2016 Subaru Legacy review
My third Subaru and like the others is attractive and roomy enough to fit 5. I've hauled 8ft boards inside with the doors/trunk closed (only an Outback would hold more). The (now sadly discontinued) 6-cyl engine has about 51000 miles now and is smooth and sounds better than a four. Fuel economy is decent and, on regular gas, averages in the low 20s. It has all the 'nannies' which make driving safer for me. I just love looking at my car which is important to me. This one's a keeper!

2019 Subaru Legacy review
I drive eighty miles round trip to work. My Legacy is quiet, comfortable and the Eye Sight is great! I’m safe and secure knowing my Subaru has my back. I’d like better mpg but at 32 on average I guess I shouldn’t complain. Love my Subie!

2018 Subaru Legacy review
Purchased new in March 2018 Legacy Limited 2.5. Used as main commuting car until late 2023-now has 89000 miles. Commute 84 miles roundtrip at 80-85 mph, very steady and secure and 29-30mpg. Excellent in heavy rain (never driven in snow) we get in Houston. Will keep 4 more years but Subaru discontinued the Legacy so likely another brand if I want a sedan.

2022 Subaru Legacy review
from the first day I had it I haven’t had any issues with it as it handles great and gas economy is awesome. I don’t have a negative to write. I drove Lincoln’s for the last 20 or more years and because they stopped making cars and only Crossovers or SVU’s, I searched high and low to find an equivalent car and googled all the options that were a must and the Subaru Legacy Elite came up and my husband and I went to look and drove out with our new car and couldn’t be happier. The ride is comfortable and the car is just great.

2014 Subaru Legacy review
I love the AWD system. The car handles very well in snow. It handles really good no matter the road conditions. I've owned this car for 7 years and it's never left me stranded. Gets decent gas mileage. And it has great visibility. The 2014 Legacy 3.6R is overall my favorite car I've ever owned. If I had one thing I'd like to see improved, it would be to make a turbo or preferably a twin turbo version with like 450HP.

2025 Subaru Legacy review
I was planning to buy a luxury brand and test drove the BMW 3 series, the Audi A4, and the Lexus ES300. I then, due to reviews on Consumer Reports, tested the Subaru Legacy in it's top form, the Touring XT with a 260 HP engine, and I was blown away. Almost as quick as the BMW but rode smoother and quieter. Not as smooth and quiet as the Lexus, but more fun to drive. The Audi seemed cramped and the dealer was a disappointment. The Legacy interior was the most attractive in my opinion, has 4 wheel drive, a great sound system, and ended up being my favorite of the 4 cars, regardless of price. When you consider how competitive (or better) the Legacy is compared to the other 3 cars, and that I saved $13,000 on the price, it was a no brainer. It's really sad the Legacy is being discontinue, but all my comments also apply to the Outback Touring XT. The Legacy is a great car at a bargain price.

I’m 75 years old and have been driving since I was 15. I’ve owned many vehicles during my life, both domestic and foreign made. The ‘18 Legacy is the best car I have ever owned. Generally, I don’t care for CVT transmissions but this CVT mated to the 2.5 liter engine is surprisingly quick in city driving. On the highway it accelerates and cruises effortlessly. Surprising for a non turbo, non hybrid 4 cylinder gasoline engine. Approximately 25 mpg around town and 37 Hwy. Fit and finish are excellent on my Legacy both interior and exterior. 4 years later the cabin remains quiet with no squeaks or rattles. The ride is smooth and luxuriously comfortable. It absorbs road imperfections nicely. Seats are comfortable with plenty of legroom front and rear. Plenty of Eyesight safety features but without the annoying auto stop/start and ACTIVE lane keep assist (these 2 features were added after 2018). The infotainment system is not perfect but overall well designed - My one criticism is that the voice recognition feature is mediocre. In summary, a very, very nice well made 4 door sedan.
