I referred this dealership to several friends and co-workers the day after I purchased my vehicle. This is not the first time I purchased a vehicle from Don Hewlett. My first experience was in 2006. That experience was identical to this experience in that I researched vehicles online, was immediately contacted by a salesman, and followed up with a visit to the dealership. From that first internet contact to closing the deal, I felt as if I was the only customer they had. Here's what I liked about the dealership: Walking into the dealership feels welcoming in that the cars (the product) are on display. I've been in other dealerships where all you see is a bunch of people milling about. Patriotic pictures (including Texana) are on display. As a military veteran, that appealed to me. Everything is immaculately clean and in good repair. The receptionist was friendly and greeted me promptly. Carl Staves, who started out as my salesman, became my new friend. As a senior citizen, I have purchased many new cars and I abhor the negotiating process. The salesmen always seemed to be the "middle man". I've gotten to the point where I just want to deal with the manager and not have to go through the middle man. However, the industry doesn't work that way. This is the first time I EVER felt like the salesman represented my interests fairly to the manager. I felt like Carl was fighting for me to get the best price possible. Carl did not use cliches like "what can I do to earn your business" or ask "if I can get the price right, are you ready to buy today". Had he done so, it would have interfered with the process because I would have tuned him out. Because he didn't, I felt like an individual being listened to. He took the time to patiently demonstrate features on the car. This is very important because there is so much technology on the vehicle and it can be overwhelming to senior citizens. This example alone is important enough to refer all senior citizens to him to buy their next new car. After the purchase, Carl followed up with me several times to ensure I had everything I needed and to answer questions, which of course I had. This proves that the sale doesn't stop once the contract is signed. The finance personnel, Jeff Grazioplene and Buddy Shepperd, were great and did not resort to high pressure sales tactics. Neither did they "sulk" when I declined their products. I purchased accessories from Jerred and he was very informative about the products and also offered fair pricing. I would like to add that I do not live near this dealership but the way I was treated and the price I got - including the price of my trade-in vehicle - was worth the distance it took to drive there. This purchase was an expensive one and the most important thing I can say is that the deal was great, I was treated fairly, and I walked away a very happy customer. Happy customers make more happy customers.

I hate having to take my vehicle in for service because I normally have to deal with being told that I "must" get additional services for my car and the hard push for me to agree to it. I scheduled my 2016 Suburban for its first oil change and took it in this morning. The great service started from the moment I stepped out of my vehicle in the service drive-up. I regret not getting the name of the gentleman that greeted me there and walked me (didn't just point) inside to where I needed to wait for David McKnight, with whom my service was scheduled. David was working with another customer at the time. The other advisor sitting at the desk next to David's (again, I regret not getting his name) quickly finished whatever he was working on and said he could get me checked in so I didn't have to keep waiting. He said they would get it started and that it would be about an hour for the work to be completed and asked if I knew where the waiting room was (I did). Just a little over an hour later, David came to the waiting area to let me know my Suburban was done. Although I had been very pleased with the service and had no complaints, he apologized for not being available when I got there. I feel like all three of these employees were focused on providing good customer service. I'm quite surprised at some of the recent bad reviews I read because I had a completely different experience and wanted to make sure I shared that. I plan to continue getting my vehicle serviced at Hewlett even beyond the first two scheduled maintenance visits that came with my purchase. Also, when I purchased my vehicle months ago, I also purchased after-market running boards that open when the vehicle door opens. Twice, the puddle light by the driver's door has come loose and dangles down under the vehicle. Both times, I have brought it back in and it was quickly taken care of without any issues. I neglected to write a review then and wanted to mention the great service I received that time as well.

