Used BMW X1 for sale near Liberty Hill, TX

I’ve bought several cars from BMW of Austin. Troy is the best and always helpful. It was a great car buying experience and they made it very easy.

Vehicle is a strong performer (no surprise here given its "M" designation. No disapointments in that regard. Sport seats are very supportive; especially with the lumbar support adjustability. Cabin tech is abysmal though. Not at all intuitive; functions nested down menus where you would never expect them. Owners manual is 480 pages! Really ! While the vehicle makes me smile quite often the complexity of the cabin tech has me cursing every time I start the vehicle. The so-called "Genius" program help line only works Mon. - Fri. Central time in the US! Not too happy about that either.

2020 X1 w/sport seats and convenience package, purchased in 2023. Positive notes: It's a true BMW: sure-footed, agile, and no shortage of power when needed. It feels remarkably glued to the road despite its small size. Handles as well as my former 3 series and is just as fun to drive. Storage space is good. Ergonomics are good once you figure out all the technology. Negatives: Ride is a bit bumpy, even for a sporty car, which is apparently caused by the run-flat tires. If I was buying new, I'd get standard tires and a real spare, which fits in the storage space in the back. Sensatec seats are hot. In retrospect, I'd hold out for leather. Overall, I recommend this car if you're looking for something small, practical, full-featured and sporty.

I had to get a car in one day. A terrible pinch for the dealership. They rose to the occasion with kindness and honesty and had me out-the-door with a great deal before 2pm. Thanks especially to Delane Sheppard and Levi Durst. You guys made a difficult day easy!

The 2024 BMW X1 is nimble and responsive. It has an excellent memory for self-driving the car to back out of tight parking spots along the path the driver used to get into it. The car feels spacious inside and is easy to get into. My observed hwy mileage is 36mpg @ 75mph and 22mpg in suburban driving. It’s defects are: 1) the driver must learn how to start from a stop to avoid a sluggish pick-up or a sudden forward jerk; 2) the owner’s manual does not include directions for setting up the electronics, so the owner must resort to a complex cryptic in-car system that is difficult to sort through; 3) the built-in navigation system's is hard to use; the owner will resort to Waze or Car Play; 4) the car is bumpy on rough surfaces, and vibrates like a massage unit on washboard.

Awesome, solid well built suv. Good milage, great performance. A solid, reliable safe vehicle. By BMW recertified. Best vehicle I have ever owned. I would buy one again. I also own an Audi and Toyota.

Highs: 1. It feels and drives like a BMW: sure-footed, agile, responsive and tight. 2. Materials, fit/finish, and aesthetics are good. 3. Tech is great, I particularly like the heads-up display. 4. All this in a small, practical package with decent storage space in the back. Lows: 1. Run-flat tires are firm and make the ride rough. I replaced mine with standard tires which meant purchasing an aftermarket spare. 2. Standard front seats are too short for anyone over 6'. I purchased one with the sport seats. 3. Ingress/egress is a little tight. 4. Worst glove box ever made; small and designed so that things fall out when opened. Overall, this is a great car IF you're looking for the driving experience of a BMW in a small, efficient package. If you're looking for the cushy ride of a Buick, this may not be for you.

I couldn't be happier with this vehicle. It was made for ME! Its height makes it easy and painless to enter and exit the driver's seat with my arthritic knees....I just slide in & out in nicely! The "head up" feature is very helpful every day. Those are the best headlights ever for night driving. No complaints from this customer-in her 3rd X!

The X1 sounds like a diesel motor when you start it, they could've def made it more comfortable, the brakes are really mushy, can only use super unleaded. The plusses are it's a BMW girls think I'm rich, Lighting on the interior at night is wild, performance is amazing, buying used saves tons of money. It's a thin line to buy this car, I feel like I got lucky with the price I paid and I'll be in a good position by the time it's paid off, but pricing has to be right on this car and it has to be in good shape mechanically. Buy from a reputable dealer because I wouldn't want to imagine how much it would cost to maintain/repair a poorly maintained one of these.

Just picked-up the X1 on Mar 28th and had a great ride home from the dealership. Handles very well on the road with ample torque when needed. Hate the start/stop mechanics and the fact that you must deactivate each time. Hate the ConnectDrive thing—beware this is a sinister ploy to get more of your dollars and convert once standard car features into subscription services. It is evil. Love the interior. This is my third BMW, so I think this X1 interior is quite good for the money and I am astounded by the standard features list—Wow! And there’s a spare tire with tools in the trunk, WHAT!? I use a touch screen all day, so the tech is no stretch, as long as it works. We shall see, the OS is new. Dual clutch….hmmm, it has its advantages, but smooth take off ain’t one of ‘em. The seats are superb and the cabin very clean. Love the cargo space. This is a good vehicle for a certain group of buyers who want cargo and fun. This is a smart ICE choice, and I hope there will eventually be a U.S. bound iX1.

Corey Rutherford is the person to use if purchasing a vehicle. He exemplifies much passion for his job and dedication to his clients. For approximately six months, we had been searching for a particular vehicle with specific features and had spoken with many car salesmen throughout the process. The BMW X1 is easy to handle, powerful, has great acceleration, has a very quiet engine and it offers excellent fuel mileage with mid-grade to high octane fuel. My only criticism is that the X1's ride is harsher than most SUV's. For example, the Subaru Crosstrek, which is essentially similar, has a much smoother ride than the BMW X1. But that's because the X1 has thicker tread, run flat tires instead of a spare tire that the Subaru has. The X1 has superb handling on the highway, but it's equally at home in a city/municipal environment. The interior is easy to understand, and it provides much room to carry groceries and other cargo and the all-around view of the driver is unobstructed. The fully adjustable seating, with memory for two (2) driver is a godsend.

If I could give R&D 100 stars I would. A few years ago I was in an accident and had not so great credit and was left without a car. I searched all over Austin and dealt with your typical car sales people. When I popped into R&D to test drive a car it was a warm welcome from the start. Fast forward to 2023 and I just purchased my third car with them. The team is always warm and welcoming, they’re understanding of any of life’s hardships and I truly feel like family when I walk in there. Each vehicle I’ve bought has ran and performed fantastic up until the day I traded it in. I’m now currently in my dream car all thanks to them.
