Okay so I was in the market for a new (smaller engine) vehicle; Saturday 17JUN I visited Sunset Ford (St. Louis) because I had been eyeballing an Oxford White Focus they had on their lot. My wife accompanied me and we walked the lot, looked at some of their stock, then went to Bandana's BBQ in the adjacent lot for lunch. We discussed in depth me looking at the White 2016 that kept catching my eye: 2016 Focus SE Hatchback with a sunroof, backup camera, and less than 34k on the clock. Pardon my language but combined with the lifetime warranty from Sunset Ford, it was a xxxx of a deal and I would have been a fool to pass on inquiring on it. The thing that made the complete transaction as smooth as possible was our salesman, Jim Wagstaff. Jim was pleasant and professional when approaching my wife and I in the lot and wasn't an annoyance. We asked if I could take the Focus for a spin and I instantly fell in love with it. When we returned to the lot, we were more than ready to sit down with Jim and begin hashing out a deal for said car. Within about an hour and a half they had made me an unrefusable offer on my trade-in and an amazing offer on the Focus. By end-of-business, my wife and I rode home in my brand new 2016 Focus SE. Honeslty though, even though I was (and am) in love with the Focus, the deal probably wouldnt have been made if Jim was a pushy salesman. He was attentive to my questions and even laughed at my corny jokes (even though they most likely weren't funny).. This Ford dealership's current slogan is "Dont close the Deal til Sunset". If it wasn't for the well trained and courteous salesperson, this deal most likely WOULDN'T have been made. Long winded but overall: My wife and I were impressed with Jim and the car buying experience at Sunset Ford. I can def. see me doing business here again in the future, and sending any of my friends/family to see Mr. Wagstaff. Thank you Jim and Sunset staff who helped me with the purchase of my new ride.

3 weeks ago, I bought a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT 3.5 TT 302A/Chrome package, has all the bells and whistles...absolutely beautiful truck. Being a certiefied pre-owned Ford, I was willing to pay the 36K...as I received a more then fair price for my Honda Pilot trade in. I gotta say, I really wanna like this truck. I'm 6'3", It's far and away the most comfortable vehicle I've ever driven. It's wicked powerful...0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds. With all that being said. I've had 2 issues already with the truck. With in 48 hours of taking it home, the starter xxxx the bed. Had to have it towed and starter replaced. Okay parts break, they can be replaced. They played for it. Just today, I returned it to the dealer and got a loaner. Heard a rattling noise when I started it. Upon further investigation via internet, it could be the cam phasers or tensioners. Either way, I don't need my timing chain loosening up and rattling every morning I start it. Like I said, I wanna like this truck but the jury is still out. I'm optimistic and hopeful the dealer will make it right. So much for Certified Ford F-150's passing a 172 checklist and being the "cream of the crop" Evidently starters weren't part of that "172" check list. We'll see what they say when thay call back Monday morning with a diagnosis?

First, you should know - I hate buying cars. The drama, the games, the whole process. And I just moved here and had no history with any dealership, no recommendations to go by. So when I saw a Pontiac with low miles and knew I had to have it, I wasn't relishing having to make the actual deal. Lucky for me, turned out the car was at Sunset Ford and it was the easiest purchase I ever made. Jim Wagstaff was a total joy to work with! He made everything simple, starting with a really decent test drive (not the two-mile around the block kind), answered all my questions, and got me the trade-in price I wanted. Sunset offers a lifetime warranty on engine/powertrain/transmission, something I've never seen any dealership offer. As a passionate fan of Pontiac (this is my 4th) I couldn't be happier.to make this deal! Thank you, Jim!! Now on to finance. I was pre-qualified by my bank but their process was slow because of the holiday weekend. Jim took me to Jason in Sunset's finance dept. and he was able to beat the bank's interest rate by .5%. He offered me options on extended warranties (there were a few to choose from) and explained each. No pressure, no telling horror stories of what's going to happen if you don't have it, etc. Just straight business and again, a real pleasure to work with. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I know this is long but there's more to tell. I had a piece of trim come loose after picking the car up yesterday, took it back this morning and Jim and Perry had it taken care of quickly, no hassle. Late this afternoon I got a call from the finance manager, Treff, and he tells me he's found an even better interest rate, would I like to stop back and redo the paperwork to take advantage? WHO DOES THAT?? LOL Of course, I went back and Jason and Treff did the paperwork and now I'm saving a full point on interest over the life of the loan. That is truly taking care of the customer. I have never had an experience like this buying a car and I will never go anywhere else in the future. I recommend anyone looking for a car to go and talk to Jim and the Sunset team. THANKS, GENTLEMEN! PS Jason even called me after I left to let me know the time of the Cards game tomorrow had changed from 12:05 to 6:15. How nice is that? And the tickets? I put my business card in their drawing box and won 2 seats behind home plate with valet parking pass. Cards fans will understand it's like winning the lottery! Sunset, you've made my weekend!

