more, they were upfront with all the costs. Alex didn’t try to slip anything by me when we sat down for pricing. The price was exactly what I expected to pay given the sticker price. I was assisted with getting a great rate on insurance by the dealership, and the finance guy Steve was just as helpful and easy to work with. They matched a finance rate I was approved for by another bank. Steve didn’t hard sell me on an extended warranty, but explained everything pretty well and gave me time to think and research. Overall I came away with a very good experience and so far, a great car. I would definitely recommend dealing with Alex and Steve at Toyota of Hackensack!
2022 Subaru Forester review
I purchased the 2023 Wilderness trim in August and I chose it because I live in a very snowy and mountainous area. I certainly needed an upgrade from my trusty 2wd, low-clearance hatchback. I can watch the season change with more peace of mind with its high clearance, AWD and features like Starlink and X-mode ready to step in when called upon. I’m a huge fan of the vehicle’s exterior styling and the interior feels luxurious and durable. The cabin is well-insulated from engine and road noise. One drawback is that the sound system lacks depth even with the base turned all the way up (I don’t have the Harmon Kardon stereo option). I’ve never owned a car with a sunroof before and I love letting in extra daylight and looking up at the cliffs and trees during stops so I can’t imagine life without it, now. Even the low beam headlights provide clear-as-day visibility on the darkest nights, but I’d be worried about blinding other drivers so I’d give more follow distance. Many reviewers seem dissatisfied with its acceleration, but it hasn’t felt underpowered to me and I drive a Chevy Suburban for work. It feels like I’m barely touching the accelerator to cruise up steep grades, but I’m a leisurely driver so my expectations differ. :)

I just purchased a new full EV Toyota bZ XLE from this local dealership. My salesman there was Howard Cullen. While I’ve driven Teslas since 2017 I’ve been able to avoid the typically unpleasant experience of being tagged-teamed by sales staff in an auto dealership — the “showroom shuffle”. I’ve also been able to pay cash and avoid car loans for the last 35 years. That being said, my initial reaction to being handed off to Howard by other sales staff was classic “disgruntled customer” mode; a bit hostile. However, we got past that and Howard was great in working with me to get me a very attractive price on a quality vehicle. Another issue that I had going into this transaction was encountering showroom sales staff who usually know little to nothing about EVs. Howard admitted to his limited experience upfront, so we learned about this car together. I appreciated that he understood my concerns and worked hard to gain my trust, answers to my product questions and minimize the amount of hassle factor that it took to make this purchase – which included my first car loan in 35 years (a few $K additional incentive for taking a Toyota 0% interest 3-year loan was hard to resist.) Prior to switching to Teslas (a very high-quality automobile) I had owned 6 Toyotas (Camrys and a Tacoma) over 25 years; and I would argue that this is hands-down the best car company in the world. Howard has been selling Toyotas for 17 years and shares my commitment to this product. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer family and friends to him for their next vehicle purchase — especially as I know that he will know alot more about these EVs for the next customer who comes looking for one.
2020 Subaru Ascent review
Practical. We love our 2020 Ascent Limited and we live in the south. We have a large family and this is great while the kids are small. Once more than three are teenagers, we'll definitely need a larger vehicle that provides more leg room if you're sitting on the back row. Love the convenience and ease of how the rear seats fold forward when I'm shopping and/or loading up from the back. The 10 year 100k mile warranty was reasonably priced at less than $2.5k. Haven't had to use it yet (knock on wood). Again, it's practical so the seats aren't as plush as premium vehicles but they're nice and comfortable. This pretty much describes the interior. The electronics are comparable to most vehicles. It has everything you need but nothing over the top. (Again, practical.) Greatly appreciate the cabin air filter and ease of changing it. I like smelling a fresh interior all the time. We're in the south where it's high in pollen, so the HEPA cabin filter is perfect. In my opinion the Ascent is a great mid-size SUV option that looks nice, is practical and has that Subaru reliability.

2024 Subaru Ascent review
After a lot of time and research we started our journey with a new Subaru Ascent. We then test drove 4 other vehicles and I didn't have the same feeling as I did in the Ascent. We originally were looking at a 2025; however, there was a beautiful new 2024 Subaru Ascent and that was the one! There is more room, I like the head space since we have some taller people in the family. We don't really use the third row, but it has come in handy and I am pleased with that. We keep it down a lot. As far as driving this vehicle, I am very comfortable and happy with this. You get a smooth ride with it and the engine has pick up when needed. This is my first keyless car; however, we had to have the remote start, we got spoiled. With that we needed to subscribe to Subaru and it was a small fee for 5 years, but there is a lot you can do on your phone. I like the screen and how well you can see while in reverse. I like the placement of the screen. I'm 5'2" and I can handle this vehicle and I am confident. Being short I liked that I can almost "kiss" the front and I am not tight and I can see clearly. My husband is taller and you have 2 presets for the driver's seat. One thing is that they offer a "refresher" type appointment and we went. It was one person who took us through our vehicle and the features and any questions that we had were answered. Had the questions been more important, I would have called his number ahead of time.
