2023 Toyota Highlander review
Have had our 2023 Highlander XLE AWD since April 2023. Live in Chicago area and have driven to Arizona and Maine. Zero problems with the car. We put a large Thule box on the roof, multiple mountain bikes on a bike carrier and a kayak. Lots of luggage, got 27 miles per gallon on both trips. Plenty of power in the Rocky Mountains. Would recommend the car to others. We have a great Toyota dealership but all we have needed is schedule maintenance.

I have been looking for a nice second gen Honda Pilot for quite some time and live in Western Washington. He helped me with every step of the long distance process and I went ahead with the purchase and had it shipped over 700 miles to me. When I received the Pilot, I was truly amazed at how nice it was on person and it exceeded my expectations on every way. Thank you again Mike as you are a person of integrity and represent MB of Pleasanton very well. I will keep you in mind for future car purchases even if they are long distance and sight unseen!
2023 Toyota Highlander review
I waited months, purposely, before writing this review. When I initially bought the car, I was scared because the reviews made it seem as if I made the worst mistake of my life. 6 months, 7000 miles later, the car running great. In the beginning, there was the weird shifting and lag but as time went on, around 5000 miles it had mostly smoothed out. After I took it for the TSB/Recall for a software update, it has been running perfectly since, no lag or strange shifting at all. I haven’t had any trouble otherwise. It’s roomy and comfortable for long trips. The third row is really for short trips(no more than 1hr 1/2) and for people 5’8 and under. The MPG excels on the highway especially on ECO mode with cruise control. I’ve gotten it as high as 33/34 mpg at 70mph on relatively flat land. In the city, it does terrible. I average around 17-19 even with slowly accelerations. My DTE is 290-310miles, 95% City driving. I’m sure those who use it on the highway will reach much higher. Despite the new 4 Cylinder Turbo, it has quite a bit of power and was able to take off very fast with a car loaded with adults (even in the third row). As of right now, the engine has been nothing but reliable. If anything changes, I’ll surely come back and edit this review. But for now, this 23 Highlander Limited Non-Hybrid, is a fantastic mid-size SUV and I recommend it now with the software update taking care of the shifting problem.

2023 Toyota Highlander review
We own a 2.4 Turbo XSE, has plenty of power to get you in and out of traffic. Just took a 10 hour road trip from NC through the mountains of VA & WV, performed like a champ up steep inclines and ride was very comfortable. We really like the captain chairs, easy to get passengers (inlaws) in and out. Had plenty of room for a wheelchair with 3rd row folded down. Really like the sporty look of Highlander. The 20" black rims compliment the look for me. I wish Toyota would've designed with dual exhaust to better enhance the design.

So i went in already knowing what i wanted. Had my appointment already made and he was there waiting for me no issues. It was kind of strange to me how he didn’t know where the vehicles were so we had to go look for it. We walked for a bit then got into another vehicle to search for the vehicle. I think the lot and vehicle locations should be better situated. The buying process was easy and smooth. When the car was purchased i was waiting for a final cleaning and check of the car. This took forever. When i finally got the car. The inside of the windows were still dirty you can see the finger prints and the rear emblem had some chemical in it that oxidized the emblem. It took them a long time to seem like nothing had been done properly. I did appreciate the person helloing me to keep checking on me and letting me know the status instead of leaving me. The clean process and check process of the car needs to be better managed. It shouldn’t take that long for a half xxx job.

I just purchased a 2019 Tacoma from Freeman Toyota and every person at the dealership I dealt with was helpful, friendly and patient with my many questions and concerns, especially Manny Flores. He communicated clearly by text and phone, making sure that I had all of the information I needed to decide whether it would likely be worthwhile for me to drive for an hour to the dealership. If he didn't know the answer to the question I asked, he found out and let me know as quickly as possible. He even came into the dealership on what was supposed to be his day off to help facilitate my purchase of the truck. When the truck was fully detailed the following day, he also went above and beyond to deliver the truck to me at a time and place that was most convenient for me. After more than a month of dealing with used car salesmen at other dealerships who repeatedly misrepresented the vehicles they were selling, it was so refreshing to interact with Manny and others at Freeman Toyota. They were honest, direct, and easy going. And they liked my dog and didn't complain when she took a test drive with me! This past weekend, I helped a close friend of mine purchase a 2017 Toyota Corolla LE Eco from Simon Dharmawan, one of the internet sales managers. My first impression of the dealership was that it was extremely well-maintained, with many offices for the finance managers to expedite the sales process for multiple customers. There is also a child-friendly entertainment area, as well as a stellar coffee machine with tons of touchscreen options. Simon was by far the lowest-pressure and most accomodating salesperson I have encountered in the car business (having worked in the industry for 2 years), and had great patience despite my cutthroat questions and desire to establish total transparency. My advice to prospective buyers would be to come in with your research in hand, ask for Simon, and prepare to fire away with questions until you're completely satisfied with making a decision. I thoroughly enjoyed the negiotations and would come again just to have fun.