First off I think Ford hit the nail squarely on the head when they redesigned the second generation Edge. Styling is cutting edge and the interior is as well appointed as many SUV's costing several thousand more. It rides well and the comfort level goes well beyond other vehicles in its class. Performance, also exceeds my expectations for a vehicle this size.

My van is a 2015 Ford Transit XLT 150 with mid roof and short wheelbase. The 2019 version is all but identical. It came loaded with leather seats, navigation, voice control radio, blue tooth, and all the bells and whistles. It has been a great travel van and a real head turner. You can stand up and walk in it. I retrofitted mine with a cooler, portable convenience and added a tablet for watching tv. It rides very quiet like a Lincoln town car, and I've gotten up to 23mpg highway using cruise control. This van fits into a regular parking spot anywhere. It is easy to drive as well. The only reason I would trade this van in would be to get a brand new one exactly like it. I now have 42K miles on it and still looks brand new.

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

Buying a car is stressful even if you have a lot of experience. Historically, it has been time consuming, emotionally taxing and most of us go into a dealership with far less knowledge than we ought for a purchase of the magnitude of a car. Salespeople have (understandable) pressures to move inventory and even the most fair-minded is looking to get the highest price they can get away with. It is harrowing at best. With my experience with Carvana, all of these stresses were eliminated. I browsed inventory as widely or narrowly as I wanted, for as long as I needed. I could dictate pricing ranges that were suitable for me. The car I received was *exactly* the car I examined online, right down to some inconsequential bumper scuffs. Beyond this, and *absolutely unlike* any other online business, I could speak to a *real human being* within a few minutes of calling (I had six or seven conversations with Carvana agents over the 3 1/2 weeks from car selection to car receipt). They either had the answers at hand, or researched them and replied promptly with a follow up call. Delivery coordination and drop off (and test drive) were *painless no pressure* experiences???all preparatory contract paperwork was prepared in advance leaving only title transfer stuff to take care of. It took 45 minutes, tops. (I transacted entirely in cash, so I cannot speak to the process when there is financing.) Honestly, the biggest delay was on *my* end getting the insurance transferred (having to wait on hold with my insurance company for 15 minutes). The car was 100% was described???absolutely no surprises. The images on the web site for my car were not stock images. What I saw was what I got. Naturally, it was clean, filled up with a full tank, with new tires and the whole nine yards. Even got a ???free??? Carvana reusable coffee cup and key chain. Nice touch. The part that I found the most extraordinary was the 7-day money-back guarantee, which pretty much covers a change of mind unless you get into an accident or drive it a ton (over 400 miles, and even then, they???ll take it back after a modest per-mile-over-400 charge). All in all, I was dreading buying a car (and selling my used one) and Carvana made it pleasurable. I am absolutely recommending them to all of my friends and coworkers and I hope (as a relatively new company) they keep up the excellent work.

the air vents on my 2009 king ranch and 2015 expedition are circular with possible 360 degree rotation and variable close positions. much better than those on my 2018 F-150 platinum. info system when i have the navigation in the full screen mode there is no indication of radio information. have to go to the multiscreen mode. on my 2015 expedition i can full screen map and radio information. much nicer

I needed a vehicle big enough to carry a lot of large drums. I can fit a 29" Yamaha tympani with room to spare, that's good. One negative, there is no aux port (headphone jack). Also the SYNC does not actually sync with all bluetooth devices.

