2023 Toyota Prius Prime review
This car is overall great to own. I have an XSE trim, and though I would've liked to have XSE Premium's features, those are minor gripes at worst. Daily commutes are a breeze. I have a bit of a light foot while driving but it's easy to merge into traffic even in EV mode (161hp compared to 220hp in hybrid mode). Steering feels grounded and relative to how much effort should be put into turning. The braking is also good; it feels linear without any jolts or sponginess. The engine can get noisy if the battery's low (less than 25%) but it's seldom been an issue for me. Changing the drive mode to Sport makes regenerative braking slightly stronger and steering slightly heavier. I average about 4.8mi/kWh (161.7MPGe) and 56MPG. Road trips are also great in this vehicle. The EPA estimate for this vehicle's trim is 39 electric miles and 50MPG. I get about 40 miles with cruise control on, and MPG in the mid-high 50s or low 60s with good weather. Ride quality is smooth and there's no shaking when going over small bumps. The seats are comfortable up front even over long periods of time. It's a bit low getting in (especially in the back). Rear seats are a little snug; I'm 5'10½" and can fit well enough with a tiny bit of room to stretch my legs. I can fit my hand between my head and the ceiling, so anyone who's taller or has larger hair should stick to the front. Visibility is good overall. I had to adjust the steering wheel column down some to clearly see the dashboard information but it isn't uncomfortable to me. Outward visibility great out of the front and sides, but the rear window is pretty small. I would've opted for XSE Premium's digital rearview mirror if I frequently hauled larger things around. Cargo space and storage is pretty decent for the class. I can fit two midsize suitcases in the back with the tonneau cover on. The front and rear cupholders can hold 20oz travel mugs and the bottle holders in the doors can hold a 22fl oz can. The center console can hold a good amount of small objects and the tray in the middle can be removed for more space. All in all, I'd recommend the Prius to anyone looking for a small vehicle. The regular one is better on gas and has a bit more cargo space, but if you're able to regularly plug in, i'd say go for the PHEV variant.

I?ve had a long, rocky history with Dublin Toyota. I bought a Tacoma from them back in 2002, but when my wife and I went back 7 years ago for a Camry, we couldn't find a single person to help us. We walked out, went to the Honda dealership around the corner, and bought an Accord instead. I tried giving them one more shot recently to look at Tundras, but it was a total disaster. The salesman knew absolutely nothing about the trucks, dragged me all over the lot just trying to find them, and immediately started using high-pressure sales tactics. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. That disappointment led me online to find a better option, which is how I found AutoNation Toyota of Hayward. What a night-and-day difference! I worked with Omid to buy my new 4Runner last Saturday, and the experience was flawless. He was incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely friendly, played zero pricing games, and never pressured me into anything I didn?t want. The reason we use resources like Cars.com is to avoid the typical in person experience of buying a new car. I initially emailed SF Honda in regards to a vehicle I saw listed on Cars.com Surprisingly they replied back saying it was a glitch on the website and the vehicle was actually no longer available. I was looking more so for a year older vehicle yet still new. They were prompt to reply and let me know so at least the waiting and wondering wasn't a problem. I replied back and made a straight forward offer on a different vehicle. Surprisingly once again they replied and agreed on it despite me having my doubts. After that replies between emails were prompt. We settled on the price and I came in soon after. Nothing was changed as far as pricing from what was originally discussed in emails. It was a smooth despite long process. The facility is nice with a big space despite being in busy downtown San Francisco area. Parking is difficult but they accommodated me to park in the areas not really designated for the public. I had already came in with a preapproval from my bank, but found it strange I had to fill out another credit check? Almost seemed like they were trying to get me a better rate and to go with their in house lending. I did ask why, but they said it was protocol? I did still end up using my bank. Our sales person Vanessa Velasquez was accommodating and answered my questions that I had presented regarding the additions on the paperwork when it came down to purchasing the vehicle. Overall it was a smooth process and I really have no complaints. The overall staff from our sales consultant Vanessa to the finance manager have a consistent attitude of "straight forward" To some that might not be good enough as some customers want more of the soft happy go lucky attitude. Here at SF Honda, the do signs of it, but not overly done like most dealerships. Again, some will hate it, others don't mind. I personally didnt mind because in the end, it comes down to agreeing on a price. Vanessa was not push on options that I wanted removed. Our finance manager when it came down to almost closing on the vehicle also had to push other add ons which I'm sure they have to do. But did not ridicule or do high pressure tactics when ultimately I declined them. Everyone I dealt with was very professional. Probably more professional than personable as I mentioned above with the straight forward attitude. Vanessa did crack a smile every now and then, but she was definitely more passive, which I prefer. While our finance manager who helped on closing and doing all the paperwork was definitely more aggressive. Still, both did not exceed any boundaries to turn things into high pressure sales situation. The facility was clean, very open, which is rare and ironic these days in a city like San Francisco where real estate is usually very tight and small. They have plenty of inventory off site close by. Clean restrooms, and a nice waiting area with coffee machine that you can help yourself with. Our sales consultant Vanessa had actually got us refreshments while we were sitting down with her going over the details. I don't buy new cars often so this is a rare situation, but I had no problem and was satisfied with my experience. San Francisco Honda is very professional. A perk of purchasing here especially if you are coming from out of town is you can spend time in the city.
2025 Honda Civic review
I traded in a 2017 Honda CR-V Touring because it was going to to cost more to fix the major issues (as a second owner I did not know the CR-V had that many things wrong). I put money down on the Civic Sport that I was going to use for the repairs. I do have to say it's a nice car and I hope it will last longer than I expect. That being said I didn't want to buy another Honda but I did go to a dealership that I trust more than anybody else. I will come back and further my review once I have 5,000 miles on it.