I just discovered the dealership this week (new to town) and already bought a new car from them. It's close to home and I'm a Chevrolet loyalist so I anticipate buying cars here for the rest of my lifetime. I've worked with Zane Busch (Sales) Jeff Grazioplene (Finance) and Kelly Watson (Accessories) and all were good listeners (uncommon in 2017) which enabled them to find everything we needed to quickly and confidently buy a new car. Don Hewlett is known for customer service, but Mr Jim Lashley could write the book on excellent customer service. My wife and I have been dealing with Don Hewlett since the 1980s and have been treated great each time. This was my first time in the new oil change building, It was unreal and super nice.. It has so much to offer the customer while you wait... Mr Lashley was the best.. I felt like he was trying to help me, and I was treated with a great deal of respect. Being 75 years old I really appreciate that, The young lady who I paid was very nice and helpful. I can't leave out Rick Jehl. He has helped me many times, and I appreciate him very much. To sum this up: Don Hewlett is the best dealership in Texas because of it's outstanding personnel.

I own a "base" version of this vehicle. Base is figurative term with all ther stand features. Remote start, power everything, velvet like cloth seats, woodgrain trim and chrome. My vehicle is FWD and has zero issues performing in ther massive amounts of rain. The vehicle also supports generous ground clearance making unexpected hazards no issue. Extensive amount of storage is a bonus for active families.

I recently brought my 2016 4Runner TRD Pro in for its 10K service. Full disclosure, I use my 4Runner for overlanding/expo events and can be quite picky letting anyone touch it. Having several terrible experiences with another local Toyota dealership, I wasn't looking forward to my visit. Much to my surprise, the folks in the service department were fantastic! My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

I have been looking for a new Silverado LTZ with 2WD, nicely appointed, WITH the 6.2L engine for a year and a half. I could have ordered one and waited the 60 - 90 days to have one built, but I didn't want to go that route. Capitol had 3 2017's in stock, one in my preferred color, and I was able to buy my elusive Silverado. Capitol's Internet Sales guy, Eddie Sifuentes, helped me greatly with my buying process, and suggested I get a CarMax appraisal when the first trade offer was way too low. He was able to get me $500 over the CarMax appraisal, and that got my out-of-pocket cost for the truck lowered by over $10,000! That's the kind of car salesperson I like. Eddie kept going out of his way to deliver the truck to my home, and volunteering to pick it up and take it back to the dealership next week when some dealer-installed options that were ordered come in. Marco in Finance was also very helpful, keeping his sense of humor as our transaction kept him at his desk until after 9:30 pm on a Friday night. He got everything done to wrap up the sale to our satisfaction in spite of the late hour. Thanks to the Capitol Chevrolet team - this is the second new Silverado I have purchased there, and I will keep coming back.

Good place to get a good used car

I originally came to this place not expecting to get approved for an auto loan. I had been to some places before and just ended up wasting my time doing credit applications. I called and talked to the friendliest caring person in the auto business, Chris. He helped me out throughout the entire application and car buying experience. He worked closely with the banks and matched me with one who worked with my credit and income. Chris has been in the business for a long time and knows cars and how the buying experience can be. He worked with me to get me into a car that matched my needs and wants which is a Honda. I personally will only buy Honda or Toyota brand because these will last a real long time. These people do have a good selection of Hondas and Toyotas, especially SUVs. They only sell cars that are in good condition and have not had too many previous owners which is a very considerable investment. While I was getting the car I met with the owner Tommy who was very gracious to work me into a monthly payment that I could afford. He is also one of the very few who will personally get involved in any kind of issue you may have and take care of it without any questions. Not many owners will do that. Thomas who also works there is very knowledgeable of cars and parts and will give you the best advice on how to take real good care of your car if your serious. Nicole is the collections manager who takes payments and is really friendly too. I believe that as long as you do your part as a customer, they will do their part as the merchant to stand next to you throughout your entire experience. I had a couple of things that needed to get done on my car after buying it and they took care of me without question and stood next to their word. The best part about them is that they do a free Carfax on their cars which helped me pick out the best car that was available to me. If you want to be part of a warm family oriented kinda business who understands and sympathizes all types of circumstances in the car buying experience, this is the place to come to.

I enjoyed driving this car. Nice looking car. Can't believe they will stop making it. I would have liked another but had to change. Happy with new lease
