LOVE this car! Feels deluxe and fun to drive! It's as big as any other SUV, lots of stowage for trips. Drive in Standard Mode, ECO Mode, Sport Mode. High technology inside, Bluetooth, diagnostics, alert settings, too many bells & whistles to name them all. Built-in alarm & tracking system. Mini Logo door lights. 2020 MINI Countryman review
I acquired a Mini Countryman S, and it is a really fun vehicle! It has an engine and styling by engineering partner BMW, a Japanese transmission, and is assembled in the Netherlands. Here comes the BUT....be sure to at least be in the S (sport) level. The standard vehicle just does not produce the power that this larger and heavier vehicle needs. Also. be aware that this vehicle has a double clutch. Be sure you understand what that is before investing in this type of car. I personally wanted a car with personality that I would not see a million clones of on the road, such as the ubiquitous Nissan Rogue. There are some quirks I could do without, like the goofy accent lighting and counter intuitive door handles and hard to get used to gear stick. But there are attractive trim level upgrades that make this a fantastic vehicle, as well as some standard features...like the panoramic sunroof and roof rails. I suggest the sport seats, the power lift boot gate, the JCW steering wheel and Mini Connect. The Premium package is a great choice. I don't personally care for the ALL4 (4 wheel drive), as it's a 3k upgrade that I didn't find worth the extra money when driving an ALL4. My vehicle has the extremely fun paddle shifters, combine it with Sport Mode, and this car is the epitome of a total blast! Reliability you say? I was worried about that too, as like many car brands MINI is notorious. Well, they are changing perceptions. Routine Maintenance is included, paired with a decent warranty and the option to buy additional mechanical coverage...not a bad deal for 22 bucks a month for extended mechanical protection. I was seeking a smaller, stylish, zippy, sporty SUV with luxury finishes....and MINI fits that bill. Give MINI a try if you've never driven one!

2018 MINI Countryman review
This MINI is significantly more comfortable than our previous one. It sacrifices very little in maneuverability or performance, for the huge gain in ride comfort. The ECO mode really quiets the car and smooths the ride while traveling on interstate highways, and the Sport mode tightens the suspension and quickens acceleration, making a country road blast more exciting. Reliability is light years ahead of the R-series MINI's. For those who owned and were burned by the R56, R55 or R60 MINI's, the F-series are worth a second look.

Since 2014 I have purchased three new cars at Janesville Subaru (a Legacy, Forester Premium and recently a Forester Limited). Allow me to share my experiences. The salesperson I deal with is Deana Watry. Deana sold me my first car from this dealership – but it was not my first Subaru which was purchased back in the 1980’s! I was impressed with Deana from the start. She was able to answer questions and get me into a vehicle my wife and I were seeking. If Deana did not know an answer she would find it. Over the years of brining cars in for servicing Deana maintained contact and ensured things were continuing to go well. As a buyer in his late 60’s I have dealt with a variety of salespeople in other dealerships selling other makes and models. Most in sales are simply out for themselves and will tell you whatever they like to get a sale – buyer regret usually followed. Deana is personally interested in helping us get what we wanted within our budget. Subaru of America had me reach out to Janesville Subaru to have them evaluate the seat. Within 10 minutes the problem had been fixed. A quarter had fallen into the seat track and stopped the seat from moving. There was no charge. I gave the bent quarter to the service manager with my thanks! I’ve only had service done there since. Buying tires - they are competitive with the large retailers. This means free rotation with oil change and free car wash. Travel is part of my job. Having a dependable car is essential. The dealership is good at keeping me updated about regular maintenance. In the service department, Jonathan and others work to schedule according to your time frame. It has been common for me to get in on short notice. I like the dealership and believe you will as well. Be sure to ask for Deana if you want to buy.
2018 MINI Countryman review
Bought a 2018 Mini Countryman Base model pre owned and have loved everyday with it. Only had one issue and that being something with the Valve Gas Breather. I have yet to fix it yet and it’s been about 3 months. Doesn’t cause any noticeable performance issue (besides the decrease in fuel mileage), just the check engine light on. Other than that, I drive this around the island. Very easy to park and maneuver around. I am planning on getting the newer Mini Countryman about 2 years after they’re released so they can work out all the kinks and stuff.