I was scheduled an appointment with Steve Nodiff from a a e-mail conversation. I met him at 9:30 am. I showed him the vehicle I was interested in. The vehicle had an add on of leather interior (with heated seats) that wasn't priced on the internet ad. We talked a little and I did not want to spend more that what was listed. He sold it to me below the advertised price. It was discounted around $13,000 from the list price. I was kind of making this deal because my wife knew nothing about it and I wasn't sure how she would take this (even though the vehicle was for her). This testimonial is well over due! My experience started almost 15 years ago as a little kid seeing my parents come home with a new car, from Tom Pappas Toyota of course. I never understood why they???ve bought approximately 4-5 cars from Pappas until it was my turn to buy as a 18 year old teenager ready to make my first major purchase. I of course had to use Mark Garner because well, that???s who my parents trusted and referred. I bought a 2009 Scion tC, which meant no way to negotiate which meant pure pricing back then! I???ve had my ups and downs with my tc, bought her July 3, 2008. lets fast forward and talk about what seemed to me a very simple recall, regarding my car burning through a ton of oil, not good with cars but that???s the English version. I remember calling Chris Banks in a panic because my car was driving very ???rocky???. Of course he knew about the recall, told me to drive it up to so many miles so they can track the consumption per Toyota to figure out my issue. I drove away, got 1 minute away and freaked out! Called Chris and he said please come back and go from there. He was so good with keeping me calm and explaining the issues. Come to find out I almost blew a rod, what ever that meant, found out could have destroyed my engine and my car would essentially be non drivable. Chris immediately put me in a loaner and said he would look at her in more depth. Make a long story short, the oil piston recall if I???m using correct terms resulted in the damage. The damage would cost me roughly $7,000 in repairs including labor and rental. I was in no state of mind to drop that kind of money, she???s been paid off for roughly 2 years at this time. Oh and she unfortunely was not worth $7,000. This is where Kyle, Chris, myself and the Vice President which I believe was Tom Pappas son had a private conversation with how we were going to resolve this unepected surprise. Most dealerships would hand me the 1-800 number and say take it up with Toyota, because it???s a Toyota recall, not the dealerships issue. When I say this dealership went above and beyond, that would be an understatement. My out of pocket expense cost me nothing, they figured out the repair cost directly with Toyota! I remember Kyle calling me with the news and I was so happy and appreciative! They easily could have started the whole conversation with buying a new car but they didn???t. They recognized the many many years of loyalty myself and my parents had to Tom Pappas! I tell this story to a lot of people when buying/servicing their vehicle to go straight to Tom Pappas! Tom Pappas I really hope you recognize your team, I???ve never had any negative experience with any of your staff members. Do I have my go to favorites, well of course! Without those people, who knows what kind of car I???d be driving or how much debt I???d be in! As much as I???m dreading buying a new car, I just can???t listen to other people recommending dealerships and sales people to me. I laugh and smile and respond with telling them I have my people and place to buy my next car! Biggest shout out to Mark Garner who I bought my first car from, Chris banks who is always there to answer my silly odd questions and of course goes above and beyond without question, to Kyle who is service supervisor who went to battle with Toyota regarding my major car repair, to the Vice President at the time, I???m sorry I don???t recall his name, young fella who was extremely helpful as well! I’m a big guy, most cars just don’t fit me. 2017 Taurus SHO does. It does almost everything well; except the Sync 3 sound system. My business is driving so I put a 5k sound/ entertainment system in it . Now it’s perfect. Make sure you have an extended warranty and catch can. Fun. Fun.

The legroom in both front and back is remarkable. I do wish the seats were a little wider and deeper for the driver but that's a very minor issue. I especially like the quiet ride and the fast pickup from the engine.

Two years no problems year then....

I’ve leased my 2017 Escape for two years now. The only problems I had with it were a remote key fob that didn’t work. At the two and a half year mark at 14,000 miles the check engine light comes on. Code reading shows a bad coil in the no. One cylinder. Dealer fixed it. Four days later light on again this time it’s the number 4 cylinder. Good no more problems i like the car but the eco engine is woefully underpowered. Takes Forever to get it going. Space is good and I wish I had gotten the sync 3 entertainment system but sync is ok All in all it’s nit bad but to make it better you have go go up in trim and of course price I will not purchase or lease it again.

The back seat has more room than the other trucks I drove. Great family vehicle. The 5.0 with 10 speed transmission gets amazing fuel mileage.
