2017 Honda HR-V review
I will try updating this as I continue using the car. So far I have 50k miles on my 2017 HRV and I’ve done a battery replacement, tire replacement and a few oil changes. Other than these things I have not had to spend any extra money on the car. I have a peace of mind knowing that this car won’t break down because it’s a Honda. Despite all of this I deducted a point from my scoring because my trim didn’t have Apple CarPlay, I wish it was standard like other manufacturers have it as. I also don’t think the exterior looks the best, but it’s fine. The AWD on this car is great and has helped me through Pennsylvanian winters. Overall I think this is the best value for the money.

2022 Honda HR-V review
The HR-V is a great vehicle, however, the option of heated seat is enemic. Have taken back to dealer 3 times for testing and they say there is nothing wrong and meets specs. I changed dealers and got the same resuts. Well my bottom tells another story and have tested both driver and passenger for heat in the dead of winter of winter. There is absolutely no heat from either seat. Tested from current dealer with the same results. Maybe we are jinxs as my wife and other passengers can confirm lack of heat, or, no heat at all.

2026 Honda HR-V review
Previous ownership of Honda vehicles because of their reliability. It' the number reason for this purchase. The HR-V is perfect for my wife and I as it's affordable to operate and maintain, comfortable size wise, simplistic in its design and features. So many vehicles just have too many electronic extras that just are not needed or even used. Love the clean design and fit and finish of the interior components, dash, panels, trim and seats etc. It's Honda reliability, a nice car for the price.

He gave me the time to make a decision, narrowing it down to two cars of interest, which he then allowed us to test drive. Fell in love with a Honda Accord. From there, Jacob went above and beyond to present a deal that we were very comfortable with. While he was putting everything in motion for us, he also took the time to make sure we were comfortable in our wait for all the proper paperwork to be completed….asking if we wanted, or needed, a beverage, or snack. 2025 Honda HR-V review
Love the car....I have 2 concerns. First, the driver's seat is not comfortable (this is my wife's car) ....the other seats are fine. This is weird. We have the all wheeled drive version. It loves gasoline !!! My Toyota Corolla gets 38-40 mpg with a smaller but peppier engine. This HR-V Gets between 25-28.....not sure why. HOWEVER. This car drives like a dream... VERY SMOOTH. Love the car !!!

On Sunday, August 7th, as my husband and I were driving our one year old Honda CR-V to the Newport Jazz Festival, we started to hear some odd sounds whenever we drove over a bump. My husband parked at one point and looked under the car and found that our splash guard underneath the car was the culprit. We were almost at Newport, so we decided to enjoy our day of jazz and window-shopping and then called the general number of the Honda road repair people, who suggested that we visit the Saccucci Honda dealership, which was on our way home. Usually, I dread being at a car dealership, enduring the slow wait for the completion of car repairs. But what a surprisingly pleasant experience greeted me at the Saccucci Honda dealership near Newport. First of all, a friendly golden retriever welcomed us when we walked into the waiting room. It even sat obediently so as to earn a doggy biscuit. I enjoyed petting the friendly, tail-wagging creature, who roamed around freely, dispensing affection and companionship. Apparently, there are other dogs as well, though I didn’t see them. I assume that if a client is allergic to dog dander, the dogs are corralled into a special “dander-free” area for them. As a dog-lover who lost my beloved black lab, Spartacus, two years ago, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to interact with this friendly pup. I had pleasant conversations with two older men in the waiting room, who also dog turned out to be dog-lovers. Ordinarily, I seldom talk to strangers in a car dealership. Within less than an hour, we learned that our splash guard had been hanging down, with the retainers not held in place. The repairman noted that it looked like the previous mechanic at our Honda dealership in Massachusetts had screwed up during our recent visit there, so they diagnosed our problem waived our bill, urging us to return to the previous dealership to have it fixed. The canine ambassador broke the ice and enabled me to enjoy two conversations with other canine fans that made the time fly. Needless to say, I was so impressed that the people at Saccucci dealership willingly took responsibility for our problem, even though they had not caused it. I heartily recommend visiting this dealership, if you are ever near Newport. Having friendly dogs roaming as ambassadors in a car dealership is a brilliant idea. I hope other dealerships pick up on this practice. After two years of Covid, we all need to start socializing again. *****Well done, Saccucci Honda!!! And I’m not related to any of the staff either. 2018 Honda HR-V review
Some early reviewers did not like the power, but it has been fine for me. I am not racing anyone. I like the “magic seat” capability. That has been useful many times. Driven literally across the country — California to Florida — with little fatigue. 60,000 miles and no maintenance issues.

I have owned my HR-V for about a month. Did have to tint my windows was no big deal. I think it had great power has alot on get up and go. Just the right size for me. Still learning what all the buttons do. Overall I am very pleased. First Honda owned.

2017 Honda HR-V review
I own a 2017 Honda HRV 1.5 Petrol FW CVT (European model). I’m the first owner and I just reached 220k Kilometers. No issues so far except for a start/stop button replacement and a scheduled suspension replacement (200k). All the services and oil changes were made on time according to the manual. I also started doing the oil/fluid changes (engine & cvt transmission) in less kilometers than the proposed schedule once the car reached 180k kilometers. The European edition 1.5 petrol motor responds well but I believe that a bigger motor would be more suitable for the specific model. I’ve traveled a lot on asphalt, gravel and snow (with a good pair of snow tires) and in temperatures varying between 14 to 113 Fehrenheit.

I absolutely love my 2017 HRV. No problems with it at all. Im regular on my oil changes. Did have to get a new battery last winter . First new set of tires this year (2023). I would highly reccomend the HRV. Best car Ive ever had

2022 Honda HR-V review
Very happy with my HR-V sport model. Exterior design of the car is very nice Interior is a little small with not much room for storing things. Would not recommend this car to avery large person but for a smaller individual it is perfect, Runs well, has more pick up than I thought it would have. Based on only been driving it for 3 weeks I do recommend it.

2024 Honda HR-V review
So slow it’s almost unsafe! Front seats are not comfortable. Blind spot in side mirrors. Everything else is good. Base engine needs 40 more horses. Sport trim should have a turbo engine.

2024 Honda HR-V review
Love how car handles. The HRV is wonderful on traveling bc I have arthritis and it was a pleasure to drive on long trips. It’s smooth riding and an attractive car. It is easier to get into than the CRV bc I am short (5’2) so I had to climb up into CRV but not HRV.

2023 Honda HR-V review
For: Safety, Reliability, 2.0 liter K series engine has been proven to be a long lasting, relatively low maintenance power plant devoid of direct fuel injection, turbo .. The engine is smooth and quiet unless pushed hard. The chassis is capable. The ride good for this class of vehicle, especially if fitted with improved tires such as the Michelin Defender 2. Brakes are good. Headlights decent, Cabin room is good. Knee room more than adequate in the rear seats. Overall a well thought out design. Negatives : If you drive fast this is not the vehicle for you. Fuel economy is not as good as direct injection competitors. Don’t expect to tow anything as it’s a CVT. The rumored upcoming hybrid will make this an even better vehicle.

2018 Honda HR-V review
I bought my 2018 Honda HRV new with only 53 miles on it and while I was very hesitant initially to get a new car (because depreciation) it was definitely the best decision for me. The car is comfortable to drive, gets great gas mileage, and has been very relatable over the last 5 years. I’ve put new tires on and changed the oil and standard maintenance items. The absolute worst thing I can say is I wish it wasn’t manual seat adjustments, I have the base model.