2016 MINI Hardtop review
After 23 years of driving minivans and SUVs, I was ready for a change. I love my 2016 Mini Cooper S 4 door. with the 6 speed manual transmission. Car is great to drive, gets okay mileage (25+mpg) and is surprisingly practical.

2016 MINI Countryman review
I purchased the used 2016 Mini S Countryman All Wheel Drive in March 2019. It is a great car for everyday commuting, with a lot of options including leather seats and sunroof. I did about 10k miles (currently at 33k). It has a sportive driving at low fuel consumption. Lots of fun to drive with great mechanics and reliability of a German car.

2019 MINI Convertible review
This is my second Mini convertible, my previous one was a 2007... I also own a 2014 Mini Clubman. I just LOVE this car!! Super fun to drive and "dress up" with little customizations. I have the "S" model in an automatic now and, unfortunately, it's not as good on gas as my '07 manual was, but hey, it's a small price to pay for so much fun!

I just completed my yearly service at Capitol Kia. They did an excellent job with the car, even completing a wheel alignment without charge. In addition to the service, I was going to order a replacement outside rear view mirror, because someone had scraped the mirror in a parking lot, leaving a nasty white paint scar. However the technician suggested that they might be able to buff out the paint transfer. They were able to successfully buff out the paint damage, saving me about $500 in an insurance claim.
2015 MINI Hardtop review
Transports more than other 4 door cars. Drives fantastic. Smooth, yet sporty and nimble ride, with plenty of quick acceleration when needed. Very reliable, with easy maintenance.

2017 MINI Countryman review
I've owned this MINI Countryman Cooper S for several years, and it has been one of my favorite vehicles I've ever owned. I had always wanted a MINI, and after owning one, I can honestly say I have no regrets. What surprised me most was how comfortable it is. I've taken multiple long road trips in this vehicle, and unlike some cars I've owned in the past, I never felt stiff or uncomfortable after spending hours behind the wheel. The seats are supportive, and it's a great vehicle for both daily driving and longer journeys. The handling is outstanding. It has that tight, responsive feel that people who enjoy driving BMWs will appreciate. It feels connected to the road, corners confidently, and is simply fun to drive every time you get behind the wheel. I also like that the technology is useful without being overwhelming. It has the features I want, but it still feels like a driver's car rather than a computer on wheels. The panoramic sunroof, premium audio system, and overall interior design make it feel more upscale than its price point would suggest. Most of all, I love the styling. The Countryman stands out from the crowd and has a unique personality that many vehicles lack. Every time I walked up to it, it felt like I was getting into something special. It's practical enough for everyday use, comfortable enough for road trips, and distinctive enough to put a smile on your face. If you're looking for a compact SUV that's fun, comfortable, and different from everything else on the road, the MINI Countryman is worth serious consideration.

2024 MINI Hardtop review
A brilliant mark of automotive excellence. An abundance of personality, only to be outdone by my 9lb chihuahua. - 135 horsepower is more than plenty on the freeway, and far too much for the city. - The design of the interior cabin feels I am already in the future, as opposed to the present. - The cabin is also very quiet. I hardly hear cars and noise around me - the sound quality from the sound system is spectacular, and the audio from phone calls is unbelievably clear. - I've never driven a car with better handling. I would say it is in a Goldielocks zone of having enough wiggle for comfort and stiffness for performance.

2018 MINI Countryman review
Purchased this used for my son at a great value and it is a very engaging car to drive. Whats remarkable is how it has almost everything my BMW X7 has in terms of tech. It has plenty of pep and the ride is what I expected for a sporty small vehicle. Interior room is more than expected and the sunroof is much quieter than my BMW that you will forget its open. The build quality is better than any vehicle in this segment and MPG is better than what they list on the specs. Handling is precise and braking is grabby until you get used to it. The only negative is the Run Flat tires which I will replace.
