Long Lasting Reliable Truck.

I bought a new 1997 Ford Ranger 4x4 4.0 v6 4 speed (w/ od). After 27yrs driving it...163000 mi...it's never left me stranded. A dead battery...twice. 235/75R15 M/T have been on it since the originals wore out. One clutch, one radiator, one blendoor and 2 break jobs. Flush out radiator every even year. Will finally change oil in manual transmission and transfer case. As well as in Rear and Front differentials. I'll do this on 25th of April '24. Needs radio and door lights stay on for a long long time. OH...and a very slow leak in the AC...I put in 2 small cans per yr. Small cans from auto stores...whatever is on sale. YUP...regular maintenance is the key, And I have been the only driver. My Wife likes sedans. Driven it overloaded pulling a small overloaded trailer from FL to CA twice and will do it a 3rd time in 2 months. I got lucky. R A Murillo

A bucket of rust that will go as far as you go

We had ours in the family for 10 years now, and got it from a county auction. If you keep up the maintenance as recommended and check your fluid levels often its a xxxx simple, xxxx reliable little truck. You wont get a ticket for speeding but itll get you where you need to go!

I got a steal! Previous owner never

Just purshased from a neighbor. Only 51000 miles. Needs headliner and a paint job but other than that what a deal!! I had to buy it! Never pass up a good deal. I’m gonna paint it, fix the headliner and put a bed liner on it. I could probably sell it but I’m won’t. You can alway use a truck.