2023 Honda Civic review
After changing jobs and having to drive 100 miles round trip, I decided to buy the 2023 Honda Civic, I think it was the best decision of my life, not only does it save me a lot of gas but it looks spectacular on the outside and not to mention The interior is simply perfect with a lot of space, like any criticism there are negative points such as the sound system which in my opinion lacks power to be able to listen to your favorite songs at full volume, another point that I would like to highlight is that it lacks entry to the car without having to use your remote control even my 2011 grand cherokee has it, in a general perspective it seems like a good car for price, safety and appearance, it has been my first honda and I think I will continue with the tradition of continuing to buy this model for a long time

2024 Polestar 2 review
We first leased a 2024 Polestar 2 and really enjoyed it. Then we were in a significant crash where the vehicle at fault was much larger. We walked away unscathed and the Polestar did an incredible job keeping us safe. It's built on a Volvo frame, and the car felt absolutely solid during the crash. The other car had significantly more damage and fortunately the drivers were ok. We ended up purchasing a used Polestar after the crash and are really happy with it. Smooth ride, feels very tight and handles well. Yes, the interior shows dirt a bit but love that Polestar is incorporating recycled materials in the interiors. It's really a joy to drive and is a steal, given that it's cheaper than a Volvo, while sharing many Volvo components and frame. No mechanical issues for either the first or second Polestar.

2018 Honda Civic review
I have had my car for a few years now. I have 102k on it now. I took it in for the A/C recall and Fuel pump. My injectors were replaced as part of the fuel pump recall. I have had zero other issues, all was paid for. I am as happy with it now as I have ever been. I get a constant 35MPG combined and it has 205hp with excellent handling. I’m old, I’ve had a lot of cars. This is truly an engineering marvel. How could you get this mileage and power for that price? Do your research. I drive it very aggressively in so cal canyons etc and it makes me smile.. that alone is worth the reasonable price. Mine is stock, but my warranty just ended at 100k so stay tuned……

