2011 Volvo S40 review
We've had no issues with the car since we bought it. First car I've bought where I didn't have issues and I've owned many! The car is heavy and safe. You feel like you are driving a high quality car. Its not light and flimsy like so many cars today.

built like a mini military tank with style and performance I have an 18 year old car (2005 model S40 with manual trans) and its just amazing Those years this was imported from Sweden as a competition to the BMS 328 series....but they couldn't beat the bimmer and in due course of time they stopped importing. 2007 Volvo S40 review
I love my S40. I bought it with a manual transmission and all wheel drive and I don?t regret it at all. The engine is responsive and quick, the car has loads of torque across the entire rev range, and the turbo is quick. The chassis is firm. There?s almost no body roll or chassis movements over bumps and potholes. The all wheel drive system along with Volvo safety tech allows me to drive normal roadway speeds in snowy or wet conditions. The interior is minimalistic and well laid out with extremely comfortable seats. I absolutely love this car.

2004 Volvo S40 review
I bought my 2.4i new in September of 2004. There's only been a couple minor fixes in 19 years e.g. Wiper fluid pump (ford), etc. Someone mentioned the windows rolling themselves down. Here too, but it cleared itself up. Currently at 149k miles and rust is forming around the wheel wells. My sense is the body will go before the rest of this little zippy tank does. Afraid I'll never find anything like it again...

2009 Volvo S40 review
Drove a 240 DL for 15 years and sold it, but it was still running with over 150,000 miles (which is not all that high of mileage for that car). Drove a Buick and it had transmission problems at less than 30,000 miles. Came back to Volvo and I expect this 4-1/2 year old car to take me well into the 2020s. This is a fun, sleek, modern ride and I LOVE IT!!!

2001 Volvo S40 review
This car is old, yes, but as my first car it has proven to be extremely reliable. It still works to this day, and drives beautifully. It has a lot of features for a 2001, and has not had many repairs.

2005 Volvo S40 review
Its great I had a hyundai sonata for 5 years and it was nice but a lot of the features didn't work like the mirror defroster and the ac compressor was bad. This car is everything I need! Great gas mileage winter mode for driving in snow and a 6 cd player that plays cdrs. It doesn't have Bluetooth or an aux jack but the sound is great and I plan on getting one installed in the future. The interior cloth on the roof started to peel away but cosmetic issues are not important to me. And I keep getting a check engine light for the system being too rich but I was told its because of the ethanol in modern gasoline and a software update will fix it. That's the only issue ive had with the engine its really solid! No issues with any major problems and thats what matters to me. Love the car hope to keep it for 300,000 miles it has 71,000 now

Car has been very reliable and dependable. It does have the typical Volvo sunroof drain issue that needs to be addressed annually or else you will have a pool of water in your footwell. Went thru drivers side bearings more than usual but truly that's about it. Fantastic reliability and safety.

I had a 2007 Volvo S40T a few years back and was amazed by it, simple to work on, reliable as all xxxx, quick and a gas saver, so I recently decided to get another S40, this time I got a 2005 S40 I, yes that same diehard 5 cylinder motor, but without the turbo, and let me tell you, it's crazy fast, saves gas and is fun to drive, Love my Volvo.

Excellent experience. When I called, Joe answered all of my questions. Made me feel confident that the car would meet my needs before I spent the time to go and actually see the car. He had the car ready for a test drive when I showed up. There were some minor issues which he promised to address. He was flexible on the purchase process allowing me to make a deposit with balance upon pickup. I couldn't get there to pickup the car during the dealership normal hours and Joe came in after hours to meet me to close the deal. He had fixed the minor problems and in the process found one that I missed and had it repaired as well. Made the purchase/paperwork a seamless and effortless process. I drove the car an hour to get back home and it performed as expected. I've been driving it now for a week with no unforeseen problems. All together and excellent experience.

I am a man Raising my 2 granddaughter. 9 at 10 Also, I'm dealing with cancer and heart problems and need a vehicle. I can afford $78 a month. And according to your website, I qualify, but when I called, they said they will not give me a loan. Because the car was under the amount used to take loans for broke my heart, cause I needed to get back-and-forth to my hospital visits and taking my granddaughters where they need to go friends of mine said. These are very reputable, and I was hoping it was something you could do for me. I'm a little heartbroken that I can't get a card from you, I know my credit score in bed, but when it came down to paying Certain things like my medication, they destroyed my credit rating. I just like to say thank you.\n And then if there was ever anything you could do get me in a vehicle. That is between 3 and 4000 dollars. With a payment of 73 Dollars A month, I appreciate it. Not 43 big Just asking for a little freedom by driving And trying To stay alive for my girls and my family. Thank you for listening. 2006 Volvo S40 review
We have had one for about 7 years. Very good little car. Always starts up nice and fast and compact. Only problem was leaking water through the sunroof.

2006 Volvo S40 review
It drives smooth and quiet. Everything mechanical works great. The only problems I've had are with electrical. The wiring harnesses are kind of fickle, but other than electrical it was a great buy.
