I have purchased new and used cars before, from different dealerships all over the Atlanta area. A total of 10 counting this one. Plus 2 bikes, but I'm not counting those. I have had absolutely TERRIBLE experiences, and I have had okay experiences. This was, without a doubt the best of them. What made the difference- Sam Rangel. My wife shopped around online and found a van she wanted to look at, and it happened to be at the Hardy Superstore. She went by herself to check it out. She met Sam. Sam was the opposite of what many come to think of when they think of a used car salesman. Sam was very kind and helped her. He listened to her and genuinely desired to help her find what she was looking for. I know most good sales people are like that, but there are some that don't have a customer service quality to them, but Sam does. She never felt pressured. Sam made us feel like he was on our side of things- whether it was the vehicle, the negotiation, the financing, or whatever. He was our representative. I love looking at cars, and investigating them, but absolutely HATE haggling and the actual car buying part. Sitting and waiting forever, going back and forth. Then when you are done, you have to wait for the vehicle to be cleaned and gassed...ugh. Did I say I HATE car buying? So this time, I done the whole deal with Sam through text messaging! A first for me. Whenever I asked for something, Sam replied. Sam's manager, and Finance closer- Mitch Feraco made a great team. And he had the van ready so when we got there, we signed and drove away! So, if you find a vehicle at the Hardy Superstore, or need someone to help you find one, call Sam Rangel- you wont regret it. 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited review
I bought this truck new 1/22. Have put over 100K miles in 2-½ years. No problems. Have 5.3L and 10-speed. Very reliable. Nothing has gone wrong. I feel the seat cushions are too short for someone over 6’.

Service Advisor Ted Weinsziehr is the main reason I will recommend this dealership to anyone. My wife (also known as "my boss") first took our vehicle to another GMC dealership on the south side of town, and our experience there was terrible. Our 2017 Yukon Denali was making a noise, but they couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. Because they couldn't identify the source of the problem, our warranty company wasn't going to approve repairs. To make matters worse, that dealership misled my wife, me, and the warranty company about work they claimed to have completed. After talking with several friends and a mechanic we trust, everyone recommended that we take our vehicle to Jim Ellis GMC, located at 5862 Peachtree Blvd. From the moment we arrived, Ted Weinsziehr made a great impression. He greeted us politely and asked how he could help. I explained that the vehicle would begin making the noise after about ten minutes of driving. Once Ted heard the sound, he immediately started the paperwork to have a diagnostic performed. He told us he would have an answer within 48 hours and he actually delivered in less than 48 hours. Ted provided outstanding customer service throughout the entire process. Every time my wife or I called, he either responded within minutes or returned our call within 24 hours. He was professional, honest, knowledgeable, and kept us informed every step of the way. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about their customers the way Ted does. I also want to recognize Nicole. Every time I called, she was friendly, kind, and welcoming. She always had a pleasant attitude when I asked to be transferred to Ted, and that level of professionalism did not go unnoticed. We can't thank Ted enough for everything he did for us. If you're looking for honest, dependable service, I highly recommend taking your vehicle to Jim Ellis GMC and asking for Ted Weinsziehr. If I could give him a 10-star rating, I absolutely would. 2026 GMC Sierra 3500 review
Overall pretty good, however it is undocumented if you turn off or adjust some of the safety setting it will cause light on dash to come on and make you think issue with system (ex collision if you change from default of alert and brake to alert only). I think this is an issue and should not light dash light to indicate an issue with the system because of alert settings.

2025 GMC Sierra 2500 review
So far so good! This truck is the nicest truck I have ever driven. The stance, ride comfort and options are top notch. I went from a 2023 High Country that was having drive train issues but had all the creature comforts that you would expect in a top of the line truck. With the lack of confidence in that particular models 10 speed transmission issues, it became necessary to reestablish my confidence in my General Motors product.