2018 Mazda Mazda3 review
I haven't owned a 4 cylinder in a long time. I had a turbo 5 Volvo, a 6 cylinder accord, and a Mercedes c300 6 as my last three cars, then before that I owned a last model year RSX (2006, I wouldn't count the new ones) for a long time so that's the closest comparison to this. I think the RSX felt a bit more sporty (I didn't have the Type S), but as for power they're a pretty close match, and I bet the Mazda 3 would smoke it off the line with it's torque heavy engine. I think the RSX looked more sporty too, it had probably a more mature styling to it that I appreciate now even more than I did when I owned one, but I will say every time I look at my Mazda 3 I like it more and more. I've seen a thousand of these on the road and never had a strong opinion on them, but my girl in red keeps growing on me, and when I take the dog out for walks I circle the car and look it over and understand it more and more. I have a 2018 fully loaded GT, and the interior is mostly it's strongest positive. The facelifted w204 is easily the nicest looking interior I've ever been in, and the accord maybe the most comfortable, but this is incredibly close to the accord in terms of comfort and only lacking in slightly worse seats and less room. The seats are great though, but the 2012 accords were some of the best I've say in. The fake leather has a great balance of firm and give to it, and what's even better is the whole interior is wrapped in a similar nice synthetic material that's a joy to be wrapped in. I've never owned a car where my arms are supported on both sides in such a comfortable manner. I'm 6'1 so I keep my seat low but I feel like I have a good deal of room, in fact, I test drove a 2023 (gen 4) Mazda 3 that was an incredible price, about $800 off from my 2018 and even less miles but the new interior design is nowhere close to as good as what we get in the gen 3. You have almost no room to spread your legs out in the newer models and that's a deal breaker for me. The one major weakness of the 2018's interior is the tablet on top of the dash looks hideous. I think I mentioned earlier my model is fully loaded, and I mean it. But what's that mean, a premium sound system, some exterior trim pieces tacked on? Nope, here we have some genuinely cool features. Adaptive headlights that turn with the wheel, a heads up display that's projected on a piece of clear plastic that raises up when you start the engine and can show speed, road signs, blind spot info, next GPS heading, etc. We have automatic windshield wipers, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a great Bose sound system, paddle shifters. My car has more bells and whistles than my wife's high trim 2023 Tuscon. I really love my little Mazda, and I'm hoping to take it down some back roads to see if I can enjoy the driving part as much as some others do, as I've mostly spent time on the highway or in stop and go so far. This was a purchase I was unsure of 3 days ago when I made it, but every couple waking hours something pulls me to that car, whether to drive it or just to sit in it. I know now I've made a great choice.

2016 MINI Countryman review
This is our third MINI. We have a 2008 Cooper and a 2013 Countryman. It's become an addiction. Usually, by the time we pay off a vehicle we want to replace it. Not with MINI. We love ours and the 2016 Countryman is no exception. It's larger than the 2013, but it's still familiar. I'm the shortest at 5'9". Hubby is just under 6' and our son is 6'2". We all feel like the MINI's were designed for tall people. We refer to them as TARDISes because they are bigger on the inside. Smooth ride. Comfortable handling. Safe. Extremely reliable. Stylish. Would highly recommend.

2011 Honda CR-Z review
I have been wanting to purchase a CRZ when they 1st hit the market in 2010 but due to a large family I could not. Fast forward to the year 2023 and I was walking the lot at a Honda dealer looking to replace my daily commuter car when I saw a 2012 CRZ base 6 speed manual for sale for well under market value. The best part was the car had a clean carfax, only 1 owner and all service was completed at a Honda dealer every 7,000 miles. The car only had 79,000 miles and it looked new. So I bought it and had it delivered to my home. I was shocked to see how low the roofline was. The car is so small and very fun to drive. It took me a few minutes to get used to a 6 speed manual transmission but it didn't take me long due to the fact my 1st car was a Civic 4 speed manual transmission. The CRZ is VERY easy to park. Now backing up is a bit hard due to the very limited view but after many years working in a work truck with NO rear view it was no big deal. The MPG is better then any other car I have ever owned. I love the fact it only takes less than 8 gallons when I fill up the tank. Yes people stare at me standing next to their huge pickup truck putting gas in at the gas station and I pull up in this tiny CRZ and I just smile. Now the bad news. The EV battery will eventually have to be replaced and I am not sure when that will be but I doubt I will get the battery to last the next 7 years when I am due to retire. The replacement battery today is $2,300 but I will be ok with that due to the fact a tesla battery is well over $16,000 to replace. Overall I love the CRZ, it looks sporty, it drives great, great on gas, easy to park and very low to the ground. May I add I do not need a step stool to wash the roof of the car and that's a bonus. Great car and rumor has it Honda will be making a comeback with another CRZ in the near future (they just trademarked the CRZ name). History: They only made about 34,000 CRZ'z from 2010 - 2016 so these cars, some day may be worth some money.

