2016 MINI Hardtop review
BMW / Mini really got it right with this 3rd generation 2016 Mini Cooper S. None of the headaches or reliability issues of previous years.... This car is incredible to drive. This is as solid a car as any car in the current BMW line up. Draws looks and smiles every where we go. So many features, So quick and responsive, it is incredible, way ahead of its time. The performance is exhilarating. My wife and I used this as a weekend car to drive up to our sailboat to spend the weekend on beautiful Lake Texoma from Frisco about a 60 mile trip each way to spend the weekends. Solid, safe secure, very reliable and dependable. Never had a problem one! We had more fun driving this car than any other we have ever owned and we have had 2 Honda Civics, 4 Honda Accord Sports of various years , 2017 CRV, 3 Porsches, a 2016 944, 2004 & 2013 Boxer S, and a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Limited. This baby tops them all... This car is a smile a mile....

When we saw that a software update was available we tried to figure out how to go about accomplishing that update, but found outselves stuck. We knew that if we headed to Mini of Montgomery we’d get some help with the update. We were lucky enough to be graciously & skillfully assisted by Jay Duck. With incredible patience, Jay walked us through how to accomplish the software update, pausing patiently while I jotted down notes so we’d know how to handle the next update. Jay also took the time to help us explore & understand other aspects of the new Mini’s impressive technology. Was a bit put off by the fact that there’s one number for all Carmax is and. It’s hard to tell which location you’re talking to and if you’re talking to a person at that actual location. I understand they’re trying to consolidate things and make it easier, but I want to be able to reach someone, boots on the ground, at the location instead of talking to The call center. That said it seems even when talking to two different dealerships somehow the system sort out the messages but again it’s confusing. Overall, they were fast and friendly, we haven’t done a transaction yet but one thing that was surprising is the offer they gave me 10 days ago has now gone up by $1500. Much better experience than I had braced myself for frankly. So far the two cars that I was hoping to purchase turn out to be duds as they had some excessive wear and tear in spite of low mileage and otherwise good conditions. Maybe less discriminating on their inventory than the other dealers?

2016 MINI Hardtop review
I got a wonderful car from Imported Motor Cars in Maine. It’s a beautiful car, incredibly fun to drive, and surprisingly fits tall folks well (my husband is 6’5”). The 2016 model is high in reliability according to CR, and I haven’t found it to be different. It has great gas mileage and is pretty good in snow.

2016 MINI Hardtop review
After 23 years of driving minivans and SUVs, I was ready for a change. I love my 2016 Mini Cooper S 4 door. with the 6 speed manual transmission. Car is great to drive, gets okay mileage (25+mpg) and is surprisingly practical.