Poor and deceitful. Gave me an impression of a car in good condition but later found out that what they said was not true. Vehicle had taillight issues, engine oil at 50% brake pads and rotos messed up transmission fluid was not changed either. Car vibrates during stops. I was told something could be worked out if any issues but that is not true. No one answers the phone nor reply to text messages. Both the finance manager and the salespersons lied to me and that's not good for a business. Now i am stock with an issue that could have been avoided in the first place had they told me the truth.
2018 GMC Canyon review
Everything has worked well on this vehicle except the electronics. You have to turn heat passed 75 to get any heat and I just had to spend over $700.00 for stereo and Apple Car Play repairs

2021 GMC Canyon review
Did a ton of research on mid-sized trucks and targetted this one. Bought a creampuff with 37000 km on AT4 Long Box with all-leather seats. Replaced the headlights with Firehawk LEDs as the original halogens were way too dim. Love the power from the v6, and fuel consumption is 12l/100km...not bad. Love the ride and the fully adjustable front seats. Bose sound system is excellent, and the vehicle handles and brakes very well. No complaints at all on loom and feel, and really like the AWD+4x4 drive. I have owned many Subarus and the drive traction is easily comparable. I will be adding a K&N cold air intake and new exhaust to up the torque a bit for better trailering.

2019 Canyon Denali. All sorts of bells and whistles, several that I don't really need. Biggest complaint: no memory seats and no Homelink garage opener. Ridiculous. What accountant made that decision?

2021 GMC Sierra 2500 review
I love my 2021 GMC Denali 2500HD. I have gotten more complements on this truck than any other vehicle that I have owned. I get great highway fuel milage average 19-26mpg,which is great for a heavy duty truck!

2021 GMC Canyon review
I have loved and owned Chevy and GMC midsized trucks since 98 when I purchased a used S-10. My latest purchase is a 2021 GMC Canyon Denali bought brand new. It's been a great truck until my power steering unit went out due to corrosion. It only has 32,200 miles on it and I have never gotten it wet other than car washes and driving in the rain which is normal conditions. I had purchased a mid grade extended warranty through GMC after my lease was up and purchased the truck. I am being told this is NOT covered due to it being external wiring. So I feel this is a manufacturing malfunction and bad engineering for water to be able to get in to cause such corrosion so beware. This is an open case filed with GM currently to hopefully rectify the matter.

2021 GMC Canyon review
I bought my gmc canyon used with 29,300 miles on the odometer. It has the 2.8 ltr I-4 turbo diesel engine. I'm towing a 5,000 lb travel coach. First thousand miles was today. The small engine gets for me astounding fuel milage. Towing the coach i averaged 22. 8 mpg on a trip to the Eastern Sierras. 368 ft lbs of torque is more than enough to haul the trailer to 10,000 + ft elevation. Just be patient and use the torque to tow up a mountain. The fit and finish is excellent, the blue metallic paint turns heads. After 3 yrs a good waxing had it looking showroom new. This is my first gmc ever. If it holds up and runs 300,000 miles like the sales rep stated it's capable of doing. I'll let you know. The one down side is the emissions on the engine can cause reliability issues. Advice i found on a forum says use a good quality injection cleaner in every fill up . Every fill up for the life of the truck. They are capable 300,000 and higher if we'll cared for.

2025 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I have the 1500 double cab with standard bed. The reason I have this vehicle is I really like the 6.5 foot bed. The crew cab with same bed is just too long. The things I dislike about this model is that it only comes in the SLE model. For the 2025 that means the external mirrors do NOT have a power fold in and it does not have a seat memory for more that one driver. The power fold in for the mirrors is extremely important to me.

2024 GMC Sierra 2500 review
I've owned every other American truck and this is my first GMC. I bought the 2500 HD Texas Edition. I absolutely love this truck. It's everything I could have hoped for and more. It is able to pull my 30' travel trailer with no problems. So now when we go out with our trailer I'll have no worries. The look and feel of the truck is outstanding. The 6.6L gas engine actually gets great gas mileage. It gets about the same as my Ford f150 ecoboost. Probably better on the highway. Looking at about 13 miles in the city and 15 plus on the highway. Definitely got a better truck for the price compared to any other american models with the same characteristic and options.

2024 GMC Canyon review
Our AT4X has been an excellent mid-size truck. The ride is shockingly smooth and the engine has a lot of torque. Wish the interior had less plastic and GM's failure to have a rear view camera mirror or controls for garage/gate contols is inexcusible. Overall, could not be more pleased with this truck.

2019 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I bought a 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation. I traded in a FULLY loaded 2015 Sierra SLT, that I was really sad to see go, but the Elevation really sold me on styling and ride quality. I lost a couple high end bells and whistles, but the overall performance and look of the truck make up for it big time!

2015 GMC Sierra 1500 review
This truck is the base model and that is exactly what we were looking for. A good solid truck without all the fancy technology. It drives like a dream, handles just as well and the interior is sleek and well designed. Perfect black on black exterior.... a man's truck.