2018 Mazda Mazda3 review
but I loved this 2018 Mazda 3 HB so much, I kept it for myself! We needed a hatchback with good mileage & reasonable insurance rates for our college bound daughter. We drove just about every low - mid range hatchback out there: Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra GT, VW Golf etc. The Mazda 3 was not even on our radar. We just happened to see one at a car lot while test driving a Honda Fit. We really liked the look, so we took it for a spin. It was fabulous! Now to be clear, I'm NOT your typical small car guy. I've been driving a Suburban & Ford Flex Limited for the past 20 years. But this little car blew me away. Much more comfortable than any of the others we'd driven. It seemed to have more power/speed. It handled like a dream. The brakes were super. The interior was so much nicer than the others & it was loaded with option like heated seats, BLIS, power leather driver seat, moonroof, back up cam, navigation and a crisp & loud Bose sound system. The road noise was minimal. We bought it on the spot & plan to buy another one - for her -soon. Absolutely love this car. I didn't care for the radio controls (by shifter) at first - but now I don't think I'd have it any other way. Just a great little car! Averaging 32mpg combined.

2022 Honda Civic review
I absolutely love mine in comfort I think that it could have been a little bit better but that's on long trips. Short trips the comfort is fine. My car was totaled and my airbags blew on my steering wheel and at my legs and I'm so glad that they did because I really would have gotten hurt without those airbags The seat belt also did its job very well and the brakes warning light came on first then the brakes came on the exact same time I was putting the brakes on a guy ran a stop sign and there really wasn't much I could do but hit him which it did total my car and I am now looking for another one of the exact same kind I want my car back I love my Honda Civic sport touring.

I looked on line and saw a few cars I was interested in. The next weekend I drove to Colma to checked out and test drive a couple of cars. I decided to ask about Hybrids...you had 2. I test drove one of them and could not resist. I bought it. I was very impressed with the buying process. It was quick, easy and believe it or not relaxing since the sales person completed the paper work for me. Yes, I had to sign several sheets but that was a given. Something I was dreading for the past two years, was so surprisingly easy I couldn't believe it!!!

2021 Honda Civic review
I have the touring edition with all the bells and whistles. This top of the line car really boasts quality, the chrome touches and unique front end really makes it stand out. If you drive it in sport it drives really well along with great gas mileage. The ten speaker 452 watt sounds great, wish the subwoofer was larger but if you tune it well most songs sound good. The touring exterior really looks sharp, it looks different from the lower models.

It has been a little over 8 months since I purchased my mustang gt from Anytime Auto. I have had to make a couple small repairs but overall I'm still so happy with the service I received and how easy it was to make the whole deal happen. The paperwork was so fast and easy, when they gave me the keys I think I was in partial shock. Since I was coming from out of town they did most of it and had it ready when I arrived which was great. The day I came was the only day I had out of work for around 2 weeks and I had to rush about 2 hours to get there in time to get the car, sign the papers and drive home. Also, with it marked so far under bluebook value, very low miles.. I had to get it. Problem was, I needed to go that day but had nobody to drive my old vehicle back for me so they allowed me to park my old car on their property for a few days until I could have someone come back to pick it up which to me was so helpful and was appreciated. So thank you guys for selling me my dream car. She's runnin so nice and smooth.
2009 Volvo C30 review
A nimble and quick hatchback. A total sleeper that outperforms a Mini or a VW. Very safe as well. The interior style is like a modern art museum.

2014 BMW i3 review
I bought this 15K miles base model (Electric engine only) for 10K. A steal. Pros: 3 Driving modes for different conditions. Free public ev charging stations, usually charges 26 miles per hour or more, and that means free rides. Easy connectivity Stylish look (people actually have that what heck is that look) Nice cargo space once back seats are down. Cons: Inconsistent mile range readings. Range anxiety. Original Charger is a joke. 40 miles highway travel takes 12+ to recharge. 2-3 miles per hour recovery. Bmw either thinks people will bleed 50k (originally) for a substitute car, or people will always have 12-16 hours time to move between errands. Doors design is unusual. Still not as ridiculous as a coupe door design. Cargo space is so tiny with backseats up. Carseats for infants are difficult to place without sacrificing significant space for either the driver or the front passenger. My final verdict. If you purchase a 24amp or a more capable charger than you can manage. If you're soccer mom, or switch your hats often, this base model may not be for you. Still, if you really really a planner it may work out beautifully. If you're purchasing this as second car for the family, then you can save tons in cost. If you spot a free ev charging station you can literally run your range to close to empty then leave it at the charging station and picked it up after couple of hours.
